  1. The back half of this guy's scalp appears to have improved. The finateride must be working.
  2. Zaxter, do u still frequent this board? How are you? How's your hair looking? Did you ever address the crown?
  3. Hello Looking for a bit of advice from the knowlwdgeable posters on this board. I am turning 60 soon and have noticed some increased thining in my crown after having been stable for many years. I have never taken any hairloss meds. Notably, I do have some degree of erectile dysfunction. My erections certainly are not "diamond cutters" anymore. As well, I do have an enlarged prostate, although not to the extent that I have sought treatment. My questions relate to the use of finasteride in older men. 1. Do older men tend to have as good a results as younger men? If any older finasteride users are reading this post I would appreciate hearing about your experience (results/side effects). 2. Somehow, against all odds, I have retained a decent amount of hair in my hairline area although a lot is minituarized but it seems too stubborn to fall out. I have read the odd account of people going through a massive shed after starting fin that doesn't regrow - particularly in the frontal zone. Any thoughts on this? 3. My crown is my biggest concern at this point. I am considering a topical fin (maybe the xyon version) or another version that would be available to Canadians, as this would allow me to directly address the crown. At least in theory, a topical might reduce the risk of side effects. On the other hand, oral fin could potentially benefit all the hair on my scalp. If I opt for oral I was considering starting at .5 mg eod. Any thoughts/feedback would be appreciated. Thanks. P.S. It would have been nice to discuss this with my PCP. However, when I phoned the clinic the other day, I was informed he closed his practice. Now I need to find a new guy which will be very difficult in my city.
  4. Thanks. Getting results? Do you apply to the whole top of your scalp?
  5. How is it going? Hope you're still side effect free.
  6. Thanks for the response. I'll be following your case closely and looking forward to updates.
  7. Looking really good. I have a few questions. 1. In the before pics you look to have quite fine textured hair. Is this the case? 2. How high is the centre point of your new hairline from your eyebrows? 3. Did Dr. Wong mention how many more grafts you might have available for future procedures? Thanks.
  8. I'm interested in trying the Xyon topical. How long does it need to stay on the scalp before it would be ok to shower? If a person applied this in the morning, is it okay to shower and wash hair in the evening?
  9. Was it Doctor Hasson or Doctor Wong who assessed your pictures?
  10. Overall it was good. I knew I had poor laxity which Dr. Wong confirmed. Actually, when I feel around my head I am unable to pinch any skin at all. On a positive note he said I would be a good FUE candidate with a total capacity of about 8000 grafts. Dr. Wong suggested I get started on finasteride.
  11. Dr. Wong has done some nice procedures on guys with fine hair. Check out the thread started by a patient who goes by the name Zaxter. I had an in-person consult with Dr. Wong myself a month ago. I'm interested in him because I have hair on the finer side and he seems to be able to achieve great coverage on fine-haired dudes. Really enjoyed my consult with him, he's an absolute beauty.
  12. Hello everyone. I have a question in regards ro laxity. I recently had an in-person consult with a well repected doctor. I knew I had a tight scalp. I am unable to pinch any skin at all. Anyway he felt my scalp was too tight for strip surgery and thought the laxity exercises would not be of much benefit because my scalp is so tight. On a positive note, he thought I would be a great candidate for FUE. Anyway, I'm wondering if anyone with a really tight scalp, has managed to loosen it up enough that they were able to undergo strip surgery afterall. Thanks.
  13. Unbelievable result as per usual from Dr. Konior. I would be interested in seeing the post op pics for the second part of this restoration.
  14. Hi Zaxter Was wondering how you're doing and if you have any current pictures to share. I followed your case from the beginning and consider your transformation to be one for the hall of fame. In fact, your case and a handful of others are what finally convinced me to book an in-person consult with Dr. Wong next week ......... it only took 12 years of research lol. I have two questions: 1) What led you to consult with and ultimately choose Dr. Wong as opposed to Dr. Hasson? 2) Do you have any plans to address your crown? Thanks
  15. OMFG ......that is a ridiculously glorious head of hair that Brad Pitt has. I knew he had great hair but I didn't realize it was that good. Now I'm even more depressed about my own mop 😪.
  16. This is a beautiful result. I really love the design of your new hairline. That peak in the middle is sweet as it helps lower the overall appearance of your hairline. That's what I would like to do when I pull the trigger. I was wondering how much input you had in the design of your new hairline? Was the widows peak your idea or did Dr. Hasson suggest it?
  17. Markee, I just assumed the prices on the H&W website were in Canadian dollars, and, that Americans would enjoy a favourable exchange rate. Looks like I was mistaken. Sorry for the confusion.
  18. I was referring to our sh$@$y Canadian dollar. I'm assuming Wamo is an American.
  19. Personally, I wouldn't be returning for anymore work from a doctor who left me with a scar like that. Why not consult with H&W? Reasonable wait times and the favorable exchange rate is an added bonus.
