Hello everyone,

After much thought and consideration i have decided to share my Hair transplant journey. I first initially noticed my hair loss at the age of 26 which started off mild with the receding of my hair line and thinning of hair behind it . By the age 30 it had advanced to a more aggressive form and i began to seek help. My head is naturally large so a receding hairline with thinning shows pretty bad. I begin my search for help in 2018 after searching all over the country i ran across Dr Diep and his Famous YouTube videos, Also DR Diep has been proven to be a specialist for AA men.  I contacted his office in 2019 but never moved forward with procedure until 2020 which now i am 33 years old. So to make a long story short one of my associates,  an ( African American ) man did a Fue 2100 grafts with Dr Diep in November of 2019 . After 8 months of seeing his results i was convinced and assured that a Hair transplant was my solution to my hair loss.  I contacted Dr Diep's office in May of 2020 to schedule a consultation with Dr Diep.  After consulting with Dr Diep via FaceTime due to Covid 19 he recommend FUE 2250 grafts. I immediately scheduled surgery which was set for May 2021. From curiosity and anticipation  i called Dr Diep's office asking if i could somehow get an earlier date maybe if someone cancelled. The next day his staff contacted me and let me know there was a February 2, 2020 date available i took it and surgery was scheduled.

The Goal of this procedure was to lower hairline and fill in with whatever was left.

Congratulations on your procedure, and a big thank you for paying it forward. You have no idea the amount of men and women with afro hair you’ll be helping. These threads are invaluable for research.

Looking good! Diep is a rockstar with the AA community and I am excited to see your results. I wouldn't honestly recommend anyone else besides Diep at this time as he has consistent videos on those results. Also, have another forum member who had stellar results with Diep as well.

I agree. I’ve been keeping a stealth eye on his results and his patients always seem to have the best end result. Can’t wait to see the finish product. Looking at your pics I see another fantastic result

Honestly, everything looks great. It’s gonna be a hard 3-4 months. Definitely important not to let the doubt take over. It’s a process, believe and trust in the process. I can see you definitely being like @Norman Osborne Waves

If some surgeon ever develops something to make grafts grow instantly, they’ll be very rich haha. Unfortunately, we don’t have that yet. Happy growing man, I’ll be following your progress closely.

Hello Everyone,

This will be my 1 Month update to My Fue Procedure done February 2, 2021 by Dr. John Diep . Yes as you can see the shedding has begun 😢. It started about 10 days ago.

It looks like things are worst then before. Im experiencing some shock loss in transplanted area. The donor areas are recovering great. I know this is a journey so i haven't started to panic yet but i must say im anxious to see how things will work out. I still have some sort of hair line which is ok i guess. I do see that there are some hairs that survived the shedding possibly. Let me know if you have any questions . ill check in again Next month
