  1. Hi All I'm now at 14 weeks post op (103 days to be precise) and nothing much has happened. I know this is still early days, but still after some reassurance. I think I have read that the majority of people start to sprouts new hairs between days 90-120. Is this correct ? I have had some growth of hair that was transplanted into a scar near my hair line, which is obviously good news but I was expecting this to be one of the last areas where hair would arrive, if at all (due to lack of blood supply??) To be honest I would of expected a bit more by now, but I guess I am being impatient? I think I know the answer , but will send anyway !!!!!! Reassurance welcome !!!!!!! Thanks
  2. SFMG Seems like everything went very well for you. I'm please for you. Probably a good idea to set up a new thread when you add your pics , rather than adding on to this thread. Otherwise a lot of people may not see if they are not reading this topic. Good luck with everythiing.
  3. Hi Sorry, I havent been able to get on here lately. I hope everything went well for you. I managed to have a fee beers after , but didnt feel great I must admit. Let me know how you got on as im really interested to hear on any Dr Saifi patients. CHeers
  4. Brilliant Thats a long stay. What are you planning on having FUE or FUT and how many grafts? I would say that the good part for me is still to come. I think a lot of mine so far is because of the meds. I have no doubt at all that it will turn out good. I am in contact with a few members on here namely Jonnyboy, Portchester Pirate , hairtohelp2 and dingdong. There are others but these are the ones I keep in touch with. All with the exception of dingdong are fully grown out and are extremly pleased with thier results. Jonnyboy had his 3rd and final treatment a month or so ago, and Porchester Pirate had his 2nd visit. Dingdong is please so far. Wroclaw is quite a nice place as well. Some cool little bars, although that will probably be the last think on your mind if you have FUT !!! Cant vouch on FUE , but I wouldnt think it to be as bad.
  5. SFMG Good luck for Monday, Im sure you will not fault the service. Dr Saifi is a top bloke and appears to be a great surgeon. I presum you will be staying in the Art Hotel. If so the food is amazing. Keeep in touch and Id like to see the pics posted on here for all to view. Cheers
  6. Dingdong Sorry I'm not too sure on your question. My density or Hairtohelps density?? With both I'm not sure too sure as the hair count is not mentioned. Thats the only negative I can say about Dr Saifi so far. It would be noce to know the actual number of hairs. Hairtohelp tis happy with the density. I'll ask him to update some pics for you to view. Most of the members on here have had surgery with the top docs, so its only natural that they will reply on cases performed by them. Myself, I always reply when I see something related to Dr Saifi etc. Im not saying this is the case with all memebers , and I do not mean any offence !! Also ,I would say my after pics are not of high definition , so it is hard to judge. The 2mega pixel camera will soon be a thing of the past !!! So far Im pleased, you seem pleased. Thats the main thing.
  7. Limo81 You obviously havent heard of Dr Saifi then ?? He is in Wroclaw,Poland and from what Ive seen is producing very good resuls. So much so , that I opted to go with him. I cant vouch as others can at this stage, as Im at 2.5 months post op, but all is good so far. There are a few happy patients of his on this site , nothing to the degree of the tops docs as he is not a paying member, but still a few.
  8. Hi There The hair looks very good as does all of True & Dorins work. Very surprised at the scar though. As you seem to have a lot of hair but the line is still visible. Have you checked with them ?? As this doesnt seem normal to me. Its not terrible by any means.
  9. Ideally I want it a bit shorter at the back and sides (grade 2 , if I can get away with the scar) then slighty longer on top. Just had a text from Hairtohelp2. He's at 8 months now and chuffed to bits !!!!!!!!!!!! Its just the worst thing and the most exciting thing. Waiting for things to happen !!!!!
  10. Dingdong Thanks for your message. I think it does, but I believe Propecia and the lighting does assist a bit. To be honest when I saw the before pics from Dr Saifi I was amazed, in a bad way . I didnt realise my hair was as bad as it was. Either way , Im really pleased so far as at this grade (3.5) I can basically say that I do not have the look of having any hair loss. However, I want to be able to grow it a bot longer and have some sort of styling. Will post pictures with a lot more defintion , when I get a decent camera. CHeers
  11. Hi All I thought I would give an update of where I am follwing surgery with Dr Saifi on 1st March. I am starting to see some tiny hairs along the hair line on one side which is very pleasing. Although nothing on the other side just yet. I hope this is normal ?????? It think its harder to monitor than a lot of cases as the majority of hair transplanted was in areas where I already hair hair. My scar is looking better and better each day, but I didnt expect it to be as noticeable as it was first off. I massively underestimated this!! Everyone at work knew I had a scar previously , so I was lucky enough to be able to use the excuse of having a scar reduction. Im not sure what I will say when I go to address the crown !!! Maybe I'll opt for fue. I have attached some photos for you all to view. The camera on my phone is not of good quality but I hope to invest in a new camera in the next month or so ( when I hit the 3.5 month mark) Also I appreciate that the lighting may be slightly different. The first photo will of eachwill show my pre-op state, the second post op. I Have added a second picture of my scar from the other side, which still has some shockloss. Hopefully this will return. However, I must state that I have been on Propecia for just over 9 months and I think this has really started to help in the last month or so. I think the pics show an improvement already , so Im hoping this will get a lot better over the coming months. My hair length I believe in both cases is about grade 3.5.
  12. Gillenator - Many thanks. Im 11 weeks post op. I will post pics soon, but I really do not think the camera will pick us these hairs just yet.
  13. Hi All When the transplanted hair starts to break through, are the hairs very soft and thin? I have seen many posts where people have stated that the hairs are very wirey at first. Surely this is after they have grown in a bit? I am starting to see a lot of baby hairs in the hairline on one side and intrigued to know if this is the start of the HT growth. Either way im happy as its a good sign. Cheers
  14. Glad to see another happy Dr Saifi patient. Look forward to the pics , when you have them I'm hoping I'm the next happy patient.
  15. Hi All I am now 10 weeks post op following surgery with Dr Saifi. Not too much to report. My hair has thickened quite a bit due to the Propecia starting to work, which I'm very happy about. New growth should hopefully start in a few weeks !!!
  16. Lets not forget the state of his hair loss before the HT and apparently he only had 3000grafts. Also , his hair is a bit longer. I know some say hair looks better the longer it gets, but I dont think thats the case. My hair without any concealer looks better shorter than with any length. For the amount of work hes had done, I think it looks good.
  17. Sorry, to many vino's on a Sunday afternoon and not reading the post fully.
  18. Hi Mate You may struggle with your budget for that aount of grafts. Ive been to Dr Saifi in Poland .He will charge 2950 gbp for 2000 grafts and 3500 gbp for 3000. So i would guess about 3200 for 2500. Assume you are in the uk ??? I know a few people who have used him and speak highly of him. Other than that , I would say head to India.
  19. Hi I might be a bit thick here, but the above scale looks like a square inch to me. A square cm would be a lot less, therefore less space between each incision. ??
  20. Bonker I dont suppose you knew the name of the Documentary ???
  21. Bonker Im not doubting you by any means, as you clearly have far more experience in this field than i have. Can you explain 1 thing. You said scars are invisible then they will appear. I thought it would get better with time , not worse? CHeers
  22. RLC Cheers mate. Just looked at your 4 months pics from Dr Saifi again. Looks good at an early stage for the amount of grafts. I noticed your Decks or Mixer in the background, are you into a bit of Djing ?? I used to about 10 years ago. Look forward to seeing some updates pics. All the best
