  1. Looking good so far. You should start to see hairs popping through soon, that's why you're seeing those pimples. Around 7 months is when you will start to see a dramatic change, and a full year to 15 months is the final result.
  2. I would say that's too early to be doing weight lifting. Returning to jogging and cardio is ok once the grafts are secure, but you do risk having the scar stretch that early. I would say 2 weeks at the earliest. Again like I said you'll hear many different answers.
  3. This is a subject where you'll hear different answers about what time is best. Personally I believe everyone is different in terms of which time is best because everyone's scalp laxity is different. If you are still feeling tightness in the scar area then I would recommend giving it a few more weeks. For many people one month is enough time, but sometimes it's best to wait around 2 months with heavy weights. Also you can tell if you feel discomfort and extra tension in the back of your head while working out, so that could be your gauge. Use your best judgement.
  4. There is no way to avoid a scar with any surgery today be it FUT or FUE. FUT leaves a small linear scar that can stretch from ear to ear and it's difficult to notice unless you keep your hair buzzed to a #3 or lower on a razor. FUE leaves small white dots which are scars that develop from the small punches that are made to remove the grafts, and they are extremely difficult to notice even if you shave to a #1 on a razor. You can see results by doing a search or by going to the recommended doctors websites and seeing examples of scars. If you go with a recommended doctor you're in good hands when it comes to the scar quality. Sometimes though it is not entirely up to the doctor, but the quality of your skin and the tightness you have naturally that could cause it to stretch more than others. You should also avoid exercise for a few weeks as it could cause stretching as well.
  5. From the photos you posted it seems as if you only need a relatively small procedure and FUE can be used to do this. The price points you mentioned are not normal for FUE it's closer to what FUT (strip) goes for. For FUE you should expect the price to be anywhere from $8-$11 per graft depending on the doctor. I'm not familiar with any doctors in that area you mentioned who are known for FUE so you may have to travel to get this done properly. Try and get some online consultations by sending the doctors these photos and some more of your donor area and they will be able to give you their opinion.
  6. Propecia is not needed to help your transplanted hairs grow they should grow normally anyway, the medication is good for the rest of your native hair which can fall out over time. Send some photos to recommended doctors to get their opinion on the next steps. Dr. True and Dr. Dorin both perform FUE and online consultations if you'd like their opinions.
  7. The scar from surgery in the back of your head should not be noticeable as that hair in most people will not thin out. If your doctor is saying that you will experience thinning in the donor area than you are not a good candidate in my opinion. Also 80-90 grafts per square centimeter is very high especially if you're already concerned with graft amounts in your donor area. If you are noticing thinning in the donor area you should use rogaine and propecia to help regrow that area and keep what you have. Try to get some other opinions from other recommended doctors from the forum. You can either visit them in person or see if they have online consultations.
  8. Don't worry you have a long way to go. The hairs should only start to come out around the time you are currently, but many people only start to see it growing around 4 months and you're about 3 1/2 months currently. At that stage you won't see much so you will really see the results coming in well around 7 months. Hang in there.
  9. Using rogaine and propecia is a long term solution as opposed to only doin the procedure. Medication will prevent further hair loss and using it in conjunction with surgery will give you optimal results. If you do not use meds you may very well bald much more severely than you are currently. Consult with a doctor to get some idea of what they expect you to lose in the future.
  10. It means insurance will not cover any costs for this procedure, so if that's what you had in mind don't buy any
  11. Not sure about the UK but here insurance is not accepted because its an elective cosmetic procedure.
  12. Rogaines effects don't begin until after 6 months so you still have some time before noticing any positive changes. You may also want to look into propecia as it tends to work better than rogaine for most people. From your photo I'm not sure you're a surgical candidate because you may have the possibility of getting shock loss in the area but this needs to be determined in person, so see a recommended surgeon from the forum and see what they say. Any clinic here would do crown restoration.
  13. Your hairline is becoming mature which is normal to begin noticing at your age. This doesn't necessarily mean you will continue losing more hair but you can take some preventative medication to help keep as much as possible. Rogaine foam and propecia are the most effective meds in the market but consult with a recommended doctor from this forum to see if you are a good candidate for them and what else you can expect in the future. It is normal to see a few hairs falling out when you brush your hair this doesn't mean those hairs are permanently ton, but rather just broken hairs which happens all the time.
  14. He said "when it comes to ethics and patient care Feriduni wins". Stating that a doctors ethics are not on par with others in the same field is a serious accusation. People post about their experiences and we can only see what their results are, so saying I prefer his work over his is fine, but to say such specific details about a doctors practice can only come from first hand experience and even then you can't make such broad assumptions. No one is bullying or belittling anyone his statement was harsh and unacceptable especially because it seems like it was said without any real proof or with genuine knowledge of his practice.
  15. Are you insinuating that Dr. Bisanga has poor patient care and has poor ethical judgement? What are their ethical differences? Why do you say his patient care is worse? You really should choose your words more wisely as you have on numerous occasions insulted good doctors.
  16. Stop taking the medication if you're experiencing the side effects and consider using rogaine instead. You can always try again in a few months to see how you react and if it continues than do not use again.
  17. It's never a must to use propecia or rogaine after a ht but both are very helpful in preventing further hair loss and will provide you with a better overall result. Propecia tends to produce better results but rogaine is still a very good alternative and worth using both or at least one of them in the long run.
  18. It's hard to say without seeing any photos because if it's a small area than you may not need a large session. You may get less grafts if you've had a procedure previous to this one because of scalp laxity as well as the scar that developed which would reduce the amount of grafts you can get.
  19. Density varies depending on the area you work on typically on average it's about 40 or slightly more grafts per square centimeter. If you were to have 40 and get less than 20 per square centimeter than something is wrong; that kind of survival rate is very rare from the recommended doctors on this forum.
  20. Don't worry at this stage hair shedding is normal especially when washing. You should see this continue for a few weeks.
  21. Too early for surgery but you can see very good results with propecia and rogaine to stop the thinning and possibly regrow dormant hairs. You should try these two or one year and reevaluate.
  22. I think dropping to half a dose is a good idea and see how that works for you. Many times people think about the side effects so much it will cause them extra anxiety and this could cause some of the sexual side effects. Give it a few more weeks and try not to think about it, but if it continues then you should consider stopping the medication.
  23. Dr True visits Boston once a month if you'd like to see him there or visit the New York office to see Dr True or Dr Dorin.
