  1. I was wondering when it is best to go the FUE route? Is it based on the size of the session, number of sessions you prolly have left? What is the criteria for making this decision? Some doctors I talk almost insist the FUE but a lot of them seem really against it....
  2. +1, I totally agree....nobody really cares anyway, not that it is their business, but I think the up front approach if asked is good.....ALL KINDS of men worry about going bald....and most would apperciate the honesty.
  3. I am still in the consideration stage but I do not think that I will be too hush hush about it....I have told a few friends that I was thinking about it. Women don't usually hide botox or boob implants, so what is the big deal?
  4. I can see it, but with it gelled like that ....yeah....I see it...
  5. WOW! What a difference. I am sure that you are very very happy. I would like to hear what you think of your results!
  6. 1. It means you will have a scar on the back of your head....small and lateral....(small for most) 2. about 3 percent....some say more experience side affects from propecia. 3. Not sure about the Revivogen, but almost any doctor will tell you to start propecia as soon as you notice that you have MBP....they will also advise Rogaine...some even say that Nizoral is effective....a shampoo, you can research these 3 things for prevention. It is very possible to keep you hair for the most poart on these....you have a 90% chance of at least slowing your hair loss on propecia...
  7. I would put you at a NW4 But it is all a little subjective. Maybe a 3... I think meds are a definate need for you whether you go ahead with the transplant or not, to keep what you have now. (which is a very good chance that you can do that.) I think that you are a very good candidate for an HT.
  8. I know that he is not one of this site's recommended surgeons....but does anyone have any opinions on Dr. Cole....also, does anyone know why his team kinda pushes FUE??? As far as I know he seems very skilled.
  9. I would love to I think....my brother is prolly a NW6...I am a NW2/3..... But my head is really jacked up (a conditions called Cutis Verticus Gyrata). It means a wrinkled scalp. I have it fairly mild but it still is unsightly to shave down...I have no doubt that I would be a complete shave down if I had a normal head....even as a NW2/3... Alas...my Klingon head keeps me surfing this forum.
  10. To be honest, I have had depression and mood swings lately(more mood swings then just depression)....but I may also be going through a potential divorce....I am receeding a losing my looks(guess it is just getting older)....I have recently completed career and educational goals so I do not have the goals to look forward to like I once did.....I have never blamed it on fin....but I will keep it in mind and consider it...
  11. I am not sure if you are sexually active but you might want to get that checked out....could be a urinary tract infection also. This is the way to look at it man.....are the sides worse then being bald? Answer that and you will know whether or not to take fin. Why are you not listening to your doc and perscribing what you think you need? Does not make much sense to me..... Nobody is going to say anything on this board to stop your hair loss. (It looks like a nice head of hair for 32 yrs old to me). My opinion is that you should get on the fin and plan on being on it for a long as you want hair. Also remember that you can have sheddinig phases from the fin and minox...but that is kinda proof that your body is responding to it.
  12. That would seem right...but that would also assume that there are zero native hairs.
  13. Does not think that I should have any input on the situation? Bwahahaha. So what your saying is that if someone does not have a problem with Fin, then the should keep their mouth shut. Someone has to speak for those that do not have problems. Example: Pizza Hut makes 1,000,000 pizzas and 3 percent are cold when they are delivered. That is 30,000 cold pizzas. Pizza Hut will get 30,000 calls about cold pizza, but how many calls will they get about their warm delicious pizza? Very few if any. Your problem may well have been triggered by fin. My buddy was diagnosed with Graves Disease at 25 which is a thyroid problem. I don't think he took any medicines.
  14. 5000?? I do see how anyone can really guess how many grafts they are looking at getting. I look at these pics all the time....any can never guess even close based on pics alone.
  15. prolly should have brushed his hair straight back for an apples to apples...but for 1600 grafts it looks quite nice. Donor hair does look extremely course and thick.
  16. Man you have nice hair....it looks like it is going to turn out really nice....you prolly have some shedding in your future which sucks....but again.....I think you are going to have a really good outcome.
  17. Depression is a serious illness and should not be taken lightly, no matter what the cause... The bottom line about the finasteride is do you trust the FDA or not(for the board....not garet personally)...if you do, then you still know that you have a 1-3 percent chance of experiencing side effects and should make an informed decision. Some people have sides to tylenol or vitamins or sugar pills... Since this as brought up I will address it too: I do think that sites like propeciahelp do a disservice to men dealing with hairloss. It is terribly slanted overall (not all users) and I do not believe that the site paints a fair or realistic picture of propecia, its sides, or its frequency.
  18. I agree....you REALLY need to get on finesteride....looking at your hair, I would say you are heading towards loosing all of the from portion of your hair...especially at your age. HT's are not miracles alone....they need a little help usually.
  19. What is standing out about this proceedure to me is the excellent scar (or lack thereof)
  20. Yes it can be a bad idea to buy it through your insurance. I pay for it outright at wal-mart and it is still only 15 bucks a month.
  21. Definately not a good enough pic to tell.
