  1. Thanks guys, i think i will do that for the meantime till im ready for the HT, i believe this option would be good even if i don't go for HT since buzzing your hair while having some hair on top looks still better than buzzing it while there is no hair at all in the crown and vertex area. One more thing, i read alot about rogaine and some people say that if you use it and then quit you will lose even more hair than you used to lose before using it, but some other people say you will only lose the hair that grew because of it, but your native hair lose might progress but on the same level that was before using rogaine (NOT MORE). on other words, if i use rogaine and quit, would i experience more native hair lose than im experiencing now ???? (even though right now my hair is kinda thin from the crown and vertex but im not experiencing any visible hair lose) but I want to use the rogain to thicken my hair and keep what I have. Please let me know your opentions.
  2. Hello everybody, I am considering an HT in the future, but im not sure if im ready for it this year.. my hair line is almost gone and i would like to keep shaving my head with trimmer until im ready for the HT. but meanwhile, i really do not want to lose any hair on the crown and vertex since they already thin, and would like to try to thicken them or at least keep what i have for now till i go for my HT. my question is can i use Rogaine Foam on shaved head ? like can i keep shaving my head and applying the foam on a daily basis, would that keep that i have and maybe make it more thick or it is useless and i have to keep whatever have i have long in order to use the foam or liquid ? your reply is highly appreciated.
  3. thanks for the reply.. you are right, but i was thinking that maybe there is different types of balding.. sometimes i see ppl who lost all of their hairs except the sides and backs but also i see some people (from all ages) who lost the front of their hairs only (the hairline starts from the middle of their heads) and they still have the rest of the hairs. so im not sure if i could be one of those people which i wish i can confirm, so that i can get HT for the front of my hair without worrying about losing the rest of the native hair.
  4. Hello, I started losing hair like 7 years or 8 years ago (when i was 22 or 23), anyways. since i was 24 i have been shaving my hair as short as possible using a trimmer. I have been doing that regularly for like 5 years, so i never noticed any hair lose during that time since i was already shaving. now i decided to let my hair grow and bit since im considering an HT, of course my hair line is a mess and the front of my hair is bad, but from the middle back ward (crown) it's not bad. I try to scratch my hair hard on the shower or on the sink but i never see any hairs falling or sticking to my hands, does that mean my hair lost stopped? what is the best way to confirm whether im still losing hair or not ? im not on medications at all nor foam. can somebody please let me know..... P.S my crown area ain't that thick and I think it thined too if you compare it to the time before I started shaving. But I don't see my hair falling any more!!
  5. are the pictures i posted good for online consultation with doctors ? or should i use a better cam with flash and all
  6. Thanks Cardel... i see your point, i have been buzzing down my hair for a while, which actually looks pretty good on me from the front view (but i hate the profile because of my nose, which i never had issues with back when i used to wear my hair long), as you know having long hair covers those stuff. so im not happy with that and i really wanna do something about it, either have an HT or a nose job (and live the rest of my life happy with buzzed hair). HT is a better option for me since it's restoring your own hair without changing who you are, i never thought of having a nose job since i was always against those plastic surgeries procedures, but I really wanna do something about my overall look, so I hope the HT option works out for me.
  7. Thanks for the reply guys. I am still debating whether to go on meds or not. actually as per my readings, the sexual effects (at least to some degree) seem to apply on MANY ppl who using those meds (not just small percentage) and there are even topics on this forum where people state their experience and talk about the effect they faced and the lack of sex drive they had while on them, some of them recovered after quitting but some of them did not go back to normal even after quitting them, and to me that is something I really don’t wanna play with (it’s more important than hair to me J ) This is why I asked for AVOGAIN MINOXIDIL %2 or %5 because I read some doctors suggesting using it after the HT to keep the existing hair (not growing back any of the old hair though, only maintain the remaining ones) As per the FUE, i have seen some perfect results to some cases like mine done by good Drs as BHR in Belgium or Keser in Turkey. and they results were very professional with great coverage and density. And this is actually what made me think of doing it, I know it costs more, but I don’t mind that as long as it will give me the freedom to buzz my head in the future. I don’t mind to go through another operation after couple of years if needed if that option will make me avoid meds.
  8. Would using AVOGAIN MINOXIDIL %2 or %5 would be OK instead of fin ? I have heard that it has less side effects and you just apply it to the hair instead of taking pills.
  9. If you ever plan to do an HT at this age and take the risk, just make sure that you go for FUE. just to be in the safe side if you need to go back buzzing your hair in the future. I have been doing alot of research on FUE and have seen impressive results. My favorite doctors for FUE are: Dr. Keser from Turkey and Dr. Bisanga from Belgium. I know how you feeling as im going through the same process of deciding whether to go for HT or not and it's confusing as hell.
  10. Hello Guys, I am now thinking seriously of doing an HT (FUE since i want the option of buzzing my hair short once in a while). I have attached some photos for your review, as per your knowledge and experience, around how many grafts I may need??? I am a 29 years old, and the attached pictures were taking with my iphone cam (no flash) but under light (sun or lamp), which Norwood scale i am ????? I am not on any medication right now because of all the side effects that may apply to some ppl (even though it's only around 2% who go through the effects but i don't wanna risk it at least for now since im about to start a family), so if i do an HT would my native hair hold up ? and in the future if it starts failing can i do other HTs ? please let me know your opinions? Edit: BTW, i always shave my hair (with trimmer). but i haven't shaved for 4 weeks only to take those pics, so those pics are taking within that period of time. Thanks,
  11. im considering a FUE as well, and my best options so far are Dr Keser or Dr Bisanga...
  12. Hi Gaza, As per my research. Dr. Keser is the best FUE dr. in Turkey and one of the best in the world. I am really considering a FUE as well, and if i make up my decision i will definitely do it with Mr. Keser. The thing is im 29 and im afraid that if i go for HT, by the time my transplanted hair start to grow i lose more of the native hair ... since im not gonna be using medicine because of the side effects that apply to some ppl, and i will be making family soon so i don't wanna risk it. Thanks,
  13. can you shave your head really short with FUE ? like with trimmer (0 or 1) ?? or there would be little scars (dots) showing all over your head ?? and can i use my body hair for FUE ?
  14. im not an expert but i can tell that ur hair looks pretty good shaved. it's not east to hide the scar in the future, and if you go for HT now you will defiantly keep lose more hair in the coming few years, where you will have 2 options: 1) Start shaving again where the scar will be your worst nightmare and ppl will be looking weird at you, you will reach the point where you wish to go back to the time before your HT, believe when it comes to shaving, living with no hair line is much better than living with a big scar on the back of your head. 2) Go through other HT (which you won't have much supply if you go for 5k grafts now). My suggestion for you would be to either wait for couple of years whee things will be more visible, or if you have to go through HT then do FUE, at least if things go wrong you can start shaving (BTW even with FUE if you shave too short like 0 or 1 most likely the scars will be visible) but they are like small dots, that you can live with and ppl won't really notice them unless they really pay alot of attention). My hair line is much much worst than yours and im considering FUE, i might do it in turkey with Dr. Keser, he is specialized with FUE and his results looks great, but im still confused whether to go for it or wait, im 28 btw.
  15. thanks Dutch! so anybody in this forum had FUE with Mr. Keser? how can i even make online consultation with him ? Regards,
  16. Thanks dutch for the reply, im aware of the safe zone issue with dr. keser, but they stated that it is the exception not the rule, and i will make sure before i proceed that im not one of those exceptions otherwise i would reconsider it. thanks to this forum, it gives you alot of knowledge to proceed. what do you mean of the FUE route? would that mean keep going through FUE HT every time i loser more ? would that even be possible, im afraid that at later stage i would run out of donor hair, where i have no option but to shave my head. also i heard from some ppl that i could use spray instead of pills to keep my native hair there and that would not effect any sexual ability or have any side effects, is that true ? Regards,
  17. Hi everybody, I am new to participate this forum even though i have been reading it for while.. Im almost 29 years old and have been losing my hairline specially and the front area for a while. i have been shaving my head with trimmer (0) for the part 5 years which is fine with me since im one of those lucky people who look OK with shaved head (except the fact that my nose does not go with shaved head, specially from the sides, so if i decided to not go for HT, i will just go for nose job and live happy with my bald head ) However, im really considering HT since im sick of shaving every other day. but im so hasetate to move forward with that for the following reasons: 1) i will not be taking meds because of all the side effects i read about specially that im looking to build a family soon, and i don't want to risk anything. 2) Mainly my balding area is from the front and hair line, from the middle of my head there is hair if i keep it it will grow i guess , however, im afraid after doing the HT i will lose the rest of my hair from the middle backward and then i would not even be able to shave it so short with a trimmer even if use FUE (since it still leaves a scar) and if i did HT and starting to bald more and decided to go back to shaving then i would like to shave as short as possible to cover that im balding as much as i can. 3) If i go for HT it will be FUE for sure, because even though it leaves small scars if i shave in the future, but at least someone can live with that instead of going FUT and have the scar line (no matter how thin it is) 4) If i go for FUE i will go with Dr. Keser (i already did my research and he is the best suitable option for me in terms of location and FUE results). I have contacted Dr. Keser through the website around 5 days ago but there is no reply, and there is no option for online consultation or reservation in the site. so if anybody knows please let me know how can i get in touch with him and send him my concerns and then reserve for HT if i decided to go for it. Please let me know your thoughts regarding my concerns. and thanks again for this great forum.
