Hey Guys,

I’m Leo, 39 years old, from Romania. I am a member of this forum for few months and will share my experience and HT journey.

I will be having surgery with Dr Mwamba in Bruxelles next week on the 22, 23 and 24th of June. I had a few consultations with other Doctors but decided to go with Dr Mwamba as he has very good references and I think he is the best choice price-quality.

I have been using minoxidil and finasteride in the past and now decided to take these again to support the actual hair for the surgery. I hope to cover my entire balding area which is a Norwood 6 now, I think.

The surgical plan is to have two procedures of about 3.500 grafts each. The first one for the hairline and frontal third and the second one for the mid scalp and crown.

Hy guys,

Sorry for the late reply but I was traveling a lot last days.

I will start describing my ht by saying that this was for me a very nice and pleasant experience rather than a surgery. I felt like dr Mwamba’s clinic is more like a big and friendly family. Dr Patrick, dr Ali, Giselle and everybody, they are very kind, careful and patience. Dr Mwamba and his team are the most friendly, kind and professional people I’ve had the pleasure to cooperate with. Dr Mwambas work is a real state of art and now, after months of research and look for the best ht surgeon, I could say that he is the master. He is working non stop and is not stopping until the goal and the number of the grafts are reached.

We finally managed to extract and implant 4.200 grafts because of my good donor area density (90 as I understand). First day we start at 8 in the morning with planing, designing the  hairline and then extracting. Second day we started the same and ended up at 11 pm, third day we started at 9, ended at 5 am in the morning to finish adding the extra 700 grafts. The surgery was impeccable, no pain except a little bit in the beginning of anesthesia, I gave also received several laser treatments for speed up the healing and recovery. All this time I could make as many breaks as I need, I could have lunch and dinner together with the team, watch Netflix and tv news.

Following are some pictures during and right after the surgery.

3 weeks post op. Donor area is completely healed, the recipient is looking perfect. Didn’t start any medication yet, only shampooing once per day with neutral PH shampoo.

Leos I assume you are posting these photos retrospectively - you should be 7 weeks now?

Hairline is going to look great

That’s right, almost 7 weeks now. I will keep posting retrospectively because I hadn’t time to keep it up to date.

thanks 👍

One and a half months post op. Almost all the implanted hairs was fallen and only thing strange is that I started to see some acne from place to place, don’t understand why. These appears only in the evening when I push them away, in the morning and during the day it’s clear and clean, but in the evening keeps appearing 1 or 2. Did anybody else encountered this issue?

Hey,
The donor area looks really good. How long did you have to wait for the surgery? Places I've contacted lately are saying no consultations until next year :/

Hey,

Made the appointment in February for the end of June.
