  1. Hey guys, these are some of my pics. Feedback would be gratefully received. https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B8KzAOZ8ReU4d3Q5SjJucG1wX3c/view https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B8KzAOZ8ReU4ZHhoeFNyM2p0dW8/view https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B8KzAOZ8ReU4enIyc1BVdUxuZzQ/view
  2. Can anyone offer me some advice. I know I'm a challenging case for a HT but most clinics seem to think they can help but I've had a reply from a rep that represents Dr Reddy here in the UK and his email was short and blunt...my hair is fine and he thinks Dr Reddy wouldn't believe I would be a good candidate for a HT. This has dented my confidence a bit. I would have thought I'm either a candidate or not but there seems to be a grey area. Do you think this is a case of a clinic not wanting to risk comeback/ get a bad result? Thanks in advance for any advice.
  3. Is that really 2500 grafts? Or 2500 hairs? Seems like a large amount of grafts to cover not such a big area. I imagine its taken a large amount of your donor for future work also. Looks good though.
  4. hey guys, thanks for the replies. I am also wondering the same thing Tullynagardy but it seems from the replies that the doctor doesn't do a hard sell for the products. I have replied to Dr Saifi asking if its his preference for me to go there for a consultation before booking. Haven't received the reply yet but I will try and avoid two trips. I don't see a problem per se that the doctor will want your scalp in a good condition pre surgery but I just wonder why we don't see any other clinics doing this. Also, where is the evidence? hairman22 - Are you able to share with us how much these products are? One more thing. I am a norwood 6 and the doctor has recommended 2500 grafts now and around 1500 a year down the line on the crown. I don't ever see Dr Saifi doing more than 2500 in one op. I believe he is ethical but maybe too conservative? Even Bisanga has recommended 4000+ grafts for me.
  5. Thanks for the post. I'm in contact with Dr Saifi now actually. Can you give us some more info on this Tricotest? The cynical side of me is saying that its an opportunity to sell you hair products that you could buy for a lot less elsewhere! What products were you recommended and were they sold to you from the clinic? I'm also wondering whether there is the evidence out there that suggests regular cleaning etc and different potions do make a difference. Obviously, fin and minoxidil do have evidence but why isn't this Tricotest offered at other clinics?
  6. Hi people, I have been in contact with a few belgium surgeons and they both said my suitability for a HT will depend on an assessment because from the photos, it could be tricky. I need to get such things as: -hair density in the donor region, FU/cm? -hair quality (thin/medium) -hair diameter (of extreme importance) -size of the recipient area in cm? -donor capacity (rough calculation of the available FU’s) One of them suggested to go to a clinic here and get those results and forward them on. Does anyone know of a clinic near Bristol that would do this? And would they give me the results to take away?
  7. Interesting. I certainly have enough body hair! Is the quality of hair on the body the same? Does it cost more for BHT?
  8. I haven't discussed anything like that no. Was kind of surprised at the lack of information they gave. I won't be considering FUT to be honest.
  9. I got a reply from Bisanga's rep and it said - "You have quite a large surface to restore, so the Doctor would need to see your donor area closely to be able to give you all your options. You will probably need to do a combo intervention to harvest as much grafts as possible over 1 session" Does this mean a FUE and FUT? Thanks
  10. I would assume there is a slight chance antidepressants thin the blood hence the reason for avoiding around the operation date. Definitely do not mix the antidepressants with finasteride if you're also taking that.
  11. I'm not entirely sure which part of the op you are unsatisfied with but if it were me, I'd want a better hairline, like mav23100gunther says. I'm puzzled why this wasn't addressed on the touch up but maybe you were more unhappy with the density?
  12. Dude, stop worrying about your hair, you've got a good natural hairline there. Having said that, this result is really questioning my decision on going with Dr K when I have my first HT. Have you shown Dr K these pictures? I would be surprised if he didn't offer a follow up operation in light of the result.
  13. Oh f off you ungrateful twit. Don't come on a forum for advice if you aren't mature enough to have a discussion.
  14. I didn't say I was going to give him a great review. A hack wouldn't even be in those three tiers; I am putting recommended surgeons into three levels. You're not going to get the absolute best in the world in Turkey. Also, he's good but not the best in Turkey so I think tier 3 is accurate. He's also extremely reasonable in pricing so I'm not sure what you're expecting at that level? If you've got the cash to splash then Belgium is a lot closer to home.
  15. I can see the attraction with Dr K, his prices are very reasonable. If you split all surgeons into three tiers for their results I would put him at tier 3. He's not one of the best but he's ethical. He works within his own comfort level.
  16. It's a bit unfair though isn't it? Neither the doctor or yourself has control over how many hairs are on each graft and the number of grafts is a function of how much work the doctor has to do. So seems very odd to quote in number of hairs.
  17. Don't worry, I was contacted by what must have been an agent for him about a month ago and he has what sounds like a 3rd pricing structure now! I don't think it's entirely fair to be going into details on a public forum so I'll leave it there.
  18. "price is 0.6 euro per hair all inclusive" Exact words to me when I made an enquiry, although this was May 2016.
  19. That's good, glad you've found a solution. I was hoping to achieve the same on 0.2mg, which as you know is an extremely low dose. Looking at the range of side effects on this drug; doesn't surprise me at all that insomnia happens. If it can cause anxiety, then it can definitely affect sleep. All related. Can I ask what brand of fin you're using? I'm using Fincar on this occasion.
  20. I just started fin on a 0.2mg dosage and was unable to sleep again. Happened to me a few months ago but wanted to give another try. Really strange as I was taking fin for about 3 months a few years ago but stopped then due to libido issues. I guess I am one of the ones that fin doesn't agree with.
  21. Whilst I appreciate that Dr K is highly ethical, I am slightly bothered that he seems to be the only surgeon that operates in number of hairs rather than grafts. I believe this is something recent for him, perhaps only 12 to 18 mths ago. Why does he think this is necessary when hundreds of others surgeons around the world operates in no of grafts? There's no way of comparing prices or knowing that you are getting good value for money etc because he won't know no of grafts until he's finished the operation.
  22. No, not saying that, I'm not qualified enough to know. As far as I'm aware there's no peer reviewed evidence that vitamin pills work as intended.
