  1. Dr Feller is considerably cheaper (well to me $3000+ is considerable because I'm not rich ). I found a price comparison on another forum by a guy who compared prices he was quoted (I haven't personally checked the H&W price but the poster is reliable and I'm sure a H&W patient will correct me if I'm wrong): Feller - upto 3500 grafts = $9750 H&W - 3200 grafts = $12900 (Armani was also in his comparison but he was even more expensive than H&W) Dr Feller's prices are on his website: http://www.fellermedical.com/Fees_Financing.htm Dr Feller is in New York, H&W in Vancouver - travelling from the UK New York is considerably closer so there would be a very big difference in total price of surgery and travel. From the results I have seen, both clinics provide excellent results, so I don't see any point in paying more for the same job
  2. Hi Nicholas, Can you show us a photo? I have seen teenagers on other sites freaking out about their hair loss but when I've seen their picture, they look like they have a full head of hair. Is your hair loss really as bad as you think it is?
  3. I used BM scar diminishing cream on my non-tricho scar and I'm sure it helped. It dried the scar tissue up and the scar pealed off. My scalp is completely smooth and I can't feel the scar even when running my finger nails over it. Of course it may be that it would have healed this well without the cream due to surgeon skill, but I'm convinced that it helped. I don't see any reason not to try it.
  4. That is a typical Norton experience... I'm pretty sure johnno IS Isherwood trying to drum up some sales.
  5. I would agree with the post above - you are too young and have too much hair to be getting a transplant. Was that 500 grafts into each side? Or 500 total? The scar looks more like a megasession scar! I have also found that my hair looks far worse in photos than it does in mirrors, my crown looks completely bald in photos but there is hair there (not much but a covering of hair). I think you have Dr Feller's price wrong - the price you mentioned is for FUE/graft. Dr Feller's strip grafts are much cheaper. I was wondering why you went all the way to Florida to get butchered when there are several good HT docs in NY ?
  6. With the combination of more hair and the weight loss, you look 10 years younger - congrats! I think I'll start working on losing some weight too...
  7. I have deleted my replies to johnno because I strongly suspect johnno is actually Jeremy Isherwood from the Norton clinic. Apologies to johnno if I am wrong.
  8. Thanks NervousNelly and hairroot! NervousNelly, I'm going for all Dr Feller can get. My donor is limited and Dr Feller estimated that I only have 2000 left. I have discussed having a second scar in an area of virgin scalp in the hope of being able to get more than 2000. My first scar isn't visible even with much shorter hair than I usually have and the second scar will be tricho so will not be visible at all, so having two separate scars isn't a problem for me as I don't want to buzz cut my hair. We won't know for sure until next June though, when I get in the chair again. Hairroot, how's your 2nd FUE HT coming along? Are you sprouting yet? Has your HT #1 hair grown back well?
  9. Dr Rogers is the best the UK has to offer but you'll get a much better job done in the US/Canada. Dr Rogers recently posted some pictures of his work here: http://stophairlossnow.ipbhost.com/index.php?showtopic=1760 I am not very impressed with these results but as I said, he's the best the UK has.
  10. I have deleted my replies to johnno in this thread because I strongly suspect johnno is actually Jeremy Isherwood from the Norton clinic. Apologies to johnno if I am wrong.
  11. Norton doesn't perform surgery himself because he was struck off the GMC register for butchering liposuction patients and his HTs are even worse than the liposuction butcherings he performed. Thomas Norton who left liposuction patients disfigured and in agony has been struck off the medical register. I have seen many HT victims from this clinic and the results are absolutely appalling.
  12. Thanks for all the kind comments everyone Yes I want more and I'm booked in with Dr Feller for June '07 to get the rest of my donor grafts moved up there. I'm hoping to add a bit more density to my hair line and perhaps slightly widen the "V" at the front. The rest will go in behind HT #1 to give me more coverage on top for when I lose more hair. I'm from Europe, so popping in to see Dr Feller for photo sessions isn't possible for me. Don't worry ArnoldS, 6 weeks is around the worst time (as you can see from my photos) but it will soon take off and you will notice a big difference every week after that. I also had problems with redness due to my fair skin, but the normal color returned after a few months.
  13. Hey GP, Thanks. I'm booked in for June and am going for everything Dr Feller can get. Unfortunately my donor is limited so it won't be a megasession (depending on what the official megasession number is nowadays)... hopefully somewhere close to the number of grafts I got with HT #1.
  14. Looking good at 2 months thanks to your previous HTs! Congats! That looks like a very long scar, do you know how long it is? PB
  15. This album contains some pre-op pictures, pictures taken on the day of my HT and post-op pictures at different stages from immediately post-op up to one year post-op

  17. Here is mine at almost one year (2700 grafts into front 1/3 by the good Dr Feller) I've been busy all year (evening course) and haven't had time to post, will be coming back on soon to show all the pics in between where I left off up until now.
  18. I had a HT (my first) when I was 45, almost a year ago and I don't take any meds or use other useless hair products nor do I intend to in the future. I plan to have a second HT to cover as much area as possible with the donor I have left and leave it at that. I used Rogain before my HT and it only made things worse.
  19. I agree with what John_in_NC said. It looks 100% natural as it is - nobody would ever guess that you've had a HT. PB
  20. MSM is better for speeding up growth and with MSM you don't risk irritating your scalp.
  21. So this is how minoxidil and finasteride get a reputation for working...
  22. I should think that at only 16 weeks, things are only just beginning to happen. Another month and you'll be scoring every weekend again
  23. After the rapid growth during the 4th, 5th and first half of the 6th month, things have slowed down and I haven't noticed much happening over the last 6 weeks. How's your scar and growth doing Brian?
