  1. I recent had a HT at SMG from Dr. Paul Shapiro. Everything seems well. On the 7th day most of my scabs on the recipient area were gone - I guess I heal fast. The density is a little less than I had hope, but Dr. Paul and I had discussed this before the HT because I was limited in donor area. On the 10th day - hair look fine, same density. On the 11th day - after I took a shower, I notice my recipient area looks a lot less dense than day 10. I hear that a person is supposed to shed around 3 weeks after surgery. I just want someone to reassure me that I am just shedding early. Thanks
  2. I made an appointment at SMG, and I thought I had made an appointment with Ron. It turns out that the appointment is actually with Paul. What are your thoughts on Paul's techniques for FUE and hairline? I'm really considering not getting a HT now that the situation has changed
  3. I'm thinking about combining these two with my proscar. I was wondering if anyone new how much mg to take of each daily.
  4. I was curious on what product everyone is using, and how it is working for them. Thanks
  5. I'm taking the dive in January. My only concern is what my clinic sales guy, Matt said to me. Matt said that the survival rate of FUE is not has high as STRIP - roughly 80-100%, where as STRIP is 95-100. Matt said that it's possible that I might need another transplant in the future to cover density, but it's possible one is sufficient. What your opinion on this? Are there people out there that are happy with the results with one procedure? Or is it their selling tactic to give you short of grafts, and require you to go in for another transplant?
  6. I saw a clip of him on youtube. Apparently, he did transplant for a news anchor guy. I guess it looks alright. I called his office for a price per graft FUE. It's $10,000 for the first 500 grafts, and $10 for any additional grafts. Talk about expensive, that $20 a graft.
  7. okay. I've decided on a few different doctors. Shapiro, Feller, and Harris. What are your guys' opinion on each doctor. Note - I want FUE
  8. I'm new to the forums, but I've been reading here and there for over 5 years now. I started receding at the age of 21. I am turning 30 this year. I need help finding a doctor that is familiar with asian hair. I am also concerned about a natural hairline too. Though I am 30, I look as though I am in my early 20's, so I would like a hairline that matches my appearance. Currently, I am at the Norwood 2 scale. My hair looks like it's stablized all around except the hairline area. I am currently on proscar. Thanks everyone for helping.
