  1. Dr Konior..hands down. Also as far as cost, I know for a fact that he will put extra grafts in at no cost. He is not only a superb doctor, but extremley ethical. He may see you and decide to put you on meds for a period to see if you can avoid surgery. That is what sets him apart... Just my humble opinion good luck
  2. thanks for the replies... so the foam isnt as greasy i would assume??
  3. Has anybody switched from Rogaine liquid to foam? Would switching cause a shedding period? I have been on liquid 6 months now and went through a bad shed in the begining. Now, its gotten back to normal, but the liquid is getting pretty annoying and sticky. Would like to try the foam..Any opinions? Thanks
  4. Havent tried that, however Finasteride is a MUST! I am not a Dr. and I am sure there are legitimate side effects, but I am guessing alot of the side effects come from excessive worrying about them. Try it and see. The less you think about the side effects, the better you will be...good luck
  5. hariri, Your scar looks red like mine....Is it still that color or has it faded?
  6. I know your pain buddy.. Hope is not all lost. I would start by putting some grafts into that scar via FUE. Is the scar flat? Same color as scalp? I think by putting some hair in there it will help out with cammoflaging it..
  7. I am one month post op and still quite pink myself.. My grafts were put into scar so I would imagine that will stay pink for quite awhile. Im sure it will fade over time.
  8. Thanks for your reply Dr. My initial procedure was over 3 years ago. I have had 2 FUE's into the scar. The scar never faded from the initial procedure. Its wierd because its not a bad scar (width wise) its just very pink. If I could get it to be more like my skin color, I think with FUE grafts growing, it could be undetectable. At this stage would steroid injections harm the FUE grafts? Do you think I should try aloe topically? I have never done anything to the scar but keep it clean.. Thanks again Dr... Also, I have never had any issues with bad scarring.. My other scars throughout my life have healed fine
  9. That looks great. I am two weeks post op with Dr. Konior and he is a true professional. I cant wait to see my results.
  10. Does anybody have an opinion or knowledge of silicone gels on older scars. I have been told that scars fade over time but for me the redness just isnt subsiding. Was thinking of applying a silicone gel on the scar to try and get it to fade. Any Dr.s out there using this or recommend it? Would I just be wasting my money? Was going to see a dermatologist but want an unbiased opinion.. I am normally a fast healer, so this scar issue is quite annoying!!!!
  11. I agree..Dr. Konior is the man to see. He will give you the best option..period, even if that means going on finasteride and rogaine for several months. He has performed two small repair procedures on me and me and is a 1st class Dr. in my opinion. I wish I would have contacted him before I was butchered by MHR..Also, if you email him directly, HE will respond to each and every one.. You are more than welcome to PM me with any questions
  12. Like you, my procedure focussed soley on my crown....thats where i was balding and figured if i receded in the future it would go front to back. It takes a little longer for that area to grow. I know you tried it and said it didnt work, but I strongly suggest giving FIN/and rogaine another shot.. Rogaine helped with my crown after the shedding period wore down.. The shedding actually is a good thing from what i read. I kike you wish I hadnt gone down this road but its too late now. Just trying to fix my scar and be on with my life... Maybe when im 60 i will shave down and say F*&% it... lol
  13. Man, this thread really hits home. I have had my wife cut my hair since my HT due to anxiety going to a barber or hairdresser.. I would love to find a stylist that I can trust but I have no idea where to go. I live in Chicago...any suggestions?
  14. also should try rogaine as well... i like most who have tried went through a crazy shedding period that scared the you know what out of me. But i stuck it out and 4 months later im seeing some improvment...
  15. I have been on it for over 3 years... no side effects whatsoever. Ironically, it may have increased my sex drive..lol
