  1. Well, I started thinking about hair concealers for a temporary solution and found a project called Nanogen and, guess what, the stuff works great! I ultimately want a permanent fix, but, for now, I can sprinkle a little bit of Nanogen in the front of my hair and be happy. Fixes my bad receeding hairline a good bit.
  2. yeah ill post some this evening. One problem that i FINALLY figured out is that the gel I have been using for the past year was making my hairline look worse. I just recently started using a product that doesnt clump my hair together and also I barely use any water so it is more of a dry look and it seems to make my hairline a bit fuller now. Also, I need to quit cutting my hair so short when I get it cut. I am going to find a good stylist and have her keep it fairly medium/long. The only issue is when there is a lot of wind, sometimes, if my hair is long. But if I keep it the right length, I think I will have more success. If you compare my pictures #3 to picture #5....in #3, I used the old gel and it makes my hairline look horrid. In Pic #5 I used a different "gel" or cream or whatever and it doesnt make my hairline look as bad. Thanks, guys.
  3. I appreciate the feedback...thanks! Would you think I was crazy if I did decide to do the hair restoration surgery in my situation? I really would like to do it I think.
  4. Your hairline is very good. You do not need surgery at all. I think any girl would tell you it is perfect. Be glad that God gave you a full head of hair!
  5. Ok, I do not like my hairline at all. I have never used concealers...is there a good one I can use to hide my hairline...make it look better? Also, what is the best way to fix my hair to give it the best look with my hairline? I am posting several pictures. I wrote YES on the picture if I like it. No if I dont like it (how it makes my hairline look) and maybe on a few that I am ok with, but not super happy. Any advice would be appreciated! I am considering hair restoration, but not 100% decided yet.
  6. Considering that I dont have A LOT of hair needing graphed, do you think the risks are a little bit less, since it is not a large area? I sure would like to find a good place in the midwest. Maybe there are not any.
  7. Why do you say I need to travel? Do you not think that there are any good places in the Oklahoma City area or the Kansas City area? I am currently talking to Bosley in Oklahoma City. Is that not a good option? I dont really have the ability to travel far. If I were travel...where are you recommending?
  8. Thanks for the great responses! I am still doing research as well as trying to decide if I should even do any surgery at all.
  9. Here is the doctor I am referring to from Kansas City (his website) Kansas City Hair Transplant Specialist | Hair Restoration experts for 24 years Maybe it isn't the FUE procedure...Im still learning what procedure is what....but, here is what he quoted me: Tim Excellent photos. You look better than I thought. I would recommend about 800-900 grafts and that would be $3400-$3800. I just don't think you need more grafts than that. Let me know if you have more questions. KAB
  10. Hi. I am new here at this board. Also, just started doing research on these surgery procedures. I never knew about them before. I am looking for the best doctor either in the Kansas City area or Oklahoma City area. Also, wondering what it might cost to get this surgery done in my situation. One doctor out of Kansas City quoted me $3400 to $3800 to do 900-1000 grafts on me (After reviewing my photos). Any advice or opinions would be greatly appreciated!
