  1. Can you share your pictures? 5,000 sounds like a lot in one shot. Very few have the donor capacity for so many grafts at once. Please include donor pictures.
  2. Since the crown is your goal. It might be a better option to try smp.
  3. You may want to look at @mustang as well who had beard hair placed in his donor. Generally, BHT on its own isn't the best donor source, but if you're using it for one small area in the donor it may be okay.
  4. That's true, but you have some slight thinning in the crown which hasn't been touched. Would be good to track your crown.
  5. Everything is looking great. You should start a separate Xyon thread. I've been on it two weeks now. So far, I don't have any sides.
  6. I know the case you're referring too, that is one case. I would reach out to multiple patients to hear their experiences.
  7. Every doctor will have unhappy patients. I think Hasson and Wong are excellent surgeons with a long track record of producing top notch results. Dr. Nadimi is an excellent doctor as well. I suggest looking at our full list of recommended surgeons and using that as a starting point for research. https://hairtransplantnetwork.com/best-hair-transplant-surgeons
  8. To me these temples look very similar in shape. The difference in my opinion is the hair length, If the top patient had longer hair it would look very similar to the bottom picture. FUE3661 has temples that are angled a bit more perpendicular. It's all subjective, some may prefer the sharper triangular peaks like Brad Pitt, which frame his face differently. In the end, its best to show your surgeon your hair before you went bald and stick to what was natural to you.
  9. Square temples are mostly seen in afro patients. If you’re Caucasian trying to get square temples it’s not going to look natural . Different ethnicities exhibit different hairlines and temples. That’s why afro hair is a specialty. Afro hairline and temples. You see afro temple points go laterally downward. The hairline is usually 1-2 cm lower. Caucasian hairline and temples. The temple’s come outward and the hairline is naturally higher. The same goes for females. Caucasian females have naturally higher hairlines as well. It doesn’t look good when a Caucasian gets a hairline that’s for an afro haired patient. It looks unnatural. Always stick with what is natural to you.
  10. Whats your age? Are you on medication? And what your expectations. Currently, your hair loss isn’t that bad, you have a large crown. But the actual hairline and midscalp is fairly intact. If you’re not on medication I would start there. I was much balder than you, my journey has taken me 10 years+tens of thousands of dollars. But that may not be the case with you.
  11. I don’t see anything alarming. Shock loss happens, even if you get a small number grafts. This video might help
  12. Thanks I was considering reaching out to either Dr. Gabel or Dr. Mohebi regarding SMP. I was on the fence, but this has definitely helped out.
  13. Do video consultations with each of them. Ask to speak to past patients, then narrow down by your goals and objectives.
  14. I suggest doing your own research, here's our full list of recommendations. Use our list as a staring point for research https://hairtransplantnetwork.com/best-hair-transplant-surgeons
  15. I believe the collagen issues were found with the topical. You're on oral minoxidil.
  16. Yea I actually no longer use dermmatch. I barely use fibers in the crown. But I have considered smp. Maybe I'll give it a shot. I figure it doesn't hurt to try.
  17. Yea I’m hoping that the Xyon can strengthen this zone without surgery. But if not I may consider another procedure here. As for shaving my head. Some people say it looks good. I personally don’t like it. It only looks okay for a few days. Then it starts to look off because my density is lower and you can see the horse shoe pattern.
  18. @Fue3361 He went to Dr. Thiago in Brazil. As for your question, temple peaks in general are triangular. Of course, there are variations in nature. Just like some people are born with widow peaks, but the majority don’t have one. Design is something you can discuss with your surgeon. For me, my temples were triangular before going bald. Excuse the quality, this is a 20 year old picture. So keeping the shape that was natural for my face was important.
  19. Get the refund and move on. Take this as a learning experience. Getting a hair transplant is extremely stressful, so perhaps you let anxiety and stress get the best of you. At this point, who’s right or wrong is irrelevant. Best thing to do is move on, think about whether or not you really want an HT and move forward. Remember doing nothing is never a bad thing.
  20. 100% he should have been rejected. Dr. Sethi pushes himself and prides himself on taking the toughest cases that no one else will take. But some times the best option is to do nothing. Tony is such a great guy and I want the best for him. It’s an unfortunate situation. Tony were rooting for you, hit me up if you need any help or additional resources.
