  1. Pictures are up in the first post Yeah this is true, i like that they said something about it first, because it means they are real about it and not just after money, and dont want to gamble their reputation. However in person is not really that possible from NZ.
  2. Hello all, I have fairly thin hair in general, male, 27 and have been using finasteride for 2 years and have had hairloss since around 18 sitting around a NW2.5ish. I have sent pictures to multiple places for my hair restoration plan and from what seems to be the most trusted place on this forum: ASMED clinic I received a reply (after about 2 months and 4 times of me emailing them asking for a reply to my pictures): "Sorry but your hair loss type is not available for operation as its miniaturization as female hair loss type. Please keep using medication to maintain it for future." I have emailed asking for a response as to what this means, but maybe people here can help? I've been researching for a while and almost went through with a clinic that i had booked without researching enough, but i've waited a bit longer and been researching for a year and a bit now, and no clinic has said anything like this? Does this mean other clinics just dont realize how bad my hair is for the photos? (ASMED asked for extra photos on top of what i sent to begin with) Now i'm super worried that its not fixable either. EDIT: After some more research the blow thing may be valid?? but i also have a high hairline always, but temple receding at the same area since 18 Chronic Telogen Effluvium
  3. Ahh yes, my hair is generally seen as fine, i usually have it colored, and it is naturally straight. Both doctors have the same picture and have recommended a similar amount of grafts. Dr Diep i had a skype consult with, and they sent me a detailed consult letter Whereas Dr. Umar, simply sent an email said its 2k to 2.5k and the cost, nothing else discussed. Thanks for The Link, Super good read! I realize now why my hair always looks so thin (Even before i was even 16) compared to other people's hair.
  4. I have inquired to both, They have both given similar recommendations, except Dr Diep doesnt charge extra for keeping the top of my hair long, and just shaving sides and donor, as my hair is below my shoulders long currently. Density was not mentioned much/if at all by either. Oo, and Dr, U, Uses Motorized FUE, VS Diep using Manual. - And i am swaying toward Manual. I am not sure what you mean about hair characteristics? What do you mean by this? Thanks for the Reply! P.S - To user BW77 I am not ignoring your PM, but for some reason when i click into my messages, the page goes to a blank page and i cannot reply. (I could only see the message via the email notification)
  5. Hi all, Been lurking for a while reading up on FUE, vs FUT, Different doctors around the world, as someone on this fourm put it the country i am from has a "third world HT syle" I have resigned myself to going to the US as I have found these two doctors of who i like their style and how it they create hairlines. I have been on Finasteride for around 10 months now and it seems to be helping, as my crown isnt thinning anymore, and my hairline dosent look to have moved recently, and my hair seems thicker (even though it was very thin to begin with my whole life) I have a norwood 2.5 with a naturally high hairline always, but with the temples receeding a fair way. I dont think i have not worn a hat in over 10 years since i was 16? As i was always told there is nothing that can be done up until this year when i finally told my doctor about it I am looking to lower my natural hairline and fill in the gaps. So these two doctors seem to have standout hairlines that they have done. Main question Diep Vs Umar? And if there are any other suggestions anyone has? Comments? Anything else i should consider other than cost between the two? What can i use to rule one out from the other because i feel they are both top of their field. Thanks!
