  1. mine looked kind of like what you're saying.. i had tiny red dots.. people in this community said that it looked like a "clean job". I was happy with the results.. see pic I attached.. are your red dots similar?
  2. Happy for you! When Dr. Parsa Mohebi transformed me from a baldy to a handsome dude with style-able hair... man, my life changed.. more women, more confidence in business and more income... I hope this procedure does the same for you.. that your lifestyle changes... use your new super powers for good!
  3. very nice! a good transplant is life-changing. I am sure your patients are very happy. Take it from me, when Dr Parsa Mohebi turned me from a bald nerdy guy to a handsome dude with good hair, my lifestyle changed for the WAY better. Keep up the good work!! Thanks
  4. Personally, I don't like where this is headed... I wish there was a way for the community to control this, or make it difficult from becoming standard practice. Good thread.
  5. This is great.. makes me so happy to see such great results! I'm sure you're stoked... styling your badass hair every morning. Cheers buddy!
  6. i had to copy this information from another site because it had sprinkles of information that you can manipulate to the benefit of your current situation, which is what I would do if I were in your shoes. Good luck man! ----- 1: personally I think laser combs are outdated. I've got few tips for you, I'll just list my hair regrowth regime: 5% minoxidil (regaine) twice daily resveramix tablets twice daily (resveratrol antioxidant) powerful dht blocker...trust me saw palmetto 500mg twice daily vlasyproject 54 laser unit 20minutes daily that's it... I have short hair aprox. 0.5cm long all the time so i have plenty of exposure to the scalp for the laser to work. I keep my hair at about 80-90% all the time. regrowth is nothing new for me. the combs are designed for longer hair but they simply don't have enough power! the more diodes, the better. the vlasyproject laser unit was the most affordable thing i could find for the most diodes... it has 54 diodes which is way more than any other comb I've ever seen lol. unfortunately hair loss treatments aren't advanced enough to have long hair and regrowth without surgical methods. but if you're ok with short hair do what i do. hope this gave some insight ---- 2:Guys, i am not going to name names, but I recently had a transplant with one of the highly revered docs here in nyc. Very happy with results. He does believe there is some merit to lasers. Not to expect major growth, but mostly to help with thicker growth of existing. In order recommended: fen/minox and then laser. But her does believe that he has seen enough data to support this.
  7. not much blood loss for losing grafts..Sounds like u are doing FUE. The scarier question is how much blood comes out when you remove that eel shaped skin in FUT? I saw the skin, but I saw no blood. Mohebi did a very clean job. I don't like seeing blood and it was totally a clean non-scary surgery that at the end of the day I had no complaints about.. in fact, I can say I had a fun day, especially with how they treated me with food and sodas and movies haha.. With the good docs, don't worry about the blood and stuff.. they are professionals.
  8. so, maybe you should look into the laser hair comb since you are running out of FDA approved options. Just so you know, when I went to the ISHRS conference in OCT 2013 as a Live Patient for Dr Mohebi, I chatted up many of the hair surgeons, as they were analyzing my restored hair.. they all told to me to keep taking finasteride. some told me the minox doesn't matter so much (after a HT). and only 1 person insisted that I use the LaserComb. I couldn't believe a doctor was recomending that to me and I brushed it off. But in your case, since you are running out of options, I would actually try the laser comb.. who knows, it may actually be of benefit to you. Try it!
  9. I'd say between 2000-2500. And I also think the meds can work for a while for you. I had a similar trajectory (NW6A) after HT I went on Minox and Finasteride.. still going strong on them.,
  10. there may be a way to search for patients of Dr Demirsoy on this site. Then you can message them individually, if this thread doesn't work out.
  11. Have you considered Dr. Mohebi? I went to his clinic a few weeks ago to see some crown work of prior patients (I am planning to get FUT crown work done in the next year or so) and I thought his patients AFTER crowns looked great. I'd be interested in your thoughts.
  12. I like hearing when doctors put themselves in the shoes of a patient when giving advice. Kudos! Dr. Mohebi does that for me whenever I go back for more work, and it brings me back to Earth again.. he has recommended for me not to bring my hair line lower (it is the mature hairline he restored years ago). Anyway, I would also suggest shaving initially and see how you and your fiance feel about it. If it works for you, it is by far the easiest solution to this hair loss problem (no multiple HT's, no rogaine, no propecia, no anxiety). If it is not for you, you can always talk to another doctor as it is good to get second opinions. but overall, i liked your first doctor's advice very much. kudos to him.
  13. Absolutely.. Hair thickness (along, with factors such as waviness, color) are used by a physician to determine how to economically graft the hairs to cover the thinning/bald region. Check out my blog about that: Hair Restoration Social Network - Hair Loss Patient Blogs
  14. haha.. good one! I feel the cigs are negligible forces in hair loss.. the beers/alcohol would mainly be a concern due to mixing with the meds.. disclaimer:i'm not a doctor, nor do I play one on TV..
  15. I have to side with Spanker.. though I don't smoke, it doesn't seem like it would be that great of an impact. There are far greater forces involved in causing your hair loss. Its probably as bad as having several cups of coffee, imo.
  16. If you are in California I would definitely recommend consulting with my surgeon, Dr. Parsa Mohebi. His work changed my life.. I got FUT with him. And I plan on eventually going back for a 2nd procedure at some point in the future. Check out my photos to see the difference his work has made on me. You are at the right place, to do research and find the best docs. Let me know if you have questions and please keep us updated. Good luck!
  17. Looks clean. The next few months will be exciting, as the new hairs start coming in. Congratulations on the HT!
  18. Thanks for the interesting info, Blake. Yes, adding growth factors seems to taint the study, imo.
  19. I personally started minox about 10 days after my HT. I started Finasteride the same week (roughly a day or so after HT) supplements can be started at anytime.
  20. congrats man! make sure to come back and update us on your progress!
