  1. is HST technique not supposed to leave any scar in the donor area ? (not even the fue white dots) ? which means that someone who done it can shave his head with no visible HT signs at all ????
  2. Dr. Gho might be the real deal, but the problem is you can't see much of his results online and even you cant find enough info about HST technique as well. The question is, if the claim of providing unlimited donor supply (witch i hope is true) then how come not everybody is talking about it ? If this is the case then it's a game change and it's what people been waiting for for years.
  3. Also, if yo're not planning to wear your hair long at all, you might consider BHT for hairline. This way you can shave or buzz your hair with any grade without any scaring or white dots at all. That is one of the options im considering as well...
  4. Great video, that really sum it all.. Losing hair sucks.. It's depressing as hell and we all here to do something about it. Im just like you, thinking to go the HT path without taking meds cause of the possible side effects and the fact that you have to take them forever, which in my openion, any drug no matter how safe it is will create some side effects on the long run. One thing i kinda disagree with though, in my case i never went to gym or worked out when i had my hair because i was just confident. Losing my hair took away that confident and made me wanna do anything to feel a little better, and that's when i started working out and now i beleive im in the best shape in my life so far, which gave me some confident in that area but still not like the one i had with full head of hair. Actually i think there is more bald people workout regularly than ppl who are not balding cause they despretly wanna do anything to give them some confidence (just my observation though)
  5. Hi Azazelgs, I am kinda looking for the same thing, a FUE to buzz my hair. I am doing alot of reasearch regarding that and i beleive it's doable and could be done with great results if done by a professional doctor. Since you are from turkey, why don't you consult with Dr. Keser ? I have seen only great results by him, he uses manual punch size 7.00 to 9.00 which is ideal for minima scars (just what we need to buzz the hair short). There are many other qualified doctors in europe and north america who are good with FUE, but i beleive face to face consultation is much better than online consultation since pictures don't alwys reflect the real hair situation (cause of light condition, flash, pic quality,etc..). so that's why if i were you, i would go for a face to face consultation with Dr. keser, and also send my pics to couple of qualified doctors in europe as wll and then you can decide how you wanna do this. btw, are you planning to take meds (propecia and rogain) or no ??
  6. I was thinking if i went to 2500-3000 FUE for now and then i lost my native and decided to buzz it grade 0. Even if the FUE scars show on the back (which most ppl will not think of HTs when they see them) i might still look better with a (decent front area and hairline with fue scars) than with (no hairline and bad front area without fue scars at all (no HT option). What do you guys think ?
  7. Hello, As the title says, im planning to do a FUE this year and thinking to only take rogain post the surgery? Is that considered a bad idea ? Is taking propecia a must to prevent native hairlose or would rogain do the job? Thanks,
  8. Thank pupdaddy. I went to a local ht dr. here who only do FUT. he told me that i have a very good donor area and that can handle 4 FUT surgeries. My question is would the same thing apply for FUE ? Like can you have a good donor for FUT that is not that good for FUE ? Or i can take this doctor's word and consider my donor very good for FUE as well ?
  9. Yeah i still dont't get it but i hope this thing really works. The only thing that gives me hope about this is that this surgery was advertised by dr. Wesely who has a great reputation and he's one of the recommended drs in here, so i don't think he would risk ruining his credibility by advertising something like that unless he really has faith in it.
  10. Hi Pupdaddy, I think you right, we should be able to work something out between the proposed hairline and the shadowed one. I just thought that the proposed one was way too much conservative. The scareless HT sounds too good to be true. If this will really work and will leave no scars at all as promoted! then nothing will hold me back from getting an HT right away even if i decide not to take meds knowing that i will have the option to shave my head to 0 grade with no scars showing at all. But do you think this thing will really work ? I hope it does because this will make a revolution in the HT world just as the FUE did when it first came out.
  11. I was thinking maybe something like that (the black shadow at the beggining) ..
  12. Thanks all for your feedback. as per the info collected (Dr. Keser uses punch sizes as small as 0.7mm to 0.9mm, and also Dr. Umar uses punches less than 0.9mm. As for meds, i know some people who suffered terrible side effects using propecia an they had to quit for like a year to kina get back to normal (according to them). I really believe that everything we take in our body would have a side effect, if not now, maybe in the future. and i know that if i start with propecia, i should stick with it FOREVER which kinda scares me (even if it does not affect my sex drive now, it might slow it down in the future before it was supposed to slow down without the med) and that's something i really don't wanna mess with. would rogain foam be enough?? i somehow feel more comfy applying this since it's an external thing. I have contacted different doctors online and each gave me a different answer. one told me that for now i need 2500 graft to have a decent front coverage and then i should use rogain for my crown. another doctor told me that i need 3000 graft for now and maybe up to 8000 in the near future and was convincing me to go for FUT instead of FUE to have a good coverage. otherwise FUE will not give me a good coverage. he also proposed a very conservative hairline which i did not like at all.. I am reasonable and im not looking for aggressive hairline. as a matter of fact i have always had a wide forehead and i don't mind it all all, so i don't care much about lowering the hairline but the one he proposed i didn't like at all. I have attached the photo for your comments. He proposed 2 hairlines (the red and white line) and i really don't like them both. do you guys think i can have a better hairline (im not asking to lower it, im just concerned about the design of it). Thanks again..
  13. Thanks for the reply Spex. Actually i have been doing that for the last 5 years but the hairline is really bothering me and i think about it all the times. I am not saying that i will keep shaving my head after the FUE. in fact i would like to grow my har and enjoy the feeling of having hair. But my point was if down the road i kept losing hair i can either go for other HTs or buzz it and i would still have my face framed. I am a bit concerned about the FUE scars but i have seen many results where scars are not visible on grade 1. I beleive even if some of the FUE scars are showing still most people will not really think you had an HT and will not pay much attention to them (not like the strip scar) . As for the clinic it would be either dr. Keser or dr. Umar. As i beleive the tool they use is very small which leads to minimal scars.
  14. It has been a while since i wrote here. I have been thinking about my hair situation and i think im ready to do something about it. The only thing which was holding me back is taking meds because of the possible side effects which i don't even wanna risk. I have been shaving my head with clipper for years and i think it looks OK on me, the only thing which is really bothering me is the hairline as it's almost gone (my hair is kind of ok from the middle section backward). So i beleive my best option would be to go for FUE to fix the front part and have a reasonable hairline (not so dense) and then even if i dont take meds and start loosing more hair from the existing ones, i can buzz my hair and would still look better than now because of the hairline (even if the area from the middle backward started to bald) it wont really bother me with a buzzed hair since the hairline will frame my face and the area behind it wont be that noticible with grade 1. I am 30 years old and i have been shaving my head since i was 24. What do you guys think about the approach im heading to ? Does it make any sense.. Please let me know your openion.
  15. I do agree with your point, while im against hair systems in general, but if you already have a partner who knows you as you are, and you both agree on this hair system thing, then it could be a little more acceptable. you will still get comments from other people no matter what though.
  16. Actually i know many guys who go for that look, it's very common here specially for those who work out and have nice bodies. I know buzzing your head while you have a nice hairline is better than buzzing it while you don't, but still if you would look nice buzzed with a hairline, most probably you would look nice buzzed with receding hairline, maybe not as good, but still good enough.
  17. having a hair piece might makes you look good (it might even look better than your native hair) but putting on a hair piece will make you more depressed and feeling even older, you'll always feel fake and afraid that people around you find out about it, which most likely they will (at least some of them), and if they ever do, they will never stop making fun of you. Putting on a hair piece is deceiving, it might help you go out with girls at first, but believe me, once they find out about it they will leave you right away, you will look fake, old, and self conscious in their eyes. In my opinion, if you are a good candidate for HT the go for it... but that's ONLY if it can give you a good density... i have problem with people going for HTs just to add some hair on, while they get really bad density and they still look BALD. If you are not a good candidate for density then maybe you can try to buzz your head, and work on other features to improve your look, like growing your goatee and going to the gym and getting a lean body. buzzing or shaving your head will male you look your age or even younger if you work out on your body. at least, this way when you go out with a girl, you are being yourself and not hiding behind a hair piece that you know once she finds out about it and she will, most likely she will dump you on the spot. You can go ahead and search what girls think about men who put on hair pieces, and i'll guarantee you that u'll never even think about doing it.
  18. one more point i'd like to say, if your hair is thinning or you have some bald spots, JUST SHAVE or BUZZ your hair, all of it.. unless you decide to have a hair transplant. actually ppl who buzz their hair and let their goatee grow or have a dirty look with kinda short beard looks way cooler than people who live denial and who is balding and trying to hide or just keep hair on the sides and back while they got nothing on top. also work on your body, your body matters and many hot women prefer to be with a bald man who got nice body rather than being with a fat man with a head full of hair. so it's all about how do you take care of yourself, unfortunately many men when they start to bald they bring themselves down and think they ugly so they stop taking care of themselves, they stop dressing nice or working on their body and they keep whatever they have left from their hair long which makes them look like 10 years older than they are.
  19. I believe more than 1-2% face sexual issues with propecia, just search topics in this forum and other forums and you will be surprised at the number of people facing those issues, maybe the majority of those people face minor side and not severe ones, but in my opinion 1 to 2% is not accurate (i could be wrong though). i would like to believe that propecia is safe to use and only 1 to 2% have issues with it, but taking a look on hair loss forums and hearing directly from people who tried it before, i just can't agree with that statistics (unless if people make up stories to scare ppl away). I am about to start a family and i just can't risk being one of those who face the sides specially that some people never recover completely even after quitting. Actually this issue is what is making me so hesitant to step a foot into the HT world.... but im planning to try rogain foam and see how this gonna workout for me.
  20. You said it yourself, he was training, when i talk about Dr. Bisanga work, i mean in the current time, i never said he was good back then when he was training or had no real experience. Good Doctors keep improving, and if you look back to any FUT top doctor back when he was training im sure you will not see the same results they accomplish today. Now i don't know who is that Dr. who trained Dr. Bisanga and many other FUE docs, but it seems like he's not that famous. but anyways, that doesn't really matter because in many cases trainees could become better than their trainers. This bring us back to my previous point, being a top surgeon at FUT does not make you good at FUE by default. Armani was good at FUT yes (specially when it comes to hairlines). However, he was NEVER good at FUE, you can go ahead and search his name on most hair loss forums and im sure your are not gonna like what you read. Seeing couple of FUT & FUE patients of his in person is useless since he will only point you to his top results, and even the worst doctor could have some good results, as they say "even a broken clock is right twice a day". My point here is, don't blame the FUE blame for Armani's failure, he gets all the blame. Armani should have stuck with FUT, simple because he is not good at FUE. Being the first to perform the FUE does not make you the best. Also inventing FUE tools is not a big deal really. many doctors have done that such as Dr. Devroye, Dr. Harris, Dr. Keser, etc..... so just because a doctor makes his own tool does not make him the best. As a matter of fact if you search Dr. Feller in this forum, you will find some bad results from him for both FUE and FUT (even though he is considered one of the best FUT doctors), so there is always a possibility of bad results whether the technique is FUE or FUT. OF course we shouldn't brush Dr. Feller off so easily and we should respect his own opinion, but at the same time we shouldn't brush other top doctors so easily just because they believe in FUE. Believe me im very skeptical when it comes to HTs in general, I have read so many and done my research and this is why FUE is my best option so far so that if things go wrong i have the option to buzz and move on, I have seen some FUT and FUE results from top surgeons who turned out to be nightmares, i guess nothing is guaranteed and there is always a risk, so it's good to always hope for the best and plan for the worst. i still think FUT is great and it has advantages as I listed before, and nobody can deny the fact that there are more qualified and experienced doctors who perform FUT than there are for FUE. Having said that, I believe we should not doubt the FUE as well. if you look back, most doctors did not believe in FUE at all when it first came out, but years later they changed their mind, and many top rated FUT doctors started to learn the FUE technique and use it, you can take Dr. Rahal, who just recently started doing FUE, as an example.
  21. MGZ, it's all up to you if you wanna get into the HT world at this age, but i believe 24 is too young for an HT IMHO. but i agree that with an HT you can buy some more time with more hair but you have to be extra careful and think about the consequences so that you don't end up regretting it later on. I had a similar case, my hairline started receding when i was 24 and ever since i started to buzz my hair with a trimmer (no guards), I am 29 now, and to be honest i never thought about my hair during the last 5 years, i did not even know that such forums existed (buzzing your hair feels way better than having bald spot all over your head). Now, im considering an HT just because im kinda bored with the buzzed style and i really miss my hair and i want the option to wear it long, but even though im 29, some doctors are asking me to take very conservative approach since balding is progressive and i have to plan this right, right the first time. You only have few options in my opinion; to use hair concealers which is a temporary solution, buzz your hair for now till you old enough for HT, or go with an HT. If you decided to go with the last option, then both of the doctors you choose are GREAT. However, If i wanted to do strip, I'll probably go with Dr. Rahal. Good luck...
  22. so let's say somebody is aiming toward that look (defined hairline and temple), wouldn't it be better to do BHT (use beard hair or body hair) instead of FUE, and then have the option to buzz it as short as 0 guard. I know that hair body does not have the same quality as donor hair but if the person is planning to keep it buzzed and he only aims to frame his face, would body hair look that bad, i don't know but i feel like with buzzed hair maybe the quality of hair does not really matter as long as the hairline and temple have the good defined look. Im only saying that because i read many people on different forums aiming for that look but afraid that the FUE scars would not let them buzz as short as they want... what do you guys think ???
  23. IMHO if you wanna do it in the states then Dr. Shapiro or Dr, Dorin. if you wanna do it over seas then Dr. Bisanga or Dr. Keser. As for me, my top choice when it comes to FUE is Dr. Keser, since he is specialized in FUE and that is the only thing he has been doing since 2003 (he does not perform FUT at all). anyways, you have a short list of highly qualified Doctors now, take your time and search each one of them carefully and hopefully you will make the right decision.
  24. jessie1, I read about your bad experience.. it's really up to you whether you wanna go for another FUE or switch to FUT, but whatever you device just make sure to take your time and search the doctor that is good for the HT method you choose. your hair still looks good and im sure with a good doctor your issues will be easily fixed.
  25. jfables, that's exactly my point, i read what Dr. Feller had to say about FUE and that is his opinion. I had a consultation with Dr. Melike from Transmed center and their consultant made it clear to me that i can get the same density with FUE or FUT and they did not try to push me to go with FUT even though i need around +2000 grafts. The way i see it is that both doctors are recommended here, but one believes in FUE the other don't. i don't have top 5 FUE doctors on my list, but again i don't have top 5 FUT doctors as well. i have a short list of 2 to 3 for each technique. You can search FUE results by Dr. Keser from Turkey and Dr. Bisanga from Belgium and let me know what you think.
