  1. You won't regret it. The hardest bit is seeing the new hair, then it falling out during the shed. I would recommend you try some lipogaine minoxidil as well. I buzzed my hair to a 3 during the process, but i was about a norwood 3 anyway, lucky at 47... Keep taking pictures, every month, as it's the best way to assess progress. Basically, it will fall out in the next few weeks and you'll see nothing for months. This is a depressing stage, as you're left thinking "f..k, that was a waste of money".... Then, it starts growing back and you'll have a hairline again. It's a waiting game. I hope you get a great resutl.
  2. Sounds like the experience I had with him. Art Hotel is really nice. Take a trip to the market if it's on., Wroclaw is a lovely town. Keep us posted with your progress. I found witch hazel and aloe vera gel applied to the head, reduced redness very quickly. You'll get things taking shape in about four months. Stick with it. The shed is coming, it sucks, but time flies and it will soon be growing back. ...also, buzz your hair, that looks like Krusty The Clown....:D Take some anti inflammatories before the flight home. My head was swollen with the anaesthetic under my baseball cap and it was painful, as the anaesthetic moved down my forehead. You'll also be asked to take the cap off during airport security, but they're used to seeing HT's going through. The coolest thing, is seeing yourself with hair again in about six or seven months. It's priceless.
  3. It's a great experience. I had fue and it was painless. You're in good hands.
  4. You look like you're definitely getting regrowth. Try some Biotin and msm in there with your programme.and maybe a dermaroller to improve absorption of the minox.
  5. Fantastic result. How do you get that many grafts from one strip? Scalp laxity, or great donor density?
  6. Nice job man. Natural looking and really improves your face framing.
  7. I went back to light weights after five days, after my fue. No problems.
  8. Here's a ten month pic under normal room lighting. I think the individual hairs have perhaps thickened a bit, but the density is still sparse. Overall I'm happy compared to what it was like previously. At 48 I shouldn't really complain. continuing to use lipogaine minoxidil once a day. Under bright light it's very see through, but overall I'm happy enough with the cosmetic improvement. Not sure about a second procedure yet, but i'll not rule it out...
  9. Before calling your barber an idiot, did you actually specify the length you wanted it cut at the back, or say not to cut it short?
  10. I would buzz, rather than shave. Shaved is quite severe. A buzz is a bit more softening with the overall look of the head. Definitely decent bone structure and keep working out. If you can tolerate fin, give it and minoxidil a try. Maybe a HT at some point.
  11. Look where you came from mate. We are our own worst critics. I'm still thinking "this isn't very dense" after my HT. I then look at before pics and go "holy s....t, i can't believe how bald i looked"!! Hair greed is definitely real, but i think we need to sit back and appreciate the cosmetic improvement we have gained from the procedure.
  12. I think the best thing to do is contact the clinic for clarification.
  13. During an extraction, a single graft will contain 1-4 hairs. If this is counted as one graft, then that is counted as one unit. Some clinics will split these, or count the 4 hairs as one hair for the purpose of charging the client. You can clarify this with your clinic.
  14. No. Some charge "per graft", with each graft containing up to four hairs. Others charge "Per hair", which would put the price up significantly.
  15. I'm fully aware of the situation with medical tourism. I'd probably have more success picking up a cocktail stick with my butt cheeks, than our government or MP's actually doing anything about it....
  16. To suggest someone uses the NHS for "elective" surgeries, such as nose jobs and HTs is morally reprehensible.:mad::mad: Here's an idea.. why not work hard like the rest of us and pay for it yourself. Or, if it's a gastric band you're looking, eat less and exercise more. No money involved. The very idea my taxes are used to pay for boob jobs, gastric bands, gender changes, etc, while people have real needs, makes me want to vomit.
  17. Tried loads. Kirkland, Generics, Rogaine. Lipogaine is the best imo. You might get some improvement, but in my experience, for receding hairline, a transplant is the best option.
  18. Stick with it. The initial shed is horrendous, usually about 4 to 6 weeks into starting it.. Trust me, it will grow back stronger and thicker, if you are a responder to it. Don't stop at this stage.
