  1. By the sound of things, you're not going to be a good candidate for a hair transplant, unless you have a good supply of body hair or beard hair a surgeon could use. A hair system is a lot of hassle, and essentially "a wig".. You say your family have been used to seeing you bald for the last 13 years, so a full head of hair again is probably going to look strange to many. I think SMP could be a good half way house at your age. There are some great results on here, if you have a look at the section that covers SMP. You could perhaps get your eyebrows done with a body hair transplant as well as smp. You'll get a good shaved effect and facial framing with a hairline. Some pictures are usually helpful for people to give advice.. Good luck anyway, it sounds like you're at a bit of a mid life crisis point with things. I've been there...
  2. In what way? He seems to get good results and the clinic seems well run.
  3. This is really just the start of growth, but also the point where you start asking yourself, after waiting months, "have I wasted my money??..." You'll start seeing growth from now on, with probably a good improvement visually, at about 5-6 months. Looks completely normal at this stage. Hang in there!
  4. You have a fairly solid forelock and are on meds. I can't see how you're not a candidate for a conservative hairline restoration with fue. Hard to tell without seeing your donor area, but I would maybe try an in person consultation and evaluation for a procedure. Good luck.
  5. You may have a naturally high hairline, that could be maturing now from your teen years. I'd say at 21, I wouldn't be looking at having a hair transplant for at least until your late 20s, to see how it develops. What is your family history of baldness, with your parents/grand parents? This is usually, but not always, an indication of where you're heading..
  6. I doubt it's new growth at this stage. From my experience, your hair looks awful about a month post op and during the shed. There are a few hairs that hang in there and continue to grow. The next few months are the worst, but time flies and you should see some baby hairs growing at about month three, then you get bursts of growth. Keep taking monthly pictures to monitor your progress. It's just a waiting game now, but the hair will come when it's ready.
  7. I had sides after three weeks on it. Not good. Hair looking good man, this is shaping up to be a great result. Still early days.
  8. To be honest, I don't think you're going to see any radical improvement, but I could be wrong. It's good the clinic are offering to try and improve your result with another procedure. The post op density does not look good in the pictures. This again negates the argument that FUT gets better results than FUE every time and that each result is based on it's own merits, regardless of the method.
  9. Great improvement already and it's only just starting. I think you're going to get a great result.
  10. FIN - You'll either have side effects, or you won't... try it and see if it agrees with you, or not.
  11. http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/185314-1600-fue-dr-saifi-poland.html?highlight=saifi+1600 You can see how horrific it looks during the shed at post 29...
  12. Go for it, if you're more comfortable with it. Looks ok. You;ll find it's hard to work any style for a while, after the shed. Mine really did look terrible.
  13. Brushing forward is heading into comb over territory. Keep it short until the growth starts.
  14. Just to give you an idea of what's coming. This is a pic after about two weeks. ..then during the shed. The last one is eight months post op. So don't panic! !!
  15. Looks familiar. The shed is about to happen. Don't worry, that amazing new hairline is just another six months away. .. Unfortunately your hair is going to look a bit shit for a while but stick it out. .. It's all part of the process.
  16. You're self conscious, because you know you've had a procedure done. No one else notices. Trust me. I've had two people comment on my hair. The regrowth process is so slow, that if people are seeing you every day, it's not noticeable. If you're not coming out with it, just use the "pills and minoxidil" route, if anyone notices more hair.... My hair looked awful after my fue, but it's a temporary phase.
  17. The next few months are going to suck. You'll probably start seeing some growth (baby hairs) coming through around December, or possibly earlier. You may have the odd graft that doesn't shed and will continue to grow, rare, but some don't shed. The redness looks not bad at all. Time will fly by and you'll soon be getting growth. Just stick it out, as the shed and following months drag, you'll get the "that was a waste of money" gloom feeling. It's all part of it..... Keep taking pics every month to monitor your progress. I think you'll get a reasonable result. He seems to have bulked out the front and tapered the density to the rear. You'll definitely get a good cosmetic improvement, that will probably work well with some toppik fibres to build the density up.
  18. They are the skin on the ends of the grafts. These go crusty, then fall off after a week or so. Best way i found to remove them, was sponge your head in warm water and soap and gently rub with a sponge, until they come off. Unless you've seen blood when these came off, your grafts are probably fine. Two days is probably a bit soon to try and remove them.
  19. I regularly get my sides and back to a no 1 and its not visible after fue. The girl who cuts my hair can't see anything and there'll be no one up as close as your barber/hairdresser.
  20. Don't panic, the shed has started, mine started after about ten days and it sucks, but is part of the process.. Those lovely grafts are going to be gone soon and you'll go through the long wait until regrowth starts, in about 3 months or so. Stick it out. Try some witch hazel and aloe vera gel on the redness. To be honest, it doesn't look too bad at all. You're going to spend the next few months constantly looking in the mirror...:D Looking back, my hair looked far worse, just after the shed, than it did pre op.
  21. That looks far better. His work is really neat. in my opinion, he gets the hairline right when he draws it on. He is sensible in his design, working with your face shape, knowing it has to age with the patient. Looking forward to following your progress.
  22. Have you considered fue? No obvious linear scar. I have my sides and back at a 1 and no one has noticed.
