  1. Just my 2pence worth, Has anyone ever considered the over usage of propecia? I know lots of guys on forums and through work who have got to a stage where they thought the drug was no longer working and decided to take higher dosage ,without medical advice ,from a physician. Could some of the problems ,come from patients taking increased dosages above what propecia was ever meant to be taken?
  2. Good post voxman. I agree, we should all keep perspective, at the end of the day as a ageing male, were supposed to lose hair, it's not uncommon, yet we all feel like our life's are coming to an end. Sorry about your grandson fella, he looks happy in his pic though. You reckon he will be a rocker like his grandad?
  3. But, again, we're always open to ideas. What other names do you guys think may work? Hi Dr bloxham. I'm not sure why so many people have a problem with the name. Like with the battle of FUE vs Strip, I don't think your going to put a smile on everyone's face regardless of what you call the procedure. At the end of the day it's 'middle of the road FUT. it's a combo of the best of both techniques. 'MORFUT' Check in the post please:D
  4. I respect Dr bhatti giving his experience , I'm still none the wiser. Yes the tide is changing and more people want fue, but does that mean a doc should give someone a procedure based on what they want rather than what's best for the patient? Both surgeries have there pro's and con's but we still haven't had a pure fue surgeon explain the flaws in fue, we have heard bits but not all . I wish people would stop referring to FUT as strip though. It's all FUT!! The types of surgery we have are based on how we extract the donar, which is FUE and STRIP.
  5. Pure fue docs have had the opportunity to come on here from the start, let's hope we finally get a good debate underway. I have had both and both are great procedures in great hands. But there are far too many docs out there not sharing all the flaws with both types .
  6. Thanks dr bloxham, I think the hospital group scar fell outside the safe zone. Dr feller said we might be able to bring more into play if I had another strip, but I've always known I will probably have part of a second scar. I have pics on my web blog. I can shave to grade 3 so doesn't really bother me, but was just thinking earlier if modified fue might be best option. See how the tide is turning on this thread now.
  7. Dr feller, Dr bloxham, I have a question please, I'm hoping to bring both my scars together, but is it possible to achieve this without taking too much of a strip and then using modified fue to gain the extra grafts I require? Just curious if this would help me achieve a better scar, as this is my final ht before I head of into the sunset with my mop of hair
  8. There is parts of the flaws in fue that Dr feller is trying to explain to people, that was explained to myself by Dr Lorenzo. I don't see this as trying to talk people out of having fue, just more about making sure people fully understand there's flaws and no surgery is bomb proof.
  9. Great hairline design doc. Well the first thing is I'm jealous, that patient has great donar hair. When I took my staples out, you couldn't see my scar. Hair calibre plays a part for sure, but I can shave down to a grade 3, without any visible signs of having a scar.
  10. Dr feller, it's nice to see your keeping up the good fight. Even though I've had both types of surgery with world class surgeons, I still believe strip is the safest option for mega sessions. It's just a shame other docs dont join this discussion and be upfront and honest about the short falls of fue. The fact they don't in my opinion, just backs up everything you have said. Well done sir. See you in October .
  11. I think your confusing patients more by referring to strip as FUT. it's all FUT. The difference is how we extract the donar. Which is strip and fue.
  12. Can't go wrong with your list. You've done your homework
  13. I'm going to drop him a message. I don't think the repair went well, he was asking on his thread for recommendations . I think this could be a classic case. If I had it all to do again, I think I'd prefer mfue. Or as I refer to it as middle of the road fut All the positives and less of the risks, what's not to like
  14. Can't beat the wow factor doc, that's what we all want. I think you missed a trick with the modified fue though. You have been looking for people to participate , I thought you might of approached Sean. I think after the results he got in his big fue cases this might of been a great case to prove that someone can get a strip result with fue like scarring. Just a thought
  15. Great post Dr Bloxham, It's a shame this guys needs couldn't be met. But it's nice when a doctor spends time and explains why there needs can't be met. That's what's great about this forum, ethical docs not just out for the big bucks.
  16. Nice work Dr Lindsay. Look forward to meeting you when your over with Dr feller in October .
  17. I went fue in my third procedure, but only as I needed to cherry pick my finer hairs for temple points. For me it's like an artist, being given a pot of paint, to do his canvas and his fue alternative 3/4 pot of paint and asked to do the same painting, with the same detail. It can't be done.
  18. I went to a clinic in UK as they were cheap, didn't get a good result and everyone knew I'd had an ht. I ended up having to go for a second procedure with a great surgeon to fix mistakes of first clinic, in the end it cost a lot more than if I'd just gone to a great surgeon in first place. My 2 pence worth, Dr gabel, is awesome. You would be going with a safe bet with a good reputation.
