  1. So happy for you buddy - you made a great choice and you are in great hands. I'm pulling for you big time!!
  2. Beautiful work, beautiful pictures, beautiful presentation. It amazes me that doctors cannot follow suit with the same presentation as this. Well done Janna and SMG.
  3. Best of luck - Dr. Ron is the man. You have nothing to worry about at all. Enjoy the experience
  4. Stay strong Doc - 'Life does not put things in front of you that you are unable to handle' My thoughts and prayers go out to you and your daughter
  5. Thehairupthere, Is that really true that a graft could fall out on day 3 without any signs of bleeding? That is definitely news to me....
  6. Hey Joe, If you didn't bump your head while fixing your heat, then you wouldn't have lost any grafts. If you did happen to bump your head and lost a graft, you would have definitely noticed. You would be bleeding significantly from the location of the dislodged graft. Rest easy bud
  7. BrainFried, Did you notice any bleeding when those came off? If you did not, then, IMO you didn't lose any grafts at all. Bleeding is usually the tell tale sign of a lost graft. And keep in mind, the bleeding should be pretty significant. Judging by your recipient site at day 6, it looks like you've been incredibly gentle with your washing of the recipient area...that is causing a lot of prominent scabbing to occur. As you begin to get more comfortable with your washing habits, you will probably start to see more of these massive scab/hair globs coming off. Again, if there was no bleeding, I think you are all set. Rest easy and happy growing to you bud.
  8. Yeah, no thanks. to both the product, and the doc. IMO of course.
  9. Whirlwind, To be honest, I don't think I actually had any swelling above the scar. I think it was just that the left side of my head above the scar went numb. The right side didnt. Because it was numb and I couldn't feel it when I touched it, I assumed it was larger than the other side. I think my nerves, or lackthereof, were playing tricks on me. I had my mom check (I know, shes the best ) and she didnt feel any swelling. Are you experiencing any loss of sensation above the scar line? Perhaps its the same thing. If not, I think its not uncommon to get swelling. Just keep an eye on it and it should subside. IMO you did the right thing and have a doc check it out. If the doctor said you were fine, I'd take their word for it. Rest easy bud:cool:
  10. Added 1 month post-op pics to my blog in the link below. Thanks
  11. IMO you are COMPLETELY fine. Those bad boys are locked in at about 7-10 days. By locked in, I mean they cannot be removed unless you have them surgically removed. Surely, by 5 weeks, I am just that more confident that you did nothing more than a good ole bump to the noggin'. No need to worry. Relax
  12. Looking real good man. I'm also very interested on the rational behind not needing fin at this point in time.
