  1. Dr. Mwamba’s work looks impeccable. Did you have a previous username here? I recall someone else that had an issue back in the 2018 with this same doctor.
  2. You have to reach 10 posts before you can edit and send private messages. I have removed that quoted comment. You can repost it.
  3. I wouldn’t be too concerned about what people say on Reddit. Until the grafts shed it’s difficult to say, it’s bloody, so of course it could look shocking. You have a lot of native hair in the midscalp so density should be lower. I suggest tracking your progress here. Try not to stress at this point, it’s impossible to say how it will end up. Heres a good example
  4. Sorry I missed that, well I would definitely add Hasson and Wong, Dr. Cooley to your list. There’s no best surgeon, but there are best for your situation. I think in North America H&W have the most high Norwood cases. I suggest using our list of recommendations as a starting point for research. https://hairtransplantnetwork.com/best-hair-transplant-surgeons
  5. Where do you live? Perhaps we can make some closer suggestions. I understand how difficult it is to travel with a little one. That said, it doesn’t take many days. You could leave for 5 days and come back. I don’t know if you have inlaws that could help your spouse with the baby.
  6. The frizziness should subside. I’m sorry to hear you’re not satisfied. I don’t think much will change at this point, except the texture of your hair. What areas are your main concern? It’s hard to tell from the pictures.
  7. I would try to do a search of their names on our search page and reach out to their patients.
  8. Honestly you don’t need to do anything, your hair looks fantastic. It’s clear that you’ve stabilized your hair loss. But honestly it looks great already.
  9. It’s hard to say with post-op pictures. Usually a week once the scabs come off you’ll have a better idea.
  10. I made a fade video, but never one about blending into the crown. I do think a good barber could blend it though. @general-etwan Let me know if you need any help. It's not a terrible job. I've been cutting my hair now for a few years, keep trying, you will get better.
  11. Hmm, maybe I should film a tutorial. I think you went up too high. You should stop right here. Once the crown is grown out a bit you could blend into #2. Keep the bottom a zero middle a #1. I wouldn’t recommend going so short, because you have to blend the demarcation line so it fades gradually into where its thicker. Here’s how I did it. The bottom portion was very thin. But blended it wasn’t as visible. This was years ago before I had any grafts placed in my crown.
  12. I’ll start by saying it doesn’t look horrible from afar. I think he can camouflage the poor work with success. I’m sure they used their best team on him too, take that how you will. The issues with his hairline are as follows: No micro-irregularities A visible gap in density Multiples in hairline Pitting He did a good job of showing his hairline in a way that made it difficult to spot, but when he did a semi-close-up you could clearly see all of the issues above. Bret, if you see this. I’m not saying this to disparage you. In time, I think you may want to pay to get these issues fixed. Also, at your age seriously reconsider medication. There’s topical finasteride and dutasteride if you’re worried of side effects. Multiples Pitting
  13. Dr. Pinto is an excellent surgeon. Unfortunately, with his current structure it's very difficult to get a consultation and surgery. His skill is undeniable.
  14. The lower crown is tricky. I also agreed not to address it to see how medication would improve it. It’s too soon to tell for me, but there’s a possibility I may need to address it as well. But I also agree with @Berba11 you have a lot of hair, although miniaturized, it’s a lot. Surgery may be tricky. Shock loss may be brutal. Have you tried growing your hair out? I bet grown out the difference is negligible. Also, fading into the thin areas would camouflage any disparity. Watch this video A good fade and blend can get rid of that lower problem area.
  15. Trust in the process. Make sure you prepare yourself for the ugly duckling phase. Remember, you could look worse before you look better. Never compare yourself to others. You’re an individual. Therefore, your growth may start at a different time. Talking to patients really helps go through the process. I suggest starting a journey thread when you get it done.
  16. Use the search function. I know @_lshy shared a recent experience.
  17. Can you share your pictures? 5,000 sounds like a lot in one shot. Very few have the donor capacity for so many grafts at once. Please include donor pictures.
  18. Since the crown is your goal. It might be a better option to try smp.
  19. You may want to look at @mustang as well who had beard hair placed in his donor. Generally, BHT on its own isn't the best donor source, but if you're using it for one small area in the donor it may be okay.
