5 month update 

Hi all.. although it’s only 2 weeks since I started this thread at 4.5 months I’m uploading my latest pictures as it’s exactly 5 months since my ht.

A little reminder.... had 2800 fue grafts at Dr Cinik’s on the front 3rd of my head.

I take 1mg/day fin (started 4 weeks after op) and a few supplements...

biotin, omega 3, collagen and a multi vitamin daily.

The first picture is straight after a shower with wet hair and the last one is a picture of me last year before my ht. 
The others pictures I’ve just taken with gel on.

Really great so far! One of those results you forget you even had a problem. Dr. Cinik also greatly used the amount of the grafts with correct placement. Initially I thought you needed some more. So great assessment of the case upfront!

6 Month update 

Hi everyone... I’m 5 days short of the 6 month mark but I’ll update now as I’ve managed to get a lockdown haircut yesterday 🤫

I see a massive difference even from 4 weeks ago, density and thickness definitely an improvement.

If my hair doesn’t improve even 1% more I’ll be not be able to smile wide enough from where it was when I started.

7 month update 

Hi everyone it’s exactly 7 months since my fue ht, visually I’m not sure if there’s much difference since last month but it definitely feels thicker and more dense. My friends and family think it looks great and I get many compliments.

I’ve just had a skin fade haircut so the back is shaved bald and my donor looks pretty neat.

Im really happy and can’t believe that it can improve further with still 5 months to go to the full 12 month mark.

9 Months update 

Hope everyone is well

I am a few days short of 9 months and  I continue to be amazed by the change my ht has made to me, anyone thinking of doing it just do it, I’m still getting regular compliments which makes me more chuffed every day.

I’ve attached quite a few pictures in different lighting and with different styles, some with gel and some dry.

One thing I’ve noticed in one of the photos from above  where I have my hair gelled is that there is visible scalp, around the back half of the mid-scalp area. It makes me wonder if I should have had a  grafts placed in that area but was never mentioned. So to try and combat this I have just started micro needling that area with a derma-pen and along with finasteride I hope it stabilises.

All in all still very happy and I feel there can’t be much more growth from now on but you never no 😀

I understand Cinik has its critics but I chose them on reviews and real people who had good results and thankfully turned out great for me.

12 Month update 

Here I am at the 12 month mark, the stage we are told to wait for the final result. Well one thing I can say since my last update is there has definitely been a change in the density and feel of my hair, visually there may not be much difference but when I run my fingers through it, it feels thicker and more dense.

 

I am more than happy with the result, I was lucky that I had great growth from around the 3 month mark and got better and better each month. I no cinik is a hairmill and I agree with many reviews I’ve read over the past year, especially the time Dr Cinik spends with you pre surgery (5-10 mins max) is not great when you look back but I would not change anything. Maybe I was the lucky one and got the best technicians on the day, if I remember rightly there was 3 of us getting the procedure done the day I was in, although I did pay extra for cinik to do they incisions. My current regime is 0.5mg fin every day, biotin and collagen supplements, I have also been micro needling with the derma-pen once every 2 weeks for the past 4 months or so, and I feel this has definitely helped my mid scalp area which was quite thin when I look back at early pictures. I have also been using serioxyl hair denser with stemoxydine after every wash.

 

I would like to thank the forum members for there support and especially the education, as I have learnt a lot whether it be ht topics, medications, types of clinics you name it. I thought I had researched thoroughly before I took the plunge, but I did not find this forum until later so I guess not, but luckily I wasn’t butchered, hairline looks fine (all single grafts) and most importantly I am happy. It has definitely changed my life, as I’ve said before the compliments never stop and I frequently get asked where I went by other interested friends.... they are surprised when I tell them it maybe better to look elsewhere, as I explain how it is the luck of the draw who works on you that day, and that they may not be as lucky as me and there better off with doctors that do most of the work.

Also I hear a lot on here saying 99% need multiple ht’s, something I wasn’t aware of a year ago. Considering I’m aged 47 now and not in my 20’s like many on here who’s had ht’s, do you think I will need another ?
