Good morning, Follically Challenged. We appreciate your interest. Dr. indicates to patients a treatment to stabilize the alopecia, which is adapted to the needs of each person. It can include finasteride, dutasteride, minoxidil, shampoo, vitamins. De Freitas Clinic
On 10/9/2021 at 2:24 AM, david2708 said: Looks great. My query pertains to what would you classify as an age appropriate great hairline at the very front. The above clients hair looks great but given his age, my thinking was is it actually too great at the very front couple of rows? Would a naturally occurring great hairline for that age show just a little wear and tear at the very front to make it even look more natural. This may of course be at the discretion of the client and the temptation to have a perfect front line may too great. I guess it's a matter of whether the surgeon advises the client not to make it look so perfect as to raise doubts by those who look at it and think it too good to be true. i have looked at many older clients with hair transplants that look just too good to be true. As perfect as the work is, i just think, you've a had a hair transplant. I'm not seeing that little minor age related loss. Of course i don't mean I want to see bald spots. Good morning, David2708! We appreciate your comment and question. Actually, when Dr. makes the design for surgery, it is the result of combining the advice given by the Dr. with the patient's desire and intention. It is important that the final result looks natural and integrates harmoniously with the patient's own features. Perhaps if we were to show the patient's entire face, your impression would be different. However, I think your thinking is very interesting. Thank you for share it! Valued Contributor Gatsby Posted October 11, 2021 Valued Contributor Share Posted October 11, 2021 What a massive change! Incredibly natural results and I love you you have followed the natural shape of the original hairline. Is this patient on finasteride, etc? Senior Member Mycroft Posted October 12, 2021 Senior Member Share Posted October 12, 2021 A situation like this is tricky. The patient has a lot of existing native hair although it has definitely thinned. The hairline looks pretty densely packed despite this. Did the doctor elect to go through this area to maximize aesthetic benefit or did he attempt to work between the existing hairs?
