  1. Can someone who has had one FUE session, then later have strip? Or will the scarring from the FUE cause problems with the area that is to be taken out for strip?
  2. Hi Sean, I think you're looking great, although have you considered going a little shorter on top? I've found I get better blending of the grafts with the native hair when the native hair isn't too long. I wouldn't think of going much shorter, but maybe 1/4 or 1/2 an inch could make a good difference for you? Thanks, SugarHighs
  3. Hi Hariri, (not to hijack, Sean) but I've had the same thoughts of going back to a caesar style, as well. My thickness at the hairline just isn't there yet. Although I am only at 5.7 months, so I am hoping for improvement over time.
  4. It looks ok indoors, with Rogaine in it. A month ago however, I could run my fingers through it, and go outside with no ill effects. It's much thinner to the touch now, and now looks thinner in daylight. I can see my scalp for the first 2cm+ in the front center under almost any light, whereas previously that area was rock solid.
  5. I'm going to give in until 8 months to improve, which is another 2.75 months. At that point, if we're not much farther along, I will begin the process to see if Dr. Rahal will do repair work for me.
  6. There has been a gradual but significant thinning of my recipient area over the last 3-4 weeks. What was becoming a very firm straight hairline is now much softer and thinner from the eye's perspective and also to the touch. I've contacted Dr. Rahal's office, and they have reassured me just stay on the minox and the grafts will grow back. I haven't been off minox at all, and I am using the propecia I ordered from Dr. Rahal's office. No undue stress in my life at the moment, so I am left a little baffled.
  7. I found that the foam works as a styling product if you use a full capful on short hair, but the instructions really state to use half a cap. Liquid minox works too, but it makes your hair really stiff. I am not sure what people are talking about when they say get it on your scalp not your hair. If it gets on your scalp, it's going to get on your hair! I do the method of touching the dropper to my scalp like one the senior members here mentioned, though. I like to wash my hair, gently pat towel dry, and then apply the minox after 20 mins assuming I have time. I still find the Kirkland Minox to be far superior as far as effectiveness to the foam, in my opinion. With the liquid, I can feel the effects within 5 mins, my face flushes, and sometimes I get a throbbing in my veins. There is definitely some "vasodialating" going on. With the foam, I don't always notice that effect, or it is much more minimized.
  8. Hmm so foam and then styling product. I was using the foam as the styling product, but you're right, it looks like you're not using product. Maybe I will give your method a try! And you're right, I don't want to wash my hair twice a day, simply for the purpose of rinsing out minoxidil. Mainly because washing your hair that much will dry it out.
  9. Question, can I apply minoxidil "twice in a row" without washing the hair, with no ill effects? For example, I would like to shower at night before going to bed, apply minox, then apply it again in the morning when I wake up. Then I would goto the gym around 12-2pm and wash the hair thereafter. Any issue with that, or do I have to wash it between each application?
  10. 26 years any man alive his hair is going to look worse. Unless his name is Brad Pitt or Sean Hannity. Even Mitt Romney, who has never smoked, had a drink, or probably did an unhealthy thing in his life; his hair looked significantly better in his 30s than now.
  11. Hey Sirius, It's too early to comment on the effectiveness, but how do you find the application and result of applying the Lipogaine to be? Better or worse than generic minoxidil? I am trying to get away from Kirkland 5% a bit because it really makes my hair look dry and brittle, and it makes gray hairs look even grayer. :I Also am curious if the azealic acid actually makes any real difference in terms of DHT blocking, or if it's just a psychological thing. Thanks, Sugar
  12. Thanks, everyone! I am mainly really happy so far, and looking forward to the future. I have a slightly bad haircut here, and looking forward to getting back to my regular stylist - I'm pretty sure after my next cut in 2 weeks, it's going to look dynamite. As it grows in, I'm realizing the fade has to be cut a lot lower than it used to be. All part of having a new hair line! Thanks, Sugar
  13. My rating so far: Naturalness: 9.5/10 - It's simply amazing that Dr. Rahal is able to do this. My hairline looks extremely natural. Density: At present - about 4/10. Although I expect it will get better. The right side of my hairline is still extremely thin, and it is very difficult to make it look even with the rest of the hair. With my native hair involved, it helps a bit, however under bright lights, or outdoors in sunlight, "the emperor has no clothes" as they say. This will have to improve significantly in the coming months for me to consider the procedure a success. One concern I have: I looked up close, with magnification, under bright lights, on both the left and right side, with hair wet and dry, and I can not find any new hairs that are less the 1/2 inch in length. This suggests to me that no new hairs have popped in the last month, as hair grows 1/2" per month. Hairs that were already grown have matured, but why no new stubble hairs? Is this normal?
  14. 4.5 months. Nothing in my hair other than a tiny bit of liquid minoxidil.
  15. Thanks Matt. I am really looking forward to it too, for sure! I appreciate your feedback.
  16. Thanks, Sean. I am excited about the months upcoming. I was really impressed by your 7 month video. It looks like a big improvement from 6 months, so I'm sure you're thrilled!
  17. Thanks, RC. I am not telling the secret of the magic juice.
  18. Here are my 3 months and one week photos. Appreciate any comments. I will post some before/afters if I am able. Hair is dry here, and looks a lot thinner when wet. The left side has grown in thicker than the right, so far. These were taken at night, in the city under a giant skylight, with flash. Two things I notice when comparing to photos from October is that minoxidil seems to have swollen the area around my eyes and eyelids, and also I am pale as a vampire without sun.
  19. I frequently get a throbbing sensation in my ankles and feet after applying minoxidil. It has never made my foot go numb, but it does affect that area of the body for about 5 minutes.
  20. I am caucasian/middle eastern and I have very curly hair for a white-looking guy. I had FUE, however I was warned by the doctor that there is no way of telling if the follicle hair curls up underneath the skin without doing test extractions. Basically the way to find out is to have the doc do some test extractions. I would focus on going to a doctor experienced with FUE, rather than doc who's just experienced with African American hair. Also, do not believe the hype about finasteride if you haven't tried it yet. I have been on Fin since 2000 and I've never had a sexual problem. In fact I came so hard into a girl last weekend I almost knocked her into the wall.
  21. Yeah, I am okay Gille thanks for checking. I cut down to 2.5ml per day for a week or two and now I'm going to go to 2ml per day. I've also decided to take the minox very early in the morning and then again before bed. Was using it at 12pm and 12am, but the noon usage I think made me more swollen later into the evening.
  22. Dr. Rahal's people said I can scale back to 2ml per day or even 1ml per day and it's no biggie. I am starting by going to 2ml per day, and we will take it from there. Thanks everyone.
  23. Looking really good! Way better than the original photos. Just think of the continued maturation you still have to do in the coming future.
  24. What kind of trouble do you have with propecia? I have never had an issue (that I've noticed.)
