  1. It's just a neutral shampoo. Any good baby shampoo will do.
  2. Am I the only one to notice an asymmetrical hairline, unnatural angles in hairline and temple points, and a bit strange recipient graft distribution? Not to mention that the hairline design looks unbalanced, with very strong temple peaks vs. high forelock? Please don't get me wrong, this just feels a bit like the Emperor's New Clothes...
  3. Interesting. I am apprehensive about using toppik on the crown for the simple reason I can't see it and other people (e.g., behind me in a line) can. An idea that I might sweat or have a rain drop or something mess it up makes me feel quite uncomfortable. It's different with the top because other people can't really have a close look and I can check it in the mirror from time to time.
  4. Skilled technicians can also perform a decent FUE work. I don't know the clinics you mention, but I went with one in the similar range (Dr. Maral) and I am very satisfied. Unless the agency is helping you with something specific, I'd say drop them and contact the clinics directly. Of course make sure to learn enough about the clinic first.
  5. I don't know the guy, but this is a good place to check. I suggest you open a new topic in some of the popular folders so that you can get input from more people faster. Also, a quick forum search (find the button at the heading of this page) might bring you some results. Good luck!
  6. Turkey is not too far from India, and they have many great affordable FUE doctors. Also, I would at least ask for a second opinion about FUT from some of the leading clinics.
  7. I agree with everything said. Users who represent doctors and duly state it in their signatures are completely OK and I am grateful for the info they provide to the community. The forum is pretty transparent in the way it functions and I don't see any problem with recommendation system. Other users like myself share their experiences out of solidarity to other users and gratitude to their doctors, because I also leaned on other people's experiences when booking my HT. My only objection is that HTN recommendations may create an illusion of standard where in reality there is a scale. Not everyone recommended is Dr. Lorenzo, Dr. Bisanga or Dr. Hasson & Wong. Specifically (incited by the llvlludassar's case) I looked at Dr. Mohmand Humayun's work, and I can't see why on earth is he recommended here. But it has nothing to do with representatives. Either way, like in real life--you need to open your eyes and look around you....
  8. I don't want to sound harsh, but there may be an issue. Wait and see how it heals, perhaps avoiding to pull the hairs during the first months might help.
  9. Looks great! Yeah, white crusts are no biggie. Happy healing & growing
  10. Wow, that's a lot of swelling. Are you taking all the medication? Either way, it should be gone after 2-3 days tops. Why are there so many blood stains on your top? Have you hurt your head? Glad that your sleep is improving. The density and hairline look really promising!
  11. Bleeding from the donor is expected, but if you see blood on the recipient area that is a reason for alarm because it usually means a graft has fallen out. Yes, I also had swollen forehead on days 3-5, corticosteroids prevented it from going really bad but keeping some ice also helped a lot. As for the sleeping, perhaps you should avoid taking sleeping pills to prevent your body from relaxing too much and inadvertently hurting the grafts. Just roll a pillow under your head and lie on your back so that your neck is completely bent forward and your chin almost touches your chest. It is surprisingly less uncomfortable than it sounds, and the next morning you'll wake up in exactly the same position
  12. Welcome! Looks like a strong donor... Look at some of the recommended physicians on this site, or consider some of the cheaper, but very good Turkish clinics (Maral, Estepera, Demirsoy, and there's more). Whatever you do, think it through very carefully and do a lot of research. Explore all the options (micropigmentation, concealers etc.) before you decide to get a HT. This forum is an excellent place to start.
  13. Congratulations! Looks very promising. Welcome to the hat club A little bleeding from the donor area in the first few days is normal. Good luck, and happy growing!
  14. Do a quick search on this forum. I had a HT in his clinic last year, the experience was great and everything seems fine so far (6 months). Follow the link in my signature. Good luck!
  15. Thanks! I hope to get to his density some day but yes, when I make it like that it looks much denser, if a little messy. So many hours ahead of me to experiment in front of the mirror...
  16. I remember my dad talking about a neighbor of ours who used to put makeup in his hair. People always know but they'll never tell you... As for training, actually I agree that FUE technique has more to do with skill and practice than with medical knowledge. That said, I still don't think I would ever let darkmanhyk perform one on me
  17. I used to apply some hydrating cream, and it helped a lot. In the beginning it did seem that I lost a lot of hair from the donor area (in addition to the harvested grafts) but they grew back soon after.
  18. Don't worry, we all got through this. Mine was also red and sore during the first month.
