  1. Ive had two with Armani and the sults were great....Conservative might be a good way to go, but cmon..Not all of us are seeing what would look great in 20 years.....Somew people dont like a 50 year old hairline at 30...What the heck would anyone care?? IF you all care so much cough up the dough to help pay for the repair procedure.....a man smart enough to get a transplant shoud also have done the research and know the limits.... Im so sick of hearing guys bash anyone or doctor willing to take a small risk,,,,, All the recopmmended docs im sure pay a fee for this great advertising///but im sure have made a few errors in judgment while performing surgeries...i wonder why we dont hear of thise results?
  2. thats exactly right..... Ive kinda think that the ONLY way youd be totaly happy with a hairpiece is one of two ways... a) you DONT care if people know or can tell the odd time.....secrecy isnt an issue. YOu can accept and talk freely about it b) your totally oblivious to the fact it wont look natural ALL the time.... If your worried people will notice and find out youre sunk......stressd out at all times..( when in public anyways......)
  3. Hmm...it wont fall off, and they can look very real. But the maintinence is hell. It requires constant attention and after a while it is a real pain to maintain...You will always know its on, just like a pair of glasses. The ones that are the top of the line are very thin, and to look the best they require replacing every 6 months or so. You can strech it but them it wont look perfect. And if someone notices just once youll always have that pre conceived notiion that people can tell. It really can play on your mind . Outdoor activities arent really a problem..... Some people dont mind the drawbacks and for others its just too much. Its a personal choice that I can honestly say you have to go through it to really know what its like... There is the attachment issue, where if they pull your hair through and attach with bonding, you will eventually get traction alopecia, where the hair wont grow where it was attached. Short term its great becasue you have the thickness and style youve always wanted, but long term opens up a whole other bunch of concerns....
  4. is it possible to ban these retards from this site??
  5. Heres one...if you DO end up tattoing the area, and in the future get another transplant./....Will the ink affect how the doctor excices a strip??? Will the ink be permanently , so to speak, leaked to the grafts???
  6. Im pretty sure they use the same make up as permanent eyeliner and things liek that. If thats the case it usually fades and disappears in a few years so i dont see what would be wrong with doing a scar. It beats having a flesh coloured area stick out like a sore thumb........
  7. Meh.. There are lots of opinions about systems on this site....some good some bad... I would do alot of research before you jump in. I used to wear one for 5-6 years and it IS a major pain in the ass. Although they can look good, the maintinence required is painstaking and constant. and they dont look perfect.. Sweating and working out isnt a problem....but the more you do you have to re attach...and when you leave thehouse you wonder if the bond will hold... The previous post is VERY good advice.....
  8. For a while?? Ive been for a LONG number of years, so i know how you feel.. Even after a transplant your a liitle worried when its not as thick as youwant it so the hat usually is on then too for a while. Im SURE its ruined more than a few work-related oppourtunities for guys that cant get over that ' WITHOUT THE HAT ISSUE."
  9. Heres some food for thought...What do you guys think is better, a doctor that charges per session, or by the graft?? Ive sen afew doctors charge say.....6500 for a large session ( 1500-2000 grafts) but im wondering if this would make sense. Anyone see an upside to this?
  10. Glad to hear the experience went well!! I too am going to Dr Rahal so the feedback is reassuring.. As for the propecia, Ihad the same side effects, lower libido. Its a personal choice, i really cant see going through life with a lowered sex drive,,,,its just not worth it. If that side effect is very noticible id lower the dose or stop altogether and maybe just use some rogaine...
  11. Hello all... I have been on Propecia for a few years, and yes......when IM on it my libido goes down....no ifs, ands or buts about it. Its not in the head, or due to anxiety. I think alot more people have this problem, and its a crazy choice to make...sexual prowress or lose more hair? What crappy choices!!! Im just going to stay with Minoxidil to help prevent further loss. My two cents is ive learned NOTHING is more depressing than a low sex drive...not even a drug to stabilize hait loss....
  12. Its funny.....but I notice however is not a member ( dr. ) of this forum gets bashed....whomever is always gets the praise..I agree that every doctor on here is at the top of the transplant game, but cmon...its kinda getting obvious that only members are supported.....good advertising maybe?? Just my two cents
  13.

  14. If the person ISNT insecure i would just use the term idiot....Anyone that will make fun of anything that might be a sensitive issue i would consider one... If they make fun and have no clue that the other IS sensitive then thats just ignorant. If its long time buddies and its NOT around a ton of people then sure.....thats just ribbing...which is not bad at all...but come on...How does anyone not realize when you point soemthing out infront of a crowd ( especially women ) THAT isnt right?? The pointing it out doesnt make them an insecure idiot....in front of a crowd to cause embarrasement does.... But thats just me.....
  15. It can make any area look alot denser, especially if you already have some hair..
