  1. No pics as of yet....pics really has nothing to do with it.. Im sure Dr rahal did the finest job that he could and thats most important.....His results do s[peak for themselves....
  2. well. during my consoltation he was nice as well... But again, as long as the work is superior it wont matter to me. I was just suprised that a top recommended surgeoen didnt say more than 4 words to me during and after the procedure.. If thats just his way to get the beswt result, then im all for it....
  3. I never said no one should, but for most it will be a pain after a few years. IF anyone has a great experievce with it and can handle the maitinence, all the power to them... I wore one for a few years and can tell yu first hand about the pitfalls.. Everyones lifestyle, income and social circles are very difference which can effect things greatly. yes having hair is great and if a system were maintinence and hassle fre id be the first to recommend....I think whoever wants to try it should and then they can make the decision if they want to cope ...
  4. Hair systems defy one major thing....PRACTICALITY.. It isnt practical to always worry, check, maintain, and avoid certain activities from wearing one....it is at first no worry as many have stated but after a while its just plain depressing....like trying to keep a shirt constantly pressed with out EVER showing one wrinkle But i mean someone might not care....especially if people find out....ive seen normal thinning wayy out of shape guys walk around and i think wow..id NEVER leave the house looking like that....so it works both ways.. So the debate will never be solved...i personally dont see any reason for somone to wear a piece.... but then again..lets be practical..it seems the world looks at that as a joke, it isnt right but thats JUST how it is....
  5. Im sure any cosmetic artist has donr this kind of procedure...just do some checing in your city and ill bet theres a few that do this as well...it hasent taken off yet so its not readily advertised... As dr Shapiro stated in a post...it should be approached with caution....it will work in some situations better than others.....
  6. Houndog, Well since i wear my hair longer....its very subtle little lines like little hairs....so when the hair is longer, from a foot away you dont see flesh, just darker skin which means you cant tell theres a scar....its more just to lesson the contrast of flesh and hair... but ive gone twice and will go one more time to get a littel more done...if the head is completely shaved you would use tiny dots, so it depends how the hair is worn...its not the perfect solution but for camoflauge it sure beats seeing dark hair and then pink flesh... once its completed ill post a few pics,,,,,
  7. Artistry concepts... I sent them a [pic ture, poliely asked them for a quote ( which on the website they tell you to do ) and said i was checking them out and a few others before i made a decision.. the reply was.....why are you checking other places out.. i said as a consumer im just checking my options the repley was STILL dont you knwo we are the best?? I kindy still asked for a quote and didnt see their concern of me looking out for options they said I wasnt going to be considered for the treatment.. Something is seriously wrong with that company...I thik its a HUGE sham and they are playing on the hope of people to find a solution...Either thy guys a total jackass or they really need to hire a PR person
  8. I live in Toronto and i had my scar tattooed,,,,and it looks ALOT better...200 % It needes around three sessions to get the right amount ...but just to fill in certain points of a bare scalp it works great..I mean whats the alternative?? Having a noticible scar or one that at least the contrast is not so noticable....And since i wear my hair a bit longer, ii works well..i mean to completely buzz might be a different story...and some ink like cosmetic ink fades to nothing after a few years....so at least it wont be permanent for life..
  9. Why would someone want to block DHT?? iSint that the whole point of finasteride?/ To save hairs?? People take drugs, test, whatever.....i hhave no moral problem to whomever takes anything for whatever reason.....who cares?? it was a simple medical question to see if test suppliments ( whoch most one here have a low reading because of the Fina ) would help....ever human is different and needs different drugs so you cant really lump in everyone " you shouldnt take that becaseu its wrong and might hurt you "" Its not a matter of being broken its improving....
  10. Pale rider.....good comment.. its crazy to gain a few hairs and potentially screw up your libido for life.. AND its not even proven to work THAT good... but to each his own.. I find the difference sexually on it and off it is immense...the only way i see around it is taking testosterone suppiments .....but in theory would the fina block the extra DHT as well???
  11. I could tell a big difference......personally it aint worth it.....i stick with minoxidil and hopefully thats enough... Others that dont have any effects...youre a lucky bunch!!!
  12. Crown still looks great,,,if you can hang on to all that hair youre sittin pretty... I personally think your drawn in hairline looks great, others might disagree...i seem to be a tad more agressive in my thinking... The caveat is how much more hair will you lose in the future?? If we all knew that it would be alot easier to judge..and as long as you prepare for the fact you MIGHT lose alot more it wont be such a shock if it does happen... Id say go for it.....get the 2500 grafts and go from there...hopefully the drgs can halt any further loss...
  13. check out new hair institute,,,they have a few pics that look really amazing.... And your right...shouldnt take more than a few hours, and im sure a touch up is needed....some poeple are getting the whole head done to make it thicker....i havent seen anyone in person though
  14. aaron1234 Didnt end up with Goodlookink,,,the price was wayyyyyy too much......but the idea of the tattoo..Ive seen alot of pics and although not perfect,,it seems like a very viable option. Im getting it done by a local cosmetic tattoo artist, so after the second round Ill post some pics and let you guys know how it turns out..... its kinda like a permanent dermmatch...and NO MESS!!!!!
  15. Ya thats NOT a typo.......Thats what I said...i figured maybe 200- 250 an hour tops... After my comment i wasnt even bothered with a reply..... Thats what I mean...Taking advantage of a new procedure to guys desprate for a solution and overcharging.......
  16. Thanks for the info....just had the first session done,,,still very red but after the second ill make sure to post some pics... ive spoen to both good look ink and artistry concepts.....Since they are ne of the very few offering this procedure ( i mean the whole tattooing the scalp idea ) they seem to be taking advantage of that...Good look ink quoted 4500 for a 6 hour session... Artisty concepts never gave a quote, but staeing since i couldnt understand the difference between how much better they were than anyone i wasnt a candidate....sounds like they were ready to really use a high price after they get you to believe they are better than the rest... New hair institute and Dr Shapiro have commented on this procedure, and I feel it is a great compliment to a hair transplant......too bad alot more dont offer this...it is another answer to the density problem we all have....
  17. Hi Guys....just a quick question to see if anyone had any info iv eheard about and seem guys getting their scar tattooed...looks pretty good actually. Does anyone know if it affects any future hair transplant procedures??? Will the ink do aything to the surrounding follicies?? thanks in advance...
  18. If they use the pull through method of attachment...after a few years yes you will get it...
  19. Ya the cost worries me a little,,,and im pretty sure the company that comes out with a cure knows MOST would pay anything to have hair back...
  20. You guys actually believe it??? Cmon...like he didnt notice when the procedure was actually done?? And then for all the embarrasement go to the local paper for a full head shot???
  21. I remeber vaugely about an austrailan doctor ( Woods I think? ) who had this radical new procedure everyone doubted.....no one could believe it and were skeptical.. Turned out to be FUE.. With all this Hype there WILL be a cure one day...just a matter of when....and both us positive and negative thinkers will be popping the bubbly when it happens
  22. Lol... you definately have to be a wanker if you didnt notice after the procedure... Kinda funny though.....
  23. A couple points to your questions... The hair has NO natural oil in it, so when you wash it it will strip the hair shaft down so to speak and will definately wear out...So the more you wash and condition it the quicker it becomes dry looking. As I stated before, you can replace it once every two or three months to have it looking great all the time but do the math over five or so years and that s ALOT of money.. How it will hold on yur head is dependant on your chemical make up of your sweat and oils on your head....For some it can last a week or so and others a few days. You constantly check and after a while youll know how the bonding will react.. Hair transplants underneath COULD work, but going from a thick head of hair, then the tranplant will be at first not even half as thick, so psychologically it wont be a great option.. Again, the only real way to get the right answers is to do the procedure and see how it fits your lifestyle....At first the maintinence is no problem becasue the new hair is very exciting, but after a few years it can be a oain.. Ive had a system for 5 years and then got a tranplant, so believe me i know what im talking about through first hand experience.....
  24. lol....yes reading it over my posts do sound negative.. but you hit the nail on the head...if you can get over the insecurity and dont mind wearing hair....it shold be no problem. If you want to 100% conceal the secret at all costs then the problems arise... its always that stigma like the last gentleman said......
  25. No problem....love to help out. I mean when they attach....an option is that they pull your natural hair on the sides and back through the system, and then glue it so it nice and tight. but after years the follicle will die. so even if you decide to have the stubble look you might have little bald patches around your head. ANY company or salesman who denies this is lying. Glue is a little better, but a month with a system glued to your head dosesnt smell too great. Constantly glueing can also affect the follice......Im sure you tube has some examples.. If your young there WILL be a time in your life where youll change your priorities and want to shave the head. It will be terrible iof you cant even do that from a previous thing thats left you scared. MAybe tri the semi permanent clip in for the time being. And tyes you can shower and bathe no problem. The longer the hair it DOES tangle alot....and remember when it falls out it doesnt come back.....time for a new system. The less wear and tear such as washing and things liek that the better....uinless you have a tone of disposible income and can afford a new system every couple months... but you would have to go for service every 4-6 weeks if it is permanently glued. prob a hunderd bucks a pop....
