  1. jfables, I have read about your poor experience and im sorry for that, but you can't take your case as an example since you did not go to "top clinics" Just reading about armani in this forum will give you a an idea of his bad work. believe me even if you had FUT with armani instead of FUE you would have still gotten the same poor results. Now there is always poor results for both FUT and FUE even with top surgeons, also there is some advantages and disadvantages to both. but again FUT was out way before FUE and up till now there are some top surgeons who are still not comfortable with FUE. the thing is if a surgeon is recommended and on top of his game in FUT that does not make him good in FUE and vice versa. I have consulted with different doctors online; some doubted the effectiveness of FUE, some tried to convince me to change my mind and go with FUT, and some sounded so confident with FUE that they guaranteed the success of the procedure with almost the same density that can be done with FUT. those are different opinions and views of real top clinics who are recommended on this site and have a great reputation. so if that tells you something it is that some doctors are comfortable in FUE and believes in it while others are firm believers of FUT. we can't doubt any of those doctors since they talk our of their experience. (you can search some FUE works with 3000+ grafts and you will see wonders). . In my opinion, the main advantage of FUT over FUE is that there are MANY outstanding doctors who can perform it while only few outstanding doctors for FUE. For me if i ever decide to do FUT i will defiantly choose a different doctor than the one im considering now for FUE because i really believe that being expert at one does not make you expert at the other.
  2. im worried about taking Propecia too because of the sexual side effects, this is the first time i hear about the cancer issue. but as some other people said, if you worried and have concerns then don't go into that path. try minoxidil if you want i think it has way less side effects.
  3. I had a consultation 3 days ago with a local non recommended dr. in town. he does FUE and FUT but he was so into FUT and trying to convince me to change my mind and go with FUT instead of FUE, he even went as far as telling me FUE scars will look way worst when you buzz to 0 (with no guards) than FUT scar. I would have respected his opinion if he talked about other advantages of FUT such as price, having more grafts in one session, or yields growth (which i believe should be similar in the hands of top doctors), but to say that FUE scars will look worst than FUT, this is too much!!
  4. I believe Dr. Bisanga is very good, and i have seen some excellent results from him. I have consulted with him online and to be honest the only thing i did not like is that he was trying to convince me to go with FUT even though i requested FUE from the beginning. As for me, Dr. Keser in Turkey is one of the best FUE doctors, also Dr. Dorin has decent results as well. choosing the doctor is the hardest thing to do and don't limit your choices because of the location. the problem you will face is that many doctors will try to convince you to go with FUT instead, this is why in my case since im choosing FUE, i'd rather go with a Dr. who specified only in FUE, a one who embrace it and believes in its results.
  5. i think my hair situation is worst than yours (specially the hairline) and they also told me i need almost the same number of grafts. you have to take under consideration that pictures could be deceiving and this is just a guesstimate. when you go for your HT the doctor will set with you and confirm the number of grafts needed and give you the accurate evaluation of your hair. IMHO Dr. Keser is one of the best in the world when it comes to FUE, so if you decide to go for the HT, you will defiantly be in good hands. im also considering an HT with him early next year hopefully. Good luck with whatever decision you take.
  6. is taking minoxidil by itself OK? would that work ? I don't think i will risk taking Finasteride now since im starting a new family and i don't wanna take the risk even if the sides only affects small percentage. but i think i can commit to Minoxidil like rogain foam.
  7. Thehairupthere , thanks for the update, the result looks amazing so far, please keep us updated, this is really an excellent job. Janna, thanks for the example, it really shows the different and i think you are right, FUE has advances in the past couple of years. so im glad that with top doctors we will not see a bad example like the one i posted earlier. NEWHAIRPLEASE, I know nobody wants to shave after an HT. but as you know male pattern baldness is progressive, and nobody knows what the future holds, so even after the HT, you might keep losing your native hair (even if you use medications) and of course you can do more HTs but again we all know that donor supply is limited so you might run out of grafts or out of budget , and in this case the only solution will be to shave or buzz and move on (if there is nothing else you can do about it due to lack of grafts or money). so in my opinion it's good to hope for the best but also plan for the worst. And you can take a look at hair loss forums and you will see many HT patients end up shaving even if they have scars since they got no other options.
  8. good topic, as many said, i think having a head full of hair is a plus of course, but if you bald and embrace it and work hard on other features like your body, dress, and personality it would get you around with hot women as well.... plus, hair is not everything, i mean you have other features on your face that counts as well.. you can find many not attractive men who have full head of hear and on the other hand you can find many bald men who have nice features that look really good.. look at some of the balding actors or those who shave, some of them look really good even though they got no hair and others are not attractive at all even with their amazing hair.. take Edward Norton for example, i think he looks way better with shaved head (american history x) than he looks with hair. at the end of the day, if you bad looking you bad looking regardless if you have a hair or not, and vice versa.
  9. what norwood scale are you? are you on any medications ? i think it's better to consult other top surgeons even if you are not planning to go abroad just to hear their opinion and compare it to the one you have.... maybe you will later be convinced and change your mind.
  10. Thanks for the link Levrais, that looks amazing.. i knew those pictures do not look right. since the scars are way big that i think they will be way noticeable even with level 1 or 2 buzz. I am not sure about the punch that was used but the guy says he had it back in 2006 somewhere in india. i think it all depends on who perform the FUE and the punch size which is being used.
  11. I ain't no expert and am not sure what 2000 would do for you, maybe they won't give you a really good density. but the thing you have to consider is that once you go strip you will not be able to buzz your hair down to 1 nor 2 guards because of the scar. so you have to wear your hair longer..... so it's up to you whether you wanna buzz it now and move on or go through strip and lose the option of buzzing it really short even if the outcome is not satisfactory. btw where did you have your previous FUE procedures ? im pretty surprised since i have seen many great doctors who perform FUE in an outstanding way.
  12. I was looking around for more pictures and examples and i came across those images of somebody who had FUE only. to be honest, this does not look good at all in my opinion, it may even look worst that the strip scar, since it's all over the head and it looks like a skin disease or something, please check the images and let me know what you think. Is this normal ? or maybe this was done long time ago when FUE started and nowadays FUE scars don't look like that any more
  13. 8000?? wow, that is impressive, do u know who did his HT? I have never seen anybody with FUE or FUT scars in person, but I think the good thing about FUE is that even if ppl notice some dots or whatever they might think that the way your skin is and not even view them as scars or think of HTs.
  14. thanks Thehairupthere, i think this will turn out to be great... looking forward to seeing the healing photos soon!!
  15. Dr. Dorin FUE work looks very good. do you have examples of 2500+ grafts ? i just wonder how would the donor area looks with a big number of grafts taken and would shaving be an option in the future.
  16. it looks really good in the pic, even at 7 days i don't think anybody can tell that he got HT, it does show some redness but i assume ppl will think that he just got some zits or whatever, but i don't think they can tell it's an HT. but again i wonder if it looks that good in real, as you know pictures can be deceiving. Thanks for this example, hope we can get more by other members. Regards,
  17. I'm not sure if this subject was brought up before, it is very common question, but unfortunately i don't seem to find any accurate answer neither here or on Google. Is there anybody here who shave their head after an HT (FUE or FUT "with improved scar either from laser treatment or FUE session") I really hope anybody can upload pictures so members of the community can see for themselves how would the FUT scar or FUE little dot scars look on a shaved head. I am sure most people when going through an HT, they want to enjoy their hair and never shave it, but let's face it, we have a limited donor supply, and medicines don’t work for everybody while losing hair is progressive, so some people would keep losing native hair and end up with no decision but to shave due to their limited donor supply or tight budget. Now if this happen, how would the scars look exactly, I wish I can hear from people who experience that, cause I don’t trust most of the photos I find on Google since anybody can play with them. Will appreciate the feedback from any FUE, FUT patient.
  18. I give credit to TM for admitting that they have not been successful in this case instead of trying to defend their work. Good luck with your next HT Albion. hope things work out well for you.
  19. " If patients are getting sued, doesn't anyone else think this should be info one has available in their decision stage?" i totally agree with you, and i believe the whole thing about patients being sued is ridiculous and pathetic. i just hope that not all doctors follow that approach!!
  20. Hey Bill, With all due respect but i believe deactivating corvettester's account is a big big mistake that is not even justified, he is free to say whatever he wants as long as he does not call people names and insult them. i saw him alot commenting on topics with bad results and it's not his mistake that Dr. Feller has alot of them recently. yes he was against Dr. feller on this thread but he wasn't the only one, actually some members even went far to asking people to never go to Dr. Fellers ever again and they were not banned (which i believe it is right because this is freedom of speech and they are stating their opinions). To be honest, after reading this thread thoroughly, i believe the only one deserved being banned and deleted is Dr. Feller himself. he is the only one who was calling people (jessie) names such as sick, liar, and threaten of suing him, and also insulting almost all of his unsatisfied patients accusing them of having agendas by trying to get free surgeries, without even caring about their loss and feelings. let's face it, all of those unsatisfied patients believed in Dr. Feller and choose him over lots of other qualified and professional doctors in the fields and paid lots of money for their procedures only to be disappointed not only by the outcome but by the attacks they got from Dr. Feller in a very unprofessional way that i have never seen any doctor doing it, im only saying that so Dr. Feller understand that those people do not hate him, as a matter of fact they had great respect for him at first which made them choose him and put their faith in him, so he should respect their opinions instead of calling them liars and attacking them and threaten to suit them. let's face it, in all of Dr. Fellers "bad results" topics, corvettester was not the only one against him, actually people who were attacking Dr. Feller were way more than those who were defending him. I just had to say what i believe to be the right thing even though i know that i might be banned as well (which i hope not), and i hope that this forum embrace the freedom of speech and let people express their feelings freely without being afraid of getting banned. I hope you reactivate corvettester account, and im sure im not the only one in this forum who hopes so. i am against banning anybody for saying their opinions but again if there is somebody who deserve that it in this topic it sure wasn't corvettester. Thanks,
  21. OK, here is the thing, I am considering a FUE in the near future. I have been reading a lot of posts in this forum regarding FUE, and many suggest Dr. Feller and list him as one of the best doctors to go to when it comes to FUE. To be honest, After reading this post thoroughly, I don't see how Dr. Feller is being recommended for this kind of surgery because to me it seems like he himself does not believe in it and has doubts about the outcome. Not only him, but according to jessie, also Dr. Feller's consultant (Spex) believes that the success of FUE depends on LUCK!!!!! I have contacted some of the other recommended surgeons who perform FUT and FUE and they assure me that the outcome of both will be similar and the density will actually be almost the same, the only difference is that in FUT one day session will be enough, while in FUE i need 2 or 3 sessions (2 to 3 days) to complete the job since there is a limited number of grafts they can extract in each session. also of course the FUE will cost much more. So based on that, i believe Dr. Feller should only be recommended for FUT (which he might be excellent at) but not FUE. people who are looking to perform FUE are looking for a doctor that believes he can get the same result like FUT specially since they will be paying way extra for that. Regards,
  22. so once you start balding, if you don't use medication would you keep losing hair till you reach norwood 6 or 7 ? or is it possible to just stop losing hair even without using medications ? The reason i ask is because i see many people who is half bald, which means their hairline starts from the middle of their head (they lost their hair line and the front but they still have the middle backward), i hope im making since because i don't know the right words for that, so many of those people would just stay like that even when they age, and i don't think all of them are using medications. so is there away where someone can check whether they will lose the rest of their hair and become norwood 6 or 7, or they they will keep what they have ? would doctors be able to check on that ? or there is no way to check and you can only wait and see ?
  23. I have seen many great results of Dr. Keser and he is currently on the top of my list, since im considering doing FUE as well and i prefer a surgeon who embrace this technique and not somebody who can do it but still recommend me to do FUT. The main thing I like about his work is the density he provides with fewer amounts of grafts. However, I am still looking whether anybody had bad experience with him or not. I hope we get more feedback from people who actually did their HT with him, because so far I haven’t seen any bad results coming from him nor anybody complaining about his work. and it's always better to hear directly from people who been through the HT than just watching youtube videos and seeing before and after photos, so i really hope that we can get more feedback on him.
  24. sorry to hear about your problem at your young age. I am no expert but if i were in your place i would do the following: start shaving my head and use rogaine to maintain what I have, till im ready for HT or they find a cure for baldness (which might be in the next 10 years). Work out hard, since people with shaved heads and NICE bodies do attract girls,... and by doing that you will feel good about your self and your body will give you the confident that your hair was once taking away from you....
