  1. Cerone 60 It's easy for you to say that, but I'm sure you wouldn't if the shoe was on the other foot. I had my donor overharvested, poor growth, misplaced grafts! Whilst I can appreciate poor growth from a HT, grafts wrongly angled and donor areas destroyed is unacceptable People who opt to have surgery already have issues with their hair, with this added makes the situation a hell of a lot worse. From memory there are about 15 or so patients from this forum who have been dissapointed in Doganay over the last year or 2. I am aware of at least 2 more that do not post on here. I'm sure there aren't many of the other docs on here which have such a bad record in such a time. Glad yours worked out, so sod the rest hey!
  2. Exactly the info I am after, after Doganays techs ruined my donor!
  3. I would like David the moderator to clarify his comments "Again if you take time to review the many listed complaints. Many just dont hold water at this point in time" Are you referring to the complaints listed by about 15 different memebers or the complaints listed by Paleo? Id be very dissapointed if its the former. Whilst Paleos comments are very concerning, ultimately he could end up with a good result, but looking at the work I believe this is unlikely.
  4. This seems to be happening too many times with this doc, it has a all too similar ring to my HT :- The rushing about Joking around Tranporting techs to different clinics A few second flick through the hair to see if ok (I spent 1.5 hours with Saifi before hand) Poor donor work Poor growth Having said this 4 months is way too early to evaluate and you do have time on your side, you never know it could just work out for you. As above I had a very similar situation to you but unfortunately in my case the supposed shock loss didn't work it self out so It was overharvesting by Doganay's techs. I had very poor growth and of the 50% that did grow I'd say are misplaced grafts. I also had doubles in the hairline. I went back to Saifi who removed some of the grafts and replaced. Keep us updated and I really hope it works out for you.
  5. Seems to be great work by Saifi again. Great approach. Rarely seems to get any recognition on here, but thats probably because he's not a paying member. Good luck and I hope you get good growth, Im sure you will. I may be back with him for a final ht in the new year. Head and shoulders above my experience with Doganay! Look forward to the updates.
  6. They have got greedy and are a production line with no personal touch. Dr Ayhan is fake, doesnt care about his clients and picked me up in scruffy jeans and t shirt smoking a fag!! Not the best of first impressions, but I went with it due to this site. Hairloss affects some people badly and things like this makes the situation a whole lot worse. Feel fore you mate. Go to a top doc for repair and look for the possibility of SMP for the donor. If money is an issue, I strongly recommend Dr Saifi in Poland. Top bloke, ethical, nice place and everthying AHD clinic is not!!!!
  7. I think his techs need sacking!!! They destroyed my donor and i had a crap result . Of the hairs that did grow, some are in the wrong direction. So now im paranoid when someone walks behind me as my donor is worse than my hair on top. Too many bad stories from this doc!!!! Biggest mistake of my life!!!
  8. mklDK - I'm not overly convinced on the lasercomb to be honest, not in terms of growth. It may assist with recovery, I dont know. I did recover very well from my HTs with Saifi, but I did not have huge sessions. 1650 & 1250 respectively. I will say that I did have very good results and I would certainly recommend Saifi as a HT surgeon. I have also had a procedure with Hakan Doganay for 2134 grafts but was left very disappointed with the growth and resulting donor area. Good luck in whatever you choose
  9. Hi It wasn't the actual surgeon who was rushing around, he only did the placing of the grafts, with the implanter the place and incisions are done at the same time. It was more his partner and the techs. I will say they have been very good with responses and they have obviously offered a refund, but as you say I'm not fussed about the money... I wanted more hair. Haiwreare - I would of thought all leading clinics would / should only operate on 1 patient per day. I'm not saying they are not, but I got the distinct impression they are, as some of the techs were being transported to different places as they use a few different clinics to do the work. I was in the car with them at the time and also when they were picking up and dropping off other patients. I will confirm they have been good really for the after care, but I'm just not happy about the result and that's ultimately how you judge.
  10. Before. Originally told they couldn't take any grafts under my scar as it was too thin, but they went ahead when they saw me in person
  11. Hi Just for clarity, they didnt tell me not to post, just not to say theyd given a refund. In terms of what went wrong, who knows. Everything was being done at a frantic pace and I have a Strong feeling they are doing more than 1 even 2 patients a day. I will say they were quick with replies to say sorry although no answers as to why they think it went wrong Justjax - should of gone back to Saifi, no questions, a mistake on my behalf. I chose Doganay as he was recommended on here , in my price range, and agreesive in terms of grafts.
  12. Hi I have had 2 HTs with him and cannot recommend him highly enough, both my FUE &FUT turned out very good. Any questions let me know I am going back to him in 2 weeks time!!
  13. Hi All, I've been very quiet on here recently. Unfortunately my HT was a failure and the reason for me not posting was because I was in discussions with the clinic and I didn't want to put a possible refund in jeopardy. I have since had a refund by the clinic but I cannot help but feel angry as I now look worse than I did previously. To add to this my donor area has been severely compromised (can clearly see the extraction line) So much so I now need SMP to sort. Initially I hoped this was shockloss, but its still no different 13 months on! The few hairs that did grow are poorly angled and situated well in front of my hair line and I am now in a position where I have to go back to my original surgeon (DR Saifi) to get these removed. I have been in contact with a few guys from the UK who have used this clinic, some from this site and I am yet to find anyone who is satisfied. I’m not saying there aren’t any of course. All in all, this has been a disaster from start to finish. I will post some photos a bit later, but unfortunately the clinic lost my post op photos, so I only have a few pre-ops and of course photos from the situation now. I’m going back to Dr Saifi on the 6th November for a repair and further work on my scar. Why on earth I just didn't go back to him in the first instance I'll never know!! I do feel bad as the clinic did ask me not to say anything and I have gone back on my word, however, I am just so angry and this has affected me in a big way psychologically and I just want to warn any potential patients. Obviously they must have something to be recommended on here, but may be I & those I have talked to could just of been unlucky. However, I cant help bust notice most of their good results appear to come from the clinic themselves, rather than patients directly. I was so close to finally being sorted and achieving my hair restoration goals, now it’s a massive step backwards!!! 2134 grafts I’ll never get back!
  14. Hi Dentan, I decided against Saifi on this occasion as I wanted to try an alternative surgeon. However, do not let this put you off at all as I admire Dr Saifi very much as a surgeon and a person. I just felt that with FUE he was a little conservative with regards to the number of grafts he would do, where as Hakan Doganay was prepared to do more and I felt was better equip for larger sessions. I had fantastic results with Saifi so wouldn't hesitate in recommending him!
  15. SInce 21 Yeah I'm talking about the fue, now its thin it makes the fut scar show more. Well, its not the scar, its the thick hair covering it from the tryco closure. The main issue is the shock loss at the bottom, I thought after 6 months it would return. No sign of that yet
  16. Hi I am unable to get any clearer photos at the moment. EJ - DR Saifi was excellent but just felt he was a little conservative when it comes to number of grafts. Im starting to regret the decision at the moment. Future Doc - I know, but its so hard not to when you have practically no growth. So if im anywhere near 40 % I will end up very dissapointed. Im yet to see anyone on here that still had shockloss from fue after 6 months( not saying there isnt, I just havent stumled across) Initially from my photos the doc said he could only harvest 1000 above the scar, but ended up takiny 2134 from all over the donor, so im now fearing overharvesting. TIme will tell I suppose
  17. Im not good when it come to photos , especially cropping, but here is the donor
  18. Hi IM now 6 months 1 week with practically zero growth and a ruined donor area!! I know a lot will say 6 months is early and some will say you should have 50%...... Im intrigued to get peoples opinions on what month you would state its a failure. My opinon is that if I dont see noticeable growth by month 8 I should give up all hope. I was led to believe that my donor should be back to normal by month 5 at the latest. Still no signs of that at all , so im fearing over harvestin. So to summarise , 6months No growth 2134 grafts Donor Complete mess 3k out of pocket Not happy!!
  19. I'm another patient. Anything you need to know just send me a message. Top surgeon and top bloke!
  20. Anyway, a quick update. I managed to spot quite a few thin, colourless hairs in the correct lighting and also have quite a few tiny black dots appearing which I can only hope means more hair trying to break through the surface. Either that or I've has a mass break out of black heads!! The signs are promising. Its not worth trying to capture on camera at this stage as it will not be picked up.
  21. Hotshot I would say my hair is of medium thickness. I'm sure an ethical clinic like AHD (HAKAN DOGANAY) would not transplant caucasians if they believed the result would be compromised in any way. They refuse many cases based on lack of donor supply etc, etc so truly believe this is not the reason.
  22. I think too many people assume that you should have 50% growth at 6 months and I would include myself in that. After reading the web further and in particular a video by H&W has made me much happier. I have read on many occasions that 75% of patients do not have any growth at all by month 4. In the majority of cases people get noticeble growth starting at month 6. These quotes have come from doctors rathern than patients, so I'm more inclined to trust the docs! So stay positive. In Hakan we trust!!!
  23. Hi I am in the same boat. 6 months post of with Hakan Doganay, practically no growth. whilst a free surgery has been mentioned, you cant get 2134 grafts back. Also I have a lack 8f donor supply. personally I would want my money back. Heres hoping things drastically improve over the next few months.
