  1. hey guys, I have been noticing this for a while but only just realized that it was one of the factors contributing to my hair loss. Whenever I am applying rogaine to my crown area, I notice the skin there is like reddish and my scalp seems to always be hot if that makes sense. Also my scalp is very oily as well, is that a bad thing? How do I resolve this inflammation or redness and also get rid of the oily scalp? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
  2. hey mate, It would be in your best interest to keep your hair at a longer length. Ill give you an example, your backyard has grass, parts of that grass are visibly thinner then the other parts when the grass is long. When you cut the grass to a very short length, nobody can tell where the thin part is (unless its you looking). Most people "buzz" their hair so they can conceal the hair loss in some way! Your father is right in the sense that once you buzz your hair, generally if you let it grow for a week or 2, because the side hair grows much quicker then the top, it becomes so much more obvious you are balding, that you just keep buzzing to avoid that confrontation. So if you are going to buzz, you ain't turning back haha! Goodluck with it all though. Best suggestion is to take finas + nizoral asap! and just forget that you are taking them. The more you think about it and think about time, means more stress which is potentially more damage to your hair! That day when the cure comes out for baldness, we can both grow afro's and walk around the street lol.
  3. hey mate, When i first began using rogaine about 2.5 years ago, honestly my hair frontal and crown all grew back! people actually kept asking me what i done to my hair etc.. My biggest problem was i stopped taking itt! for at least a year and i lost everything and further hair loss progressed which is now making me play catch up. Use it and maintain it! Do not stop even if no more hair grows, because once u stop its going to get worse! Seeing little hairs is a good sign, the rogaine could aid in making those hairs bigger and stronger. If you have an oily scalp, start using nizoral 2% 3 times a week! it will help keep your scalp clean
  4. Hey guys, I have visible miniature hairs visible now across my frontal third that I never seen before. Does this mean the finasteride could be working to recover them slowly? or am I just going insane. When you look at my hairline, you can see normal hairs and inbetween them small miniature hairs. Can somebody please advise me on what that means. Thanks
  5. Yeah hopefully the minoxidil works for you. It was on the news about 2months ago, in the USA they claim to have found a cure for baldness. Now the scientists who have found it are in negotiations with pharmaceutical companies to try and make a lotion or some sort of medication. Put it this way, the greedy evil pharmaceutical companies are the only reason there isn't a cure out now anyway. There is just too much money in selling crap like rogaine and finasteride for them to want to give us a cure. I bet this lotion will work but will have to be used for a lifetime! Baldness cure could be on shelves in two years - Telegraph
  6. Hey mate, If its your first time on the minoxidil you will probably get really good results 6months+. If your using the rogaine foam, search on eBay for it you can probably get 8 cans for $130 instead of 3 for $120 in an Australian chemist! I'm dropping the rogaine and just doing nizoral 2% shampoo and generic fin at 1mg per day. It was announced they are releasing a cure or a better medication next year! And with the advancements of scarless surgery it might be best to just wait it out. Goodluck with your battle!!!
  7. I have considered doing a buzz cut, but seriously I just can't do it lol. I workout, so my body is where I want it to be, I just need a tan now haha. Honestly I might just ride it out until end of next year, see where I am at and from there make a choice. I might use concealers for the time being! Who would have knew something as simple as a hair follicle, could annoy somebody so bad
  8. 5-10 years? Isn't that wht they said 5-10 years ago lol. I seriously need to fix up my hairline! Who were those surgeons in turkey or Europe u wanted to recommend
  9. Thanks for the reply. I understand I am only 23yo and I do understand the consequences of doing a hair restoration early. I am confident with the continued use of finastride and nizoral as well as a hair restoration on my hair line, I can stabilize the hair loss situation. I do believe that by the time I am 30, that there will be much better methods and maybe even a cure for hair loss. I just don't want to live my 20's constantly worrying about my hair loss. It consumes too much of my time to be honest. I know it's vain, but that's life. I will wait until june next year to see how the finasteride has worked. I have been on it for almost 5months and it has done nothing. Time will tell I guess!
  10. Hey peeps, I am uploading photos of my current hair loss situation. Can somebody please analyze them and let me know the type of hair loss stage I am at. Also can you please assist me in identifying how many grafts I would need. I am more concerned about re constructing my hair line and sprinkling some grafts over the crown area. My donor area is pretty thick and as you can see my hair is black and straight. Towards my sideburns the hair may appear thinner but that's only because the hairdresser makes it thinner there with the machine for some reason. Some of the photos are taken after a shower when hair was wet and some were taken when hair was dry. I am 23yo, been experiencing hair loss for a few years. My hairline was damaged by a hair dresser who burnt my scalp with hair dye causing it to fall out and never recover. I do have a history of balding in my family. My grandfather has full head of hair. Out of my three uncles, 2 have thick hair and one is completely bald. My father is bald. So pretty much 2 from 5 males in my family are bald and 3 from 5 have normal thick hair. I have been told that everybody in my family had really thick hair but within 1-2 years my dad and uncle lost theirs at the ages of 30. Any advice would be great. Thanks
  11. Thanks for the reply. I am more then happy to continue the propecia and nizoral regime, however I really am over applying the rogaine. I am sure that propecia would stabilize future losses and the nizoral can keep my scalp nice n clean. I just truly believe that within 10years there will be a cure or at least a much better approach to hair loss. So if a hair transplant can keep me satisfied for that period, then I might have to go down that path.
  12. I'm from Sydney, Australia. Yeah well that would be great if i don't need to spend 15k or do strip! that is the ideal plan. So who in turkey is reputable and also how consistent are their results? I find the biggest problem with the hair loss industry is the fact that more "western" doctors all have websites and are able to document their results. However, doctors from the middle east or europe aren't as tech savy so they dont usually have websites or publish most results. I just want to re establish my hair line. That is the most important part of the whole procedure to me. I dont want to have some weird looking hairline.
  13. God bless Dr Rahal for the talent he has. Honestly this is an amazing result. I can only imagine the confident you have at the moment. It would have went from zero to infinite!! I swear if my hair ever looks like yours, I would be the happiest guy on earth. I hope this growth continues and you never have to experience hair loss again!
  14. Hey guys, Honestly I am so sick of spending money on hair loss products that I know are never going to regrow my hair like a hair transplant would. I have been researching almost daily for months on end now and I realized that the only possible way to regain those lost hairs is via a hair transplant (unless some miracle cure comes out within 6-12months). I am taking generic finasteride and also 5% rogain foam. I know this has been asked so many times, but based on price v results who are the top 3-5 ranked surgeons in the FUE field and also Strip surgery field. When I initially considered a hair transplant, I was adamant about FUE, but I then saw some of the results from surgeons such as Dr Feller and Dr Rahul there was hardly a scar visible, unless somebody grabbed your head and examined it looking for a scar lol. I thought to myself, since I never have my hair short around the sides and back, then strip may not be so bad after all from a financial view and also from aesthetic view. Can you guys please advise me because honestly I am sick of researching and thinking about stupid hair loss. I want to lock in and secure a hair transplant for next year. I live in Australia so travel is obviously a must. My budget would be $15,000 (includes air fares, surgery, minimum 1-week stay in the country, also in terms of grafts from 1500-2000) Any help would be great. Thank you in advance peeps.
  15. Hey Buddy, I'm 23yo and I am in a similar if not worse situation to you at the moment. Hairloss has really had a negative effect on my social life. I have been on finasteride for almost 5 months now and minoxidil for 2 years on/off and I personally think my hair is getting worse! maybe its just my mind fooling me. I am too looking at getting a hair transplant, the money is there and ready but I dont want to do something I will end up regretting. All I can say is ride it out until your 12months on the fin and within those 12months just research and research. If you are considering FUE research about Dr lorenzo. He uses 0.75 mm punch which could possibly mean you can get a greater yield and possibly the dot scar appearance would be minimized. Search "Injerto Capilar" on youtube (subscribe to his channel) and watch some of his results. You might be amazed, because I am blown away!!!
