  1. That's a terrific result. The hairline is very appropriate and natural. I would have never guessed it was an HT. Good surgical planning imo.
  2. Yeah, give it time. It does take awhile for things to get back to normal. After my first surgery, I was numb on the top of my head for about 3-4 months.
  3. Definitely an improvement. The hairline still looks a bit rigid from his previous hack work. Doesn't he have a few hundred FUE's from the sides of head, like above his ears? I would think that zone seems a bit more DHT resistant than the nape hair.
  4. Dr. Paul does it again. If you told me that this was 12 Months Post-Op I'd be impressed. I'm curious if this is an example of the dense-packing Dr. Paul wrote about a bit ago. It doesn't appear that the patient will have any kind of aggressive hair loss. Should someone like this patient get on Propecia?
  5. Precisely Thana. And it just makes the clinic look better. I know that Dr. Rassman took a pretty big PR hit with his prices and probably lost a good number of patients because of it.
  6. freakin, Are you on Propecia? From what I hear it does prevent permanent shockloss. I know the shockloss sucks, but you really have no choice but to go through another procedure. I will say the growth around the area looks pretty good. Get on propecia, get a touch up, and then you should be done.
  7. More like the big THREE days! Ha. Good luck jmorgan and keep us posted with pics.
  8. And the thing is is that with lower prices, you'll be getting more business. So patient-friendly pricing can in turn help the bottom line. It's smart and effective biz.
  9. Sparky said: he does look better with hair but who wants to wear a wig? That sweater was worse than baldness. It was like a NW7 on bad fashion.
  10. I agree with Bill. You are still improving there Plunge. Don't count this has a failure just yet. It might not end up in the hall of fame, but it's looking better.
  11. BB, if you got a HT today it wouldn't be fully realized for another year. By that time, you'd be almost done with college (unless you are like me and choose 6 years of grad school). I really hope a sketchy doc doesn't take advantage of you right now. At least consult with a top notch, ethical clinic.
  12. If BB does a HT with the expectation of reaching a NW7, he might indeed have a natural hairline. But there will be nothing behind it to give an illusion of density. This could happen to him within a couple of years, even on the meds. I doubt BB would want to look like Joe Biden by the time he's 28. A shaved head look for the next few years would be the much safer way to go... by far.
  13. Hey Pilot Ron, Congrats on getting your HT down my Dr. Feller. I'm sure it'll turn out well. The healing time for a donor scar seems to vary. I'm fair skinned and have blonde hair, thus my scar is still very red about 3 and a half weeks post op. My scar from the first surgery had redness until about month 8-9. Right now, since I shaved my sides and back down to a #3, I have to use dermmatach to cover up the scars. Some seem to get away with a #2 guard, but that doesn't hold true for everybody. The lowest I could probably go without concealer would be a #5. But again, I have light hair and light skin.
  14. God good. Wow. 7818 Grafts?!? What is that, like 14,000 hairs in one session? Jeepers! Incredible.
  15. Baldboy, As you were saying: My ideal ht plan would be to get the fullest look i can get now as being bald at this age is a very hard thing to live with. You won't get a full look with a HT of 1500 grafts. You might not get a full look with a HT of 3500 grafts. The only way for you to get a full look right now is to get a wig. And you don't want that...
  16. If anyone else says that this site is pushing young men into getting HT's, then they should look at this post. Baldboy, I must echo what the more experienced veterans said before me. I can guarantee you two things: 1) You will continue to lose more hair, with or without Propecia. 2) You will regret having a HT at this age. Trust me when I say that we all know much it ****in' sucks to start losing hair right after high school.... right after you stopped getting zits. But you think it's bad now? Imagine your friends down the road giving you crap for that little tuft of hair you have in the front from a HT years back with nothing else behind it. A shaved head look is better than a misguided HT look. Dude, your dad and your grandpa are both bald and so you are basically keeping up the family genes. Stay on Propecia. Keep using concealer's or even buzz your head and get a soft tan. But whatever you do, don't get a HT now. Any surgeon offering a HT to a 20 year old with this kind of balding is one not worth going to EVER!
  17. Congrats Bash! That's quite a marathon you had. And I thought one day was tough. Bring on the pics!
  18. regretht, I'm sorry you obviously regret having your HT. I totally understand the feeling of being sold of bill of goods. But you are painting with some pretty broad strokes. Just because you had a sketchy doc doesn't indict the rest. But I'm glad you shared your experience with us. By the way, who was your doc? If he screwed you up so bad, then what's holding you back from returning the favor?
  19. I remember awhile back seeing a few iffy results from Dr. Panine. But since then, most if not all his results have been looking really great. And his photo documentation has been thorough as well. I would support his recommendation. One has to wonder what PGP would have to say...
  20. Propecia is finasteride at 1MG. Proscar is finasteride at 5MG. If you are feeling different from a generic or a bought-over-the-internet version of finasteride (i.e. Finpecia), then it is possibly nothing more than a sugar pill. See the link below. Dr. Rassman recently had a post about how finasteride is one of the most faked drugs. http://www.baldingblog.com/200...ds-most-faked-drugs/
  21. "You probably want you new hair to grow without any obstacles." vs. "No - hair grows under your scalp." Like I said, a variety of views on this toppik... I mean topic.
