  1. Thanks for your advice guys - a month and counting until surgery!
  2. Hi! I've booked myself in for FUE surgery with Dr De Reys in late May with an agreed transplant of 1500 grafts. As you can see from my attached photo I'm looking at FUE surgery to restore density to my front temple and hairline. However as you can see from the attached photo I still have growth in the middle of my front temple. The grafts will be transplanted into this area and I'm concerned that my existing natural hair roots will be damaged and not grow back due to the grafts. Could you guys provide any advice / reassurance on this issue?
  3. If I could drive over there I would but as I live in the South West part of the UK it will be a good 1000 mile round trip!
  4. After 3 years of thinking about it I have finally decided to dive into the deep end and go for FUE surgery with Dr De Reys from Belgium in November 2012. However I'm starting to worry about the post surgery scarring and reddening around the donor and recipient area. I'm 3 on the norwood scale and the surgery will be restoring the front and temporal area. However I'm planning to use public transport (planes and trains) to return to my home address the day after surgery. I'm incredibly worried about how the scarring and reddenning will look especially as I'm fair skinned and that I've been advised that I can't wear a hat for the first 3 or 4 days. Any advice, experiences and reassurances from people who have undergone surgery and ventured out into the gaze of members of the public would be appreciated!
  5. Hi guys! I'm looking at FUE surgery with various surgeons in the United Kingdom and mainland Europe. One clinic which is of interest to me is the Pro Hair Clinic in Belgium which offers FUE. I've had a look on here for any reviews and there was a considerable number up until late 2010 when I believe Dr De Reyout was was still practicing. However I've only found a handful since then which seem positive. Does anyone have any knowledge of the doctor practicing at the clinic at the moment? I also get the impression from their website that experienced staff not Dr accredited carry out parts of the surgery - is that the norm in surgery?
  6. After considering hair transplant surgery for the past couple of years I've put my mind to FUE surgery and have had a number of consultations with surgeons in the USA and Europe. I'm looking at consultation with the Private Clinic in London with Dr Raghu Reddy who undertakes FUE. However I cannot find any previous posts or reviews on this site for this clinic or doctor. I'm not prepared to have surgery with a clinic without a proven track record. Do you guys have any knowledge or experience of this doctor?
  7. I use www.multipharmacy.com. Usually they have discounts on nanogen products for combined purchases
  8. Thanks for the info guys - I presumed that Dr Farjo was a coalition doctor as he does appear on the list of recommended physicians on the home page.
  9. I was looking at obtaining a couple of consults with some UK hair transplant surgeons. I have a consultation booked with Dr Rogers but I was also considering Dr Farjo who appears as one of the coalition doctors. I am after for opinions regarding his practice - how does he compare with Dr Rogers?
  10. Well H and W seems a more appealing option now! I was interested in Dr Feller in New York and I was put off with the travel time from JFK to the hotels in Manhatten and subsequent distance the clinic is away from the Manhatten. I am very much a country boy and I did not enjoy my visit to New York last time. Talk about London being manic - NY is off the scale! I also know from my previous visit to Toronto that the Canadian authorities are a lot more welcoming and flexible than their US counterparts! I guess that is one of the perks of being a Commonwealth country! Thanks for your input and I'll keep you informed of my plans!
  11. Thanks for the info guys - I will probably send my online consultation off in the next couple of days and egerly await their feedback! Another question I forgot to ask is that were you aware of any travel and accomodation reembursement from H and W? Also Vancouver does seem more of a compact city than the likes of New York - what are travel links to H and W like from Vancouver airport?
  12. I am a UK resident looking into hair transplant with Hasson and Wong in Vancouver. Reading previous reviews of this clinic they do seem one of the best North America. Combined with the good Canadian Dollar exchange rate and cheap flights and H and W's accomodation and travel rembursement it does sound very appealing! My main concern is the online consultation and I was just wondering how any international client found this method of consultation? Did it give H and W an accurate perception of your hairloss, the potential graft yield and surgery costs? If I went ahead, would it be suitable it see them in person a day before surgery? How did you find the travelling? Was there any problems encountered at passport control and how easy is it to get to and from the clinic from the airport? Additionally how was the medical aftercare regarding painkillers etc for the trip bakc across the pond?

  14. Hi everyone! I am in the process of consulting various surgeons about undertaking FUE as from research this does seem the best way forward for my future hairstyles! I am keen to find out from people who have maintained a shorter hairstyle after surgery. Basically I have always kept my hair short (grade 3 / 4 on top and grade 2 back and sides)and I was wondering if having surgery will make my hairline look too "pluggy" if that is the right word to say!
