2200 fue Dr Reddy 16/3/19 how’s it look ?
superdudeo replied to Deanomag's topic in Hair Transplant Reviews
Hi Deanomag, Looks like a great result. I was close to booking with Dr Reddy at that clinic. The woman who runs it completely put me off though. Really rude and it seems from online reviews she is the weak link there. Couple of questions. Is Dr Reddy still quoting on number of hairs rather than grafts? How did you find the consultation with Dr Reddy? There were no measurements whatsoever when I had mine. -
Advice on finding a UK surgeon.
superdudeo replied to PepsiLoving's topic in Hair Restoration Questions and Answers
I am also looking for someone in the UK but have a consultation with Bisanga in London this weekend. I was going to go with Reddy but got a really rude reply from his PA when I questioned the pricing structure. I told the doctor directly but never got a reply so they lost my business. Shame. -
Considering hair transplant Dr. Binsanga
superdudeo replied to NTCP8's topic in Hair Restoration Questions and Answers
I had that pain as well. Don't let anyone tell you to continue on fin...it's a personal decision and your body is telling you it doesn't like it. I'm still not the same two years after taking a very small dose. -
I'm looking for a transplant surgeon!
superdudeo replied to Alvez11's topic in Hair Restoration Questions and Answers
Just taking a very small initial dose of finasteride sent me into a anxiety episode which lasted a few weeks. I'd be be careful making medical diagnosis without consulting a trained professional. -
FUE/FUT Norwood 5

Probably best to have a few consultations with some good doctors. You might not even be suitable for FUT until they can inspect your scalp etc. -

For this reason alone he shouldn't be recommended in my opinion -
Dissapointing results from Resul Yaman 11 month post op

Why is this guy still recommended on here? In the main, he seems ok but he's dropped the ball too many times in my opinion and I don't think we should be holding him up as someone to recommend. -
Dr Resul Yaman - 4300 Grafts - October 2017
superdudeo replied to DreadPirateRoberts's topic in Hair Transplant Reviews
If you think this forum is people jerking each other off, I've got news for you. I won't continue the discussion as the OP has stated his desire not to turn this into something else. I will say the work and hair line design is excellent. I do have an issue with these mega FUE sessions though and their likely impact on patient in the long term and I don't think they should be held up to newcomers as a shining example. -

Firstly, you've had about 2200 grafts so of course it will be fine right now. My concern is that they are misleading you by saying you have a further 4000 available. I suggest you research FUE surgeries to see what is possible. Over 6000 grafts from FUE is almost unheard of from ethical FUE surgeons but you don't sound like you really care. I'm just stating this if any newcomers see this as an example and think its normal. -
Dr Resul Yaman - 4300 Grafts - October 2017
superdudeo replied to DreadPirateRoberts's topic in Hair Transplant Reviews
You'll have to explain how I'm being presumptuous, I don't see how I am. I think - on a public platform - its important to show a sense of what is normal and achievable with HT's. There are lots of new people coming here to get an impression of what can be achieved. I have to ask, would any of the top top FUE surgeons give a hairline that aggressive on a person with your characteristics and I have to say that I most definitely don't think they would. There are too many long term implications that don't make this an ethical choice for the patient. -

I think there are bigger issues than you're imagining. When you start thinning out on top and in the crown when you're older, it will look really unnatural to still have hair at the front like that. I do agree that this hairline is too aggressive, not a lot of thought has gone into the long term which the surgeon should be guiding you on. -

Sorry dude, there's absolutely no way you have another 3 to 4000 grafts after already having 3000 grafts. You are most likely at your maximum already, if not close. -
He can get more money from abroad, not hard to work out.

I was close to booking Dr Demirsoy. I believe he is a great surgeon, I shortlisted him from a few other turkish doctors. He is ethical and responsible so definitely consider him.

So who would you recommend?

Overbearing censorship
superdudeo replied to hsrp11-uncensored's topic in Hair Restoration Questions and Answers
I personally think you should make some sort of apology to the Medikemos rep myself. I think they had every right to ask you to back any statements up and I didn't think they were being aggressive at all. If you're going to slur the clinic, then they have a right of reply. Also thinking you're an 'authority' on hair transplants because you've been a patient a few times kind of undermines the people who are living and breathing this stuff every single day in a clinic. They are the authority and experts. You've made judgments and assumptions on that clinic on an extremely small subset of cases they've worked on. -
I wouldn't let anyone tell you to take the drug, even a doctor. It's a personal decision. I wondered the same as you a few years back. I got sides. I'm still not 100% but it took me over a year to recover properly. There are loads of people out there that have had sides persist. End of the day, do you want to take a medicine long term that changes you at a hormonal level? It's a big decision.

Hey Nick. Thanks for sharing your experience. I haven't heard of this clinic before. I don't want to alarm you but it looks like they've taken hair from outside of the safe zone in your donor area but I'm not an expert. Did you discuss your long term plan? Looks like you were pushing a norwood 6, I hope you have some donor left for a long term plan. -

I also hope this is a mistake and I'm sure the mods will reply soon. I'm not sure its fair to compare this to the Joe situation because there was obvious conflict of interest in that scenario. No one should be silenced on here for well reasoned opinion and I hope the mods reverse this decision. If you've been contributing to the community for that long, it's definitely concerning. -
Sure, I understand what you mean but I'm coming from the bigger picture. A clinic - for most of their custom - are judged on their HT results, not on their repair work. Whether repair or normal HT is harder for the surgeon doesn't matter to the average customer. Therefore, some clinics will turn down patients that are challenging to maintain their reputation. They don't want to showcase anything other than excellent results and sometimes, the more challenging cases can look less than this high standard. Repair work is more niche, the clinic is less often judged on this. I don't see where this contradicts anything. It's about the presentation the clinic wants to put out, which again is not a criticism, just an observation to bear in mind.
-
Sure, I'm not doubting that the procedure is more difficult and requires great skill, I'm just saying that the clinics reputation is less depended or scrutinised on that type of work; they are less likely to be judged on it. How many people approach the clinic for repair vs FUE/FUT? A lot fewer I'd say.
-
I am not sure a repair procedure can be compared to a fresh patient who is a norwood 5 or 6 and the clinics results will be judged more thoroughly. One is coming from a stance of "can you try your best to fix this" and the other "can you transform my hairline". However, I'm approaching them again so I will see if you're correct.
