  1. I am applying .5ml to the crown and 1ml to the recipient area (the front), as advised by my clinic, in the morning and then again at night. I think I am going to cut down to .25ml at the crown and .75ml at the recipient area.
  2. Yeah NHP, I think I am sticking with 2ml per day from now on unless I hear otherwise from the doctors. I actually started using the Foam sometimes, when I can wait for my hair to dry. It actually works okay, and I can see why you're happy with it:)
  3. Hey Sean, Thanks for the sentiments, that's really what I needed to hear. I was feeling a little bad last night, and I feel better now. At ten weeks now I am at just enough time to see some small amount of growth, but not comfortable to go out without a hat. And getting tired of wearing the hat. I want to go out and flirt with girls, like I always have done, but I feel like a little bit of a dork in my hat. It's important to realize these problems are in your head, and not reality, so I try to remember that. Overall my scalp feels pretty close to back to normal. I have some reduced sensitivity in the recipient area and mid-scalp, but it's much much better than it was before. Regarding pigment, I think I have finally reached the point that the redness has gone away. There is still a minor difference in pigment between my recipient area and the rest of my head, but I would bet most people wouldn't even notice it (if I ever left the house without a hat - haha!) I thank you again for the encouraging words, and I hope I provide you with similar encouragement. Staying around and posting here is a really big part of that. Thanks, Sugar
  4. I did not articulate clearly what is happening.. I do not experience an immediate swelling after using the minox, rather, the changes seem to have taken place gradually over the course of the last two months.
  5. Aveda Grooming Clay is the business! Awesome stuff that I would recommend any guy test.
  6. Hi Sirius, Do you take any minoxidil? I notice that you don't have any puffiness at all in your face, and I am wondering if it's just me. Thanks, Sugar
  7. He looks way younger, especially at the profile, and I am sure he is really psyched. Do you have any idea his density at the front? For example at the hair line where it is flipped over to the right in the bottom photo? Thanks, Sugar
  8. Since beginning minoxidil about 8 weeks ago (I'm 10 weeks post op overall) I have noticed a disturbing trend. My face is retaining water, and my skin at the cheeks and around the eyes is now puffy in a way that it never was before. I have always had skin that was flush against my cheekbones and brow. Before and after photos of my face have helped me determine that I am not imagining these things. Has anyone found a way to combat this problem? I am considering scaling back from 3ml minox per day to 2ml per day. Any concern that this will stunt the positive effects of the minox? I want to do everything I can to strengthen my hair, but I struggle with the idea of looking like a 50-year-old alcoholic...
  9. HH, the valleys are normal, I had this also post Dr.Rahal. I can dig up the photos off my iPad later if you would like to see them. Re the numbness, I had NO feeling in my scalp up top until almost 2 months. At 10 weeks, I now have had most of the sensitivity return, but there is still some numbness in the recipient area and mid-front.
  10. I'm doing well, thanks Sean. I have had some superficial growth now, and I'm approaching 10 weeks. I will post more photos at 12 weeks. I have some very minor cosmetically significant growth in front now, that is visible when my hair is up/back, but the hair is still way too short to wear back.
  11. Hi Sean, Looking good! Based on your expectations, how would you rate your satisfaction with your Six Month results?
  12. With respect Hariri, I do not believe that is an accurate statement. I sought out Dr. Rahal looking for an FUE procedure, and was informed that I would be a good candidate for both FUT or FUE. At no time was I "encouraged" to go with FUT, nor was it suggested that FUT is a markedly better procedure for yield. The clinic repeatedly stated their confidence in FUE yield before, during, and after the procedure. I believe I was quoted their expectation is roughly 95-100% yield from FUT and 90-95% yield from FUE. Will these results bear out? I don't know, because I am still only 10 weeks post. However we will find out from photos posters such as myself and Sean, and it will be documented here.
  13. How could he wear concealers during the match? Doesn't it rub off when he runs, sweats, heads the ball?
  14. Hi Matt, I find the opposite to be true post-procedure regarding absorbtion. I notice when using the liquid as directed by Mike (.5ml on the crown + 1ml on the recipient area, twice per day), I can feel the side effects of the medication strongly - usually this is a pulsating sensation in my extremities / feet, that I notice about 3-5 minutes after applying the minox. When I use the foam, I also feel the same effects in my feet, but to a much much lesser degree. I can't explain the headaches, however they also seem to coincide with using the foam, but never the liquid.
  15. Thanks, Newhair. I got it sorted out. Persistent guy that I am.
  16. Welp, I need Propecia, and need it in 2 days. I'm running out of it, and my General Practitioner is being a prick about filling it for whatever reason. If anyone can help me out, please PM me.
  17. Yeah, it's a mixed bag for sure. As long as you are using Minox 2 X per day, I think you will probably start to see some growth soon. Mike (from Rahal) told me to use 1 ml on the recipient area and .5 ml on the crown two times per day. This definitely seems to be doing something.
  18. I'm not sure what the international size restrictions are, but US/Canada lets you carry individual bottles of up to 3oz / 88ml as long as they are sealed. I bought these brincatti bottles on ebay. Easy Fill Travel Toiletry Bottle Set TSA Approved 3 oz. | eBay
  19. It's hard for me to tell, but I think some of my hair is new because of the length. I have not cut my hair in this area, so I think the shorter hairs have to be growth?
  20. Honestly, in my unscientific opinion, I think the foam is bullshit. I use it very occasionally when I need to run out quickly and can't wait for the liquid to dry, and it always gives me headaches. There is something in the inactive ingredients in the foam that causes me some issues. If it works for you, then you're lucky, but I would stay with the Kirkland Minox.
  21. We are nearly in the same boat, I am at 6.5 weeks post op! Are you using Minox liquid twice a day?
