  1. Hi Many thanks. I will do, im still in Poland for another week or so, but will add them as soon as I return to the UK
  2. Hi All I'm now 7 days post op after surgery with Dr Marwan Saifi , Wroclaw, Poland. Nearly all the scabs are off and i have shed few hairs. I'm sure there will be more to follow, which is a shame. Roll on 4 months time !!!! The scar is also looking fantastic at this stage, but I guess this is always the case early on. If it wasnt for the small areas which was shaved for the donor , nobody would tell I've had anything done. With another weeks growth Im confident that nobody will notice by the time I return to work next week. I now hair a hair line (albeit for a few days) that I would of been proud of 15 years ago. I'm really confident of a great result despite only having 1680 grafts (slight diffuse thinner in mid scalp and hair line) I was a bit worried at first as all I could see was redness with no hair, but these are starting to show quite clearly now. But the dredded shed is on iys way ! Cheers
  3. He'll use the same scar, but because this scar will only be pencil thin, it shouldnt affect the graft count. My previous scar was about or over a centremeter thick and 20 cms long, because of this I reckon i lost 500-600 grafts. Just a bit gutted as I wanted everthing done in one procedure, but it just wasnt possible with FUT and keeping only one scar. He could of done it with an additional scar but I didnt want this. Or he could of done Fue of 2000 or so with additional into my old scar.
  4. Hi All The recipient ares is very scabbed now and I anticipate them falling off in the next few days. The donor area is healing nicely and the scar looks very good already. I still dont think the amount of grafts I had will provide enough density , but this was due to my poor thick original scar. Only time will tell. The work does look to be very good though. I will post pics when Im back in Engalnd in about 2 weeks as I have now received from Dr Saifi. Im already thiniking of sorting the crown !!!!!!!!!!
  5. Hi All I had my Hair Transplant with Dr Saifi on the 1st of March, so I thought I'd share my experience. Pictures will be produced when received. I got picked up at the airport by Dr Saifis driver who took us to the Art hotel, which was fantastic The following morning I was picked up at 09.15 and taken to the clinic. Upon arrival and seing the outside of the clinic I thought " what the hell have I done" It got marginally better in reception. When Dr Saifi came to greet me and take me to the surgery room , my feelings changed. He immediately made me feel calm and at ease. He is a top bloke, and very knowledgable. He showed me through some pictures and repair cases he had done (which I thought were better than some of the pics currently on his site) He looked then looked at my hair and told me that my donor area was in a good state and that he suggested that 2000 grafts would produce sufficient dentsity and that he would do a scar revision so I would only be left with the one. I should also have sufficient donor and laxity for more surgery at alter date. (would confirm at surgery time) Altough, I wanted hair put through just the middle . We opted to frame the face and make sure that the transplanted hair looked natural if I was to lose further hair. Surgery The removal of the strip was probably the worst part for me. Although I felt no pain at all, it was quite a strange experience. Once that was over he took a photo and I had a quick look at the scar, which seemed great at that early stage. Dr Saifi did this all himself. After a short break of drinks, cookies etc he moved on to the doing the local anesthetics. They were the most painful part of the whole experience, but nothing too bad. Once this kicked in, he started making all the incisions with a tiny custom cut blade which was made of sapphire. Whilst he was doing this. The team on 4 technicians (most of them very pretty aswell , which always helps !) were busy dissecting grafts etcs , constantly spraying them. Once Dr Saifi finished with the incisions, the girls let me have a look through the microscopes and showed me through the process of what they were doing. By this time I think it was lunch and I had a massice salad, gorgeous crusty bread with cheese on top. Juices, coffee etc etc. Upon return Dr Safi was planting the hairs but he did have one of the technicians helping this with him.Dr Saifi only disappeared for about 30 mins or so the whole day. When he did come back he told me some bad news that they only managed to get 1680 grafts. Although I had good enough density I had alost a few hundred due to the poor original scar I had. (I am waiting for him to confirm this again to me, for clarification) So I was a little dissapointed at that time. However, he did of course refund me for the difference. I remember him saying to me that he didnt want to comprimise the result so he aired on the side of caution. Some bits are a bit faint to me because of the tablets and anesthetic. It was a long 6 hours or so but once finished the worked looked refined to me,hopefully you will agree when I post the photos. However this may be hard as I still have some hair covering a lot of the work. I left with bag of pills, instructions, hat, saline soltion etc. Overall my experience with Dr Saifi has been a very pleasant one, he just comands respect. He phoned me on the way, texted me after and even came to the hotel the evening after the surgery to say hi to my wife and child and to see how I was. I wont rave on too much at this stage as I have yet to see the results , but I have every confidence that it will turn out great even with the few grafts I have. Im sure I will be back there to fill in the crown. The only negative I can say is that I don not know the actal hair count. Although I was informed that I had plenty of 2's, 3's and even a few 4's. Hope this is of use for anyone considering surgery in Europe. The price is also very affordable to the masses. I hope i didnt bore you all too much !!!
  6. Hi All I have my up and coming surgery a week today, with Dr Marwan Saifi in Wroclaw, Poland (hopefully 3000 grafts) I will keep you all updated and I will get as many pictures as I can , but in all honesty I'm hoping that they will not show too much at the beginning, as I'm hoping to get away with hardly anyone noticing. I will be shaving down to a grade 2-3 for the surgery and will be spending 2 and a half weeks in Poland with my Wife an child. By the time I return I'm hoping that all the scabs would of fallen off and any redness in the recipient area will not show too much as I have quite a bit of existing hair. I'm not too fussed on the scar at the back as I have one anyway which all the people close to me have seen. I'm scared stiff of having shock loss, but I realise this is something I may have to go through. Hopefully if I do get, it will be minimal. I will be in touch soon and hopefully by the summer (if you can call ours a summer) I'll have loads of hair !!!!!
  7. Im not the most educated on the subject, but this is one of the best results I have ever seen !!!
  8. By the way Richie I like you, ive seen many of your posts and you tell it how it is. Feller is a legend !!!!!!!!!
  9. Interesting reading. Top docs may pack 3000 plus grafts into the same area but the cost in comparison to Rahal , Feller, H&W is considerably lower. Saifi may of only done 1500, but if it looks good and natural and youve paid 2k or so compared to 8k - 12k its happy days surely ?? You have the option to go back for more and its still cheaper in the long run. Everyone ive spoke to is so happy with thier results, so dont you worry. I really believe he is a top surgeon, but doesnt do mega sessions and takes the causious approach. Im gonna beg him for 3k grafts but he is saying 2k at this stage. At least you know he's not after your money !!!!!!! Buzz, aka Gary & smashed !!!
  10. Dingdong Im travelling on the 29th Feb, but my surgery is on the 1st March. Looking forward to it now but a bit nervous. Im sure everything will be ok for you. As I said the people who I am in contact with are over the moon with the results. Chrisdave has said you might not get great coverage for 1500 grafts,he may be right (but im sure youll be happier than now) You always have the option to add more, but the money saved in comparison to Rahal / feller etc in astronomical. Everyone i have spoke to have basically said that there is an affordable surgeon in Europe affordable to the everyday average guy !!
  11. hairtohelp2 will also be posting some pics soon as he advised me in a text. He is very happy !!
  12. Ding Dong Check out the photo album part of the site and youll see Mark11 and givemehairs photos, they are next to or near yours. Marks is at the 4.5 months and he is chuffed to bits.
  13. Hi Dingdong They look good from a distance , but the regular posters will need to see close ups. May be worth asking Doctor Saifi again , as they do not normally come through at that size. Hope your happy at this stage. Im sure everything will be ok, a coulple of others have just posted pics which look fine
  14. Dingdong Keep us posted with your progress, Ill update you on mine in a few weeks time. Cheers Gary
  15. Snowman Sorry , but this doesnt appear to show anything on Dr Saifi, unless I am missing something ?
  16. Hi Mark11 Many thanks for the private message and im glad you are happy with everything. Yeah, it would be good to see the pics as there is not many pictures of Dr Saifis work. What I have seen has been good. It would be great for the other regular members to see some of his work so they can offer their comments. I know for some people, once they have a decent result they tend not to use the forum. Personally if Im lucky to have the same, Im not sure what i'll do. It would be nice not to spend every single day of my life worrying about my hair but also it would be good to be able to help others. So hats of to all of you that still come on here all the time, when they are satisfied with their results as it because of you that others gain knowledge on the subject.
  17. Hi Dingdong Sorry , its Johnnyboy74 , also givemehair & Mark11
  18. Dingdong - Yes I went to Rodgers & Farjo. I was originally booked with Farjo but cancelled. I know they have a great reputation but the price was very high. I just wasnt 100% happy with Roders. I had email consolts with Bisanga & Hasson & Wong. H&W were spot on and were willing to drop the price due to my needs and location. Also assist with the flight & and accomodation. I just didnt fancy the journey ,I know many say you shouldnt be put off by this. For some reason Dr Saifi kept popping up and I have seen many happy customers of his. Nothing to the level of the coalition docs obviously , but enough to install confidence. Rod has stated that there many photos to go but which may be true in comparison to other docs. If you need assurance, contact : Jonnyboy12 Portchester Pirate Almighty Hairtohelp2 Rlc26 I have been in contact with these privately. All nice blokes that will really offer a lot of help and information. Ill let you know on others but cant remember their names at the moment. I would really only concentrate on the ones that have fully grown out.
  19. Yeah I must admit I was shocked when I saw it from photos . Dr Lindsey regularly shows pictures of this and it makes me think its a bigger procedure than many say it is, At the moment, I have only had a consolt based on photos. Im hoping for 2000-3000 thousand. I have a lot of hair all over still, but am limited to keeping it short. This way it doesnt look as if i have any hair loss, but Id like to be able to wear it a bit longer and style it. I believe the price per graft goes down the more you have. Ive been quoted ?2950 For 2000 grafts and I think from memory ?3500 for 3000 Im still thinking of Fue which he will do at ?2.25 per graft.
  20. All sounds good, pretty much on par with everyone I have been in contact with. Shame about not accepting credit cards, but at the price he charges I can hardly blame him !! Can you comment on the scar, how is this looking ? Thanks and look forward to seein the pics. Cheers
  21. Givemehair Thanks for the Private message. It would be good if you can post some pictures for all to see if you dont mind. What did you go for in the end FUT or FUE ?? Ive heard many glowing reports for Dr Saifi although he is not recommeded on this site. I'm confident ive made the right choice now, I was a bit concerned to start with. Since Ive started on here Ive now spoken to about 10 people who have visited the doc. All seem very good. Good luck with everything and I hope all grows well
  22. Dingdong I'm due for mine with Dr Saif in 4 weeks, so am very interested in seeing some pics as soon as you are able to. Ive been in contact with hairtohelp2 regularly and he is very happy with his results fo far (4months post surgery) Also Portchester Pirate is very pleased and going back for crown work a couple of weeks after me. Any other info you have would be appreciated. I havent read you story , but why only 1500 grafts ?? Cheers Just a quick question , how did you take GBP cash there ?? I was wondering if you can pay by credit card as the Zloty rate is very good at the moment.
  23. I had a really bad transplant with the Nobel clinic in Gatwick about 10 years ago wich has left me with a loads of bumps on my scalp. I wasnt even aware that shiockloss could occur. Luckily I didnt have any then , but it doesnt mean I wont have any now. My hair is a bit thinner now though and looking back , I really didnt need a HT at all. Many say I dont now , but I'd lick to be able to wear my hair a bit longer and style it rather than having the buzzed look. Im thinking of telling everyone about the HT, I mean theres so many people having them these days. Cheers
