  1. Yeah, I have seen very very few people with anything noticable until about 4 months. Keep us posted but I agree with Bill that if your expectations are reasonable the cool out for a few months and let it grow. Everybody is different so the time it takes to grow will vary. There are some loose time lines but I would not start to worry unless I was seeing very little results until at least 6 months....then I would be concerned that me expectations might not be met.
  2. I guess Dr True and Dorin do their own. I have seen some quite impressive results from them. That said I would take a 10 year succesful FUE tech over a 1 year FUE surgeon for extraction. I know that there has been some controversy about techs extracting...the only thing that I can think of is that the esctraction too seems to be more of a punch/need then a scalpel so I guess that they can get away with it. I am sure that the doctors very closely look at the techs transection/damage rate.
  3. First thing first is to get on finasteride asap if you are not on it. Feller and True have really good results. You should probably start by posting pics also. I don't think you could go wrong with either one of those docs.
  4. First let me say that your hair looks great.....I thought I had little loss to be on the forum.... That said, I would go in for a physical....I kinda doubt it is the fin...could be a bunch of things....people go to the doctor all the time that are not on fin for the same complaints...I would be careful about pointing directly to the fin too fast, without ruling it out
  5. I have been considering this and I feel that first of all he has to be a great strip surgeon. But the main difference seems to be pulling the grafts. That said, many docs have techs pull them...so in a way, isn't the tech that pulls the grafts just as important as anything when talking about FUE? While comparing docs based on there FUE results? Just a thought....for instance, I understand that a very skilled surgeon's tech (I will call him Dr. Voldemort....get it? He who shall not be named....) moved to SMG and extracts for them now....that said,it gives me a higher amount of trust in SMG considering they have only been doing FUE's for 2 years or so....but their tech has been extracting for 10 years or so. Anyway, I think this is something to consider when chosing an FUE doc.
  6. I don't know....I just think with today's instruments that the docs and techs could do just fine with a non-shaved head. Maybe it is easier for a doc to get it done shaved....I do believe that....but I want to go to a doc that is good enought to confidently give me an option. Especially if you are going to an expensive doc....I would want one with the skills and drive to give me what I wanted. Just my 2 cents
  7. I actually think that there are many more good results NOT posted than bad results not posted about....ESPECIALLY from quality surgeons. If I had a bad HT I would be letting everyone know about it....along with what the doctor was willing to do about it. I would like to see a standard of care on this subject....something that the patient can expect, and if not, satisfaction given. I think that a clinic should refund or partially refund no-growth patients and should work with other patients that do not meet resonable expectations.
  8. Very nice...was there crown work or is the the work of finasteride?
  9. Is it normal to have those little hairs if you are not on fin? Like the normal growth phase of hair?
  10. He is very legit. You can see his pics on this forum under the recommended physicians part of the forum. He actually turned me down wanting me to wait a bit longer (even tho i am 31).
  11. Sorry to see these results.....I ys on this forhave see a few no/low results in the last few days on this forum.
  12. That does not sound too good....do the two of you have any before and afters? Also, do either of you care to list your clinics?
  13. I have what I think is pretty thing hair in most of my hair but started receeding in the temple region. I started fin less then 3 months ago. I never looked before but when I part my hair tight I can see some shorter hairs maybe a have inch long. Is thistoo soon to be the fin? It seems that it is and that maybe these are just hairs that I would have had anyway exiting a normal resting cycle. Like I said, I thought that the hair was thick in this region but the shorter hairs had me wondering. They do not appear to be miniturized....thanks for any input.
  14. Someone tell me that this is wrong....if you can decifer wha he is trying to say....
  15. the closure looks fantastic...looking forward to seeing the scar in the future too....
  16. I am wondering the specifics of why up to 5 percent of surgeries dont work
  17. I just use propecia cause I don't think I would like the daily maintenance of Rogain and I think only like 40 percent see good improvement....I also TRY to not look in the mirror too much. I also use Nizoral 1 percent because it does not disrupt my daily routine. My get some 2 percent when I go to the doctor again.
  18. Very good read and real proof that this is an asset the the HT industry. I give it a 2 thumbs up!
  19. Would 3 months of fin really cause that??? I am not an expert but I kinda find taht hard to believe. Luckinly I have not had any problems with fin so I plan on sticking with it.
  20. What medications, if any, work against propecia? In addition, what medications, if any, can cause poor results in HT's. I know I have read that smoking can reduce your results but was wondering if there was anything else.
  21. That does not look right...you need to see a doc I think....
  22. I have heard that the survival rate of the grafts drop on anything over 40 grafts per cm2
  23. This question is for those that have taken the plunge from a recommended doctor. I know a lot of people on here have seen hacks before and are now going to see a skilled doctor and I would like to not factor them into the equation of this poll. Thanks!
