  1. My hair has always been pretty thick and coarse, but sometimes I look at these pics where I doc says this patient has good density or this patient has bad density and I honestly can't tell the difference. Is there a way to tell on your own?

  3. Youn guy's bickering back and forth is getting old, and yes, it is bickering and not a discussion. We all know you were the victim of a bad transplant lms, and we all know Ron J can sometimes trumpet HT's as the ultimate answer when they indeed may not be, but both of you need to stop this because it seems like on every thread where one of you says something, so does the other and it turns into an arguement. LMS, you say aaron was forced into a commitment that is very long term ect...THEN THE VERY NEXT SENTENCE post a sentence paraphrasing aaron about him knowing what he was in for! One thing I can agree on is that every doc on this site isn't world class. IMO that is a disticntion held by maybe 3-4 docs here. This is why people say research research research. See patients in person, look at EVERY web result you can find, ect...It wasn't hard for me to find out some of these coalition docs wouldnt meet my standards and only a few would. I'm just sick of this victim mentality. Yes, you made a bad decsion, yes you want to stop others from the same, but lurking around a ht forum looking for every opportunity to say i told you so is counter productive. At this point we know where you both stand, so please dont bother to respond trying to further explain yourself, b/c I'm not listening.
  4. Even if FUE develops, I don't really see it becoming anything more than an adjunct to strip. Too much FUE will leave your donor area moth eaten, as opposed to a thin scar line that can be hidden with exisiting hair. I understand why you would be hesitant, but I think waiting around hoping for something better is just lost time since there are no gurantees. My point on linking this article was to show everyone that (while everyone used to say 5 years 5 years), the reality is things are getting close.

  7. http://hair-restoration-info.c...321004003#2321004003 i would also add that you would be in good hands with feller or hasson and wong. those are probably the top 3 docs in the world imo.
  8. IMO, shapiro does the best hairlines hands down. He has been invited by his peers every yr for the last 10 yrs or so at the International Hair Restoration conferences to perform live surgeries of the hairline. i think he even won the golden folicle award....you really need to research all this on your own instead of having me regurgitate all this for you. You are not ready for surgery until u do research. use the search engine and look at every single one of the doc's results posted. as far as feller, his new fue tool is top of the line. shapiro uses it i believe. the thing with fue is that u can forget about anything over 2000 graphs. Even up to say 2000, surgery will be spaced out over two days, and it is important to remember fue is not a replacement for strip. Since you need 4 zones covered, fue is not an option for you. Strip will be necessary and every doc here will tell you that. one last piece of advice, do more research!
  9. its all about using your limited number of graphs in the smartest way...i would contact hasson and wong or shapiro and see what they can do for you, it no good to dense pack 3000 plus graphs in the front third just to make thing look good right now. i would contact them asap for consultations and i would be willing to bet they could make you look ten times better.
  10. If that was me, i would be VERY disappointed and somewhat angry to be honest. That does not look natural to me and the density is well below average to put it nicely Some type of refund or partial money back is what i would request. Its disapointing that some coalition docs are continuing to turn out the types of results. At this point if I were you, I would contact someone like Hasson & Wong for a repair job, they might be able to move some of those graphs around as well as add some density via another surgery. They can develop a long term plan for you as far as graphs you have left and whatnot. Good luck
  11. stay away from armani...he will butcher your donor. i would reccomend hasson and wong out of the three u listed. they are world class but they dont do fue. if u are looking for fue, i would go to feller or shapiro.
  12. Much thanks Dr. Feller...when could be a reasonable time to expect pics of PRP results from you?
  13. Good info Dr. Feller, Three questions: 1) Dr. Greco mentioned all PRP is not equal and that if the Dr. is not trained properly it will not work. I assume you are using it the EXACT way Dr. Greco is? 2) Would getting PRP once a year suffice? The reason i ask that because a $600-700 treatment plus a plane flight is a lot of money for something that needs to be done more than once a year. I recall on that informational video Dr. Greco said the results lasted a year, but wanted to confirm that with you. 3)When could we possibly see this getting FDA approval for hair loss? Thanks!
  14. yep, just that hair characterisitcs play a big role. people get so caught up in graft counts but overlook a lot of other things. Obviously coarse thick hair is going to look better than thin light hair. I dont know who farrel is so cant comment there. Its fair to analyzed every picture as far as lighting, flash, angles, ect. However, I think picking apart every single result is counter productive. I agree with you that their are some so called top docs producing not good results. To be completely honest, I would only go to Shapiro Medical Group or Hasson & Wong for a procedure out of all the coalition docs, which says something I believe. I think these are the only two who are truly "world class" and world leaders. Dont get me wrong there are other coalition docs doing good work, but not consistently enough for me to feel good about going to them.
  15. lms...read this http://www.regrowhair.com/hair...-transplant-results/
  16. jotronic anyway you can answer my question above? dont see how a patient has 9 prior surgeries w/o doing any damage to the donor area and losing future graphs. 5000 left seems like an awful lot, just my opinion tho.
  17. You just posted this question below! stop flooding the forum with the same thread...yes they can be effective if you pick a good doc and have realistic expectations of what can be achieved. get on propecia right away and start scheduling some consultations with these docs. I would recommend shapiro medical group and hasson & wong, those two imo opinion do the best work out of any doc here. Dr feller is right there with those two, and he would be a great choice if you live right there. good luck
  18. looks good leeson, could o without the excessive use of the word dang tho, kinda freaking me out. anyway, i did have a question for you. how is it that you have had 9 surgeries already and still over 5000 graphs left? How has those micro/mini/fue graphs/strip surgeries not in some way affected the donor area? Just seems hard to believe. also what about future loss?
  19. could it be chronic TE? I mean I can even rub my eye lashes and get a hair or two every time.
  20. You cant blame your doc for this and imo you should commend him. People this young want to look like all their friends now but what u dont . understand is that this transplant lasts u for life and must be planned accordingly. there arent too many guys who have 20 yr old hairlines at age 40 or 50. if u looked so good with a shaved head then why did u go for a transplant in the first place?
  21. this is why its important to think about things before one goes into a procedure. I'm sorry but if people are complaining about their hair looking "thin" then im sorry u should have known before the procedure what could be realistically achieved. Put the blame on yourself and your doc. like they say, research research research
  22. Thanks Dr. Shapiro, As far as the itchiness goes I have no rash or anything like that (and there is still hair in these parts of the scalp minus the temples) and have tried to figure out and what the source may be but just can't. I guess I do have a bit dry and sensitive skin but it just seems weird to me that the spots that itch on my scalp are the spots I'm losing hair. Every time i run my hand through my hair i get a few hairs coming out. After taking a shower, while combing my hair an unusual amount of hair comes out. Hair consistantly falls out throughout the day. I also need to add that my hair over the past few years seems to has thinned a bit and gotten more coarse on the sides (I can also rub my hands on the sides and get lots of hair to fall there too). Not only that, but there are lots of grey hair popping up not only along the sides, but also a few on top of my head. To me this seems extremely weird given that I am only 25. I feel like something is wrong given all these factors put together. Could it be thyroid, hormonal, something else? Does your clinic perform biopsies and blood work and would you guys be able to diagnose if I have mpb or something else if I flew in for a consultation? hair loss is in my extended family but most of it is pretty subtle and there are definitely no cue balls. I'm just at a loss right now...
  23. how do u have so much donor left after 9 surgeries already? didnt some of those micro graphs and fue's damage the donor area? just hard to believe but if dr hasson says so then so be it.
  24. almost 4000 graphs for the front third?! It will look good but you better hope your loss is stable and that you dont have too much further loss. Good luck tho!
