  1. Yes sir - take a look at Koray Erdogan. He is producing knockout FUE results, and is able to do mega-sessions at ridiculously cheap prices. I would also recommend Dr Feriduni in Belgium - he seems to be best of the best. You can't go wrong with either of the above. If you are going with FUE, you definitely need to pick the right surgeon as their are plenty of clowns and butchers out there dic#?ng around with FUE.
  2. I agree. With the top. 2 on your list. Maybe add Maras, however you can't go wrong with Erdogan. Are your looking at strip or FUE?
  3. Haha - love it Actually if I ever had a heart attack, I think I would just find a heart network forum, and post my symptoms there asking the readers what they think I should do. Seriously though, which HT surgeon did you use? I'm shocked he never provided you with an emergency number to call?
  4. Looks good, but wonder if 2,500 grafts was enough. Interesting to see how this pans out though, good luck and happy growing
  5. Also are you comparing apples with oranges? Yes, Dr Rahal's strip results are going to look much better than the Turkish surgeons FUE results in terms of density, but if you compare Dr Rahal's FUE results with theirs - then different story.
  6. If you go with strip, that eliminates Erdogan as he only offers FUE. I do not believe that going to Turkey is the best alternative if you are electing a strip procedure. Turkey is however the best alternative if you elect FUE over FUT.
  7. Actually not entirely true David. Dr Maras in Cyprus, as I believe he is in the Greek half of the island. With that being said, be prepared to travel outside of Greece. I recommend taking a look at Erdogan of Turkey and Feriduni of Belgium.
  8. 1200 - 1300 is nothing these days. Have you considered travelling to Turkey?
  9. Jacques Kallis and Shane Warne both had procedures
  10. I recently consulted with Joe regarding choosing between one of his former bosses and a surgeon that to my knowledge Joe has never had or does not currently have any affiliation to at all. Although I was sort of expecting Bias towards his former boss, the opinion I got was completely objective and based on the facts and circumstances specific to my own situation, Joe recommended the other surgeon, his rationale made perfect sense, and was clearly in my own best interests. I really appreciated his objective viewpoint and honesty. Joe had nothing to gain in this instance and is clearly trying to share his own wealth and knowledge. Thank you Joe!!!
  11. Honestly, that added convenience shouldn't even be a factor at all. It's nice to be in nearby for the 1st few days after surgery (which you should always plan to be when seeing an out of town Dr) - but outside of the 1st week there is absolutely no added benefit being nearby. If something goes wrong after the 1st week, there is really nothing the good doc can do for you. In terms of follow-ups - sending high quality pics to the surgeon is more than sufficient.
  12. I couldn't disagree more. Just because the guy is relatively new to this forum doesn't mean he doesn't have a wealth of knowledge on the subject. I appreciate hearing all the differing views, and I think we can all tell when someone who doesn't have a clue makes a silly statement. hairjo, welcome to this incredible community, and don't let this guy get to you.
  13. Hey bud, I seriously doubt Dr. Feller would ever railroad a patient into FUT on the day of surgery, nor did he give the impression that he would. There is a consultation process you go through before booking a procedure with the good Dr. I highly doubt he would book you in for an FUE and then force you to switch it up to an FUT procedure on the day of (for a lessor fee nocha). Do you have any evidence to back up that baseless and silly allegation? I don't have Dr Feller on my shortlist of top 5 surgeons either, but that statement was ridiculous.
  14. Hear you go - http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/179706-strip-vs-fue-vs-mfue-dr-alan-feller-great-neck-ny.html
  15. "Which is a better "guarantee" that the hair wont die?" - Strip. Dr Feller posted a very informative video on this topic a few days ago. Its a must see. "Which is better in terms of density?" - One method over the other will not make a single difference if your surgeon can get the same number of "survived" grafts. Strip surgeons can get more grafts in one single session than FUE surgeons for the most part if you are looking for a mega-session. Dr Erdogan and other Europeans are the exception to the rule though as they seem to be doing a sick number of FUE grafts in one session over two days.
  16. but going back to your original question which was Rahal vs Erdogan - I choose Erdogan
  17. "First, no HT doc can guarentee any result" - fair enough, but I think you know what I was getting at. "Second, I've seen Hasson and Rahal to me seems to be a bit better in terms of density" - agree to disagree, I have spend hours and hours looking at pictures from both and I swear that Hasson seems to be getting better density when he doesn't spread the grafts to the crown area. Take a look at cases where he left the crown area alone. Its all relative in terms of dense packing. When I consulted with both surgeons, Dr Hasson believed he could get 1,000 more grafts in one go than Rahal believed he could get via strip. They were going after the same coverage area, and because my preference was to leave the crown area alone, obviously Hasson's assessment was more dense packing due to the higher grafts. Your question was who will give you the greatest density. If Hasson can consistently get more grafts in a single session via strip, and you are specific that you prefer density over coverage, then I stand by my view that Hasson with get you better density than Rahal. As I said, we agree to disagree.
  18. Feriduni is the best in Belgium and Erdokan is the best in Turkey. Both are the best in Europe. I would consult with both, and research them like crazy. You can't gp wrong with either
  19. Rahal is better know for the hairlines than density, although he does still produce top quality results in terms of density. If you are only looking for max density, then eliminate Rahal
  20. I believe Erdogan can provide higher dense packing than Rahal, although its debatable if going for the max is more effective (i.e. more grafts fighting for blood supply). If you have the donor supply then why not go for the maximum and guarantee the result. Hasson is another surgeon effective at getting the max number of grafts and therefore should be able to provide the dense packing you want. At the end of the day, your starting point should be who can get you with the most number of grafts, and then how much dense packing they will provide. Obviously more grafts can get you the dense packing you want. I would therefore recommend Hasson for FUT and Erdogan for FUE
