  1. Did Dr. Doganay create the recipient sites first? that's the most important aesthetic portion of the surgery that's what will give you the angle and direction of the follicle to make it look natural, I can't see tech's being allowed to do this, if so thats terrible.
  2. 2,500 may be to little for you I don't know, have you been examined by a hair restoration physician, hair characteristics skin to hair color contrast, and head size all play a role in how many grafts you'll need, just because 2,500 grafts may be to small for someone doesn't necessarily mean its not enough for everyone. Generally though 2,500 grafts should be enough to cover the hairline to midscalp, Dr. Konoir's result was legit because he did not use favorable lighting and he also did a topview shot which really shows you what the results are and his patient was almost completely bald. Here's Dr. Rahal's 2,500 grafts to the front to midscalp again this patient is even balder than Dr. Dieps patient was, so I don't see how you think Dr. Dieps results are unbelievable. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VXnYXMBYtVk
  3. Why did nurses perform the extractions? And why did differrent technicians perform swooping's as opposed to paleo? Also, did the technicians implant the hair with the choi implanter? Overall these are the most concerning things as potential patients the community needs consistency, and from what's been presented by paleo and swooping it does not seem consistent.
  4. I think you're hung up on something petty, he probably meant to say midscalp I don't know what doctors results you've been seeing but 2,500 grafts to the front third and midscalp with good yield should give good density, remember the graft count doesn't matter, what matters is the yield i.e growth of the grafts, nothing out of the ordinary at all, is there any agenda against Dr. Diep? Here's Dr. Konoir result 2,500 grafts to the front and midscalp, notice this guy was almost completely bald, now look at the density and coverage he got. Again I don't know who's before and after a you've been looking at but nothing screamed too good to be true about Dr. Dieps results. 2500 Grafts by Dr. Konior - Hair Loss Surgery - Before and After Gallery
  5. I'm gutted for you bro, this is absolutely unacceptable, 6,500 grafts should've given you good density in the front and some coverage in the back, I will say though that it's an improvement to how you were before, but this doctor wasted about 5,000 grafts which is unacceptable. Who performed the surgery techs or the doctor? Were they different techs each day?
  6. What a load of bull, if the doctor didn't think your hairloss was stable why would he operate? I've been on minoxidil has two transplants and so far so good, sure finasteride may work better, but minoxidil is a proven treatment that's why it's FDA approved.
  7. What seems suspicious is that all of the sudden these accounts are created and literally the first post are on this thread in defense of a doctor or to highlight the doctors results, doesn't that seem strange? Swooping who is a legit patient already created a thread highlighting his results, he's been inquisitive but not defensive, he also has his own thread he didn't create an account to post his results on someone else's thread, in light of the recent discoveries this is odd to say the least. It's disheartening I had actually considered this clinic at the top of my list in FUE, what's more sad is that I still believe the doctor is good, but something along the way completely fell off, the exchange for quantity over quality seems apparent. Unfortunately, in this business quality is everything, when you're dealing with finite grafts it's imperative you get it right the first time. Keeping a skilled team is also important, but if different technicians are being used every surgery where is the consistency? These are things that should be demanded of a hair restoration clinic that is recommended on this site.
  8. The dude07 for someone who went to college in the U.S your writing in English is poor, "but I want him to be my doctor" if you're speaking past tense it should be *wanted, all in all this post smells like 3 day old fish left in the sun it continues to look worse for the clinic.
  9. That is the smart way to address hair restoration in young guys, at 23 hed almost certainly headed for Norwood 6 by 30, those 2,500 grafts will allow him to style his hair still when he's 30 and look good.
  10. Hair transplants no matter how good will some way be detectable to other guys who've had work done, I have a coworker that I noticed an indentation in his hair like he was wearing a hat, when I looked close I could see the scar of a strip surgery underneath his hair, but I wouldn't say that's detectable to the average person if I told other coworkers they probably wouldn't believe me, you're looking at things from a skewed perspective, you think that your everyday person will look or pay close attention to your hair than you're wrong, the only people who pay close attention are other men who are balding themselves. I can look at a 20 year old kid with a full head of hair and pretty much tell whether he's going to lose his hair or not, the slightest change in diameter at the hairline I pick up on, but that's me, the majority of the population don't give a crap, it's only people like the ones on this board who analyze and pick apart hairlines and crowns etc. My main point was that a Norwood 6 can get a transplant and place the grafts in a way that would make them still look like they're losing their hair just not completely bald prime example was Dr. Bhatti. The people I've seen who are Norwood 6 like Sam B on YouTube and Dr. Bhatti don't look bad, you didn't even know Dr. Bhatti had a transplant that says it all.I've yet to see a high Norwood go to a reputable surgeon and end up with a ridiculous obvious transplant, its actually hard to find examples cause the majority of Norwood 6 guys get convinced that it's hopeless, but it's not. I'll give you an analogy, ok I workout 5 times a week I maintain 10% body fat year round sometimes less in the summer, maybe up to 12% if I'm bulking, now my definition of someone in shape is someone shredded to the bone 6% body fat, would it make sense for me to go up to an obese person and say "listen buddy you're never gonna be 6% body fat so just give up accept being obese cause it's pointless" then the obese person might reply "that's not my goal, I simply want to lose weight and not be obese, I'm not looking to have veins on my abs" does that make sense? I feel like you're looking at it from your perspective which is very one way, but I can see where your coming from cause I think the same way about fitness, but that's not the way everyone thinks or feels everyone's goals and expectations are different.
  11. Man I thought the same thing for someone who's supposedly interested in FUE, the majority of his posts are always something negative toward FUE, one would think that you'd just choose FUT. I know he surfaced around the same time the FUT and FUE thread was around Definitely suspect.
  12. I really can't see how the clinic can excuse that type of inconsistency, it appears that Dr. Doganay is more than capable of doing a good job as shown by swoopings result, but allowing young nurses to basically perform the whole surgery shows a total lack of quality control and is absolutely wreckless, especially when dealing with finite grafts that need to be utilized. If in 6 months the situation doesn't improve it should be the nail in the coffin for this clinic.
  13. I don't think women or men laugh at bald men behind their back, if they do I certainly don't think they're the type of people anyone would want in their lives. But I think you're meaning people who've had really botched hair transplants, and I for one feel sorry for them, but I don't think that the majority of Norwood 6 men who go to good surgeons will end up looking like this, unless they try and get too aggressive with the hairline. Overall, I think the key is confidence, at this moment even though by your standards I'm still bald, I have a lot more confidence because i can at least style my hair and conceal my hair loss somewhat, and I think that's what everyone is seeking to achieve which is confidence. Even if you end up with a bald crown, that's not a bad look especially once you get older, 38 that's still relatively young, so I understand where you're coming from, at this moment it would not look good, but it's a look you can definitely grow in to as you age. I also think just sprinkling the crown with some grafts is enough so that you could at least use toppik and conceal it. Dr. Bhatti has had two hair transplants as far im aware, one strip and one FUE, I also believe that he'd be a norwood 6 if not for the transplants. Don't you think that look is better than being like Dr. Phil? It's hard for someone with minimal hair loss to relate because you probably have the expectation of looking like you're not bald at all, but trust me when I say this, the more hair you lose, the happier you are with less hair. As you can see from the pic Dr. Bhatti is quite advanced in his hairloss, but now he looks good in my opinion.
  14. Nah most definitely not, 2,500 grafts is the standard the front third of the scalp, if you look at the pics you see the doctor drew where the grafts were being placed which was only the front third, also the patient still had hair, he wasn't completely bald, i had 1,800 grafts in a similar size area and got good results and I was a lot balder. The results look legit, I'm sure you can go on his YouTube channel and view the video. It could be the pictures were taken with flash which will make the hair look denser, but not photoshop it's nothing incredible for the grafts used and area that was covered.
  15. I have to disagree with you shadow, that's your personal opinion and what you deem cosmetically acceptable may be different from what others may deem acceptable, I don't know your age or level of baldness, but I for one am a high Norwood at a relatively young age, I think a Norwood 6 can achieve a good result so long as he accepts the fact that he'll never have a full head of hair, now this may be unacceptable to you, but for me it's not, I'm totally fine with having a thin crown, I think having a framed face is important as I get older a thin crown will be less and less of an issue. Sure a 30 year old guy with a thin crown may not look good right now, but what about when im 50 or 60, I think looking at Dr. Bhatti himself is a good example of someone who has some balding but definitely does not look unnatural, to me that is an attainable look by a Norwood 6 with careful planning. The most important aspect when assessing someone for hair restoration is their level of baldness, donor capacity and most importantly expectations. I've come to terms with never having a full head of hair, I just don't want to be completely bald id rather have the look of Dr. Bhatti than Dr. Phil but that's just my opinion.
  16. Body hair as a standalone does not produce good aesthetic results just like SMP. However, when combined with traditional hair restoration i.e scalp grafts I think both procedures add to the procedure, I think I will have BHT and smp to add overall density at some point. I view them as just another weapon to keep in my Arsenal.
  17. I can almost assure everyone that the doctor will say he did the extractions, I can not provide proof he didn't cause as I said I was not conscious for most of the procedure, but when I was techs were doing the extractions, as for the techs being good, I'm sure they are otherwise the doctor wouldn't be getting good results, and as I said I'm hoping I'll get a good result and I'm fairly certain I will just based on how things look now at 3.5 months at least I hope, but results do not negate post op care and overall bedside manner which is severely lacking at this clinic. The few times I called the clinic with questions I never spoke with the Doctor himself, mind you I'm not your typical patient, I've had a procedure before and researched hair restoration for years before deciding to get surgery, so I pretty much know what to expect, but I can't imagine those first time patients who have little to no knowledge on hair restoration. I must say though my consult did not feel rushed and I actually spent quite a while discussing future hairloss and expectations with the Doctor, I would've most certainly never booked a procedure if I would've felt rushed in anyway, the physician assured me he did the extractions, I do trust he has good artistry especially in hairlines, but there were many things that fell short of my expectations especially from how my consult went, these issues definitely need to be discussed with the clinic, just because your results are good doesn't cancel out every other facet of patient care and a clear definition of what the clinic means by " dr performs surgery himself" if by that they mean designs the hairline and creates the recipient sites and maybe does some extractions, than that needs to be clear from the beginning.
  18. Well I'm 30 years old so I guess I'm not that old but not that young either, I can 100% say if I were dealing with the level of baldness I have at age 30 it would be 10000x worse if I were 20, a lot of my peers are in the beginning stages of hairloss maybe also some guys I know have begun to go grey, so I don't feel as bad about going bald, I mean it sucks but if I were 20 it would be so much worse, so I put myself in their shoes and I have to agree with them, if I were very bald at 20, I would 100% get a procedure done, either way planning is crucial and using your grafts wisely should allow your procedure to withstand the test of time, meaning as you continue to lose hair it should look natural and that's the key, like I said if I were 20 I would rather have hair and go bald at my age which is 30. Generally, it's older man who say it's bad who may have never experienced going bald at a young age so it's understandable, I'm not trying to take away from their own personal dilemma with balding, I'm just saying social stigma and acceptance from your peers and opposit sex goes up every decade, so essentially at 30 it's more acceptable to be bald than 20, at 40 it's viewed even better than 30, 50 it's more acceptable than 40, and at 60 it's generally accepted by all as a normal aging process. I think what you're referring to is young men who do not use their grafts wisely and don't plan for future hairloss, those are generally the guys who end up looking unnatural in the future, but if you're on hairloss medication, you plan for future hairloss, you use your grafts wisely there should be no reason why a young man should not get a procedure. As more hair is loss it should look natural like he is losing his hair, I still maintain my original point that I would rather go bald at 50 and have hair age 20, than be bald in my 20's 30's and 40's and get a procedure when I'm 50. To me that's nonsensical.
  19. This pretty much summed up my experience, I had to wait an hour before my procedure started cause the doctor was with other patients, when the procedure was done, the doctor didn't even check on me or see me, I waited for a few minutes in the lobby cause I wanted to ask some questions but then I just left. Like I said, the results I hope will be good, but overall the experience was not good, I wouldn't go back even if I have the most killer hairline. My previous surgeon was a true gentlemen even e-mailed me a few days ago to check up on me and its been 18 months.
  20. I agree 100% waiting until your 40-50 sounds ridiculous, 20's are the most important years in a young mans life why on earth would you want to spend it bald, id rather have hair in my 20's and 30's and bald in my 50's than vice versa.
  21. Looks like folliculitis you need to see a dermatologist, the clinic should be taking full responsibility, they need to pay for what they've done, word needs to be spread, Yelp, every hairloss forum that exists, literally their lack of care is disgusting. You need to file a complaint with colorados attorney general it's Cynthia Coffman for Colorado NAAG | Who's My AG?
  22. Of course I did, he told me he did the extraction and designed the hairline, he did do the hairline, how much of the extractions I don't know I was knocked out, when I was awake it was techs, but I may still get a good result, I'm on track so far my hair growth is good for 3.5 months, but nevertheless techs did some extractions for sure which was not advised by him prior to having surgery.
  23. nope its true, that doesn't necessarily mean I'll have a bad result though, im only 3.5 months post op, I have started seeing some growth, but I just want to clarify that Dr. Diep does use technicians and in my case, I dont know how much they did vs how much he did, cause I was knocked out most of the procedure but I do know that the time I was conscious they were present. I'm hopeful but im documenting everything and taking pictures daily. Overall my experience was not a good one, it felt rushed, bedside manner was not good, I can't say id recommend him even if my results are fantastic.
  24. I disagree shadow, although you're right, most guys who start to see hair loss at 21 or 22 most likely will be high norwoods by their 30's however, that doesn't necessarily discount them from getting a surgery as long as they have realistic expectations and they're being proactive about stabilizing their hair loss, I had a friend who had a hair transplant in 2006 when he was 21 years old, fast forward now hes 30 and he hasn't lost anymore hair, he had hair in the most important years of his life, only time will tell if the transplant holds up another 10 years, but at that point he'll be 40 years old, and although I understand balding at any age sucks, the social stigma is not the same period. So by the time he's 40 and if he starts to bald again, it will be socially acceptable and the majority of his peers will start balding as well, when considering hair restoration you not only have to look at the results aspect and the longevity of the procedure, but the psychology behind it, being bald in your 20's is utterly devestating I don't care what any 50 year old man says, balding at that age is WAAYYYY worse and if they experienced balding at age 20 they would've been way worse as well, so in my opinion being a guy who has had a procedure at age 29, I would rather enjoy my 30's with hair and if I bald down the line, I will not like it, but I will be more accepting of it.
