Dr. Bisanga BHR Clinic, 2570 FUE - Hairline Repair 0 - 9 months

Recommended Posts

A young patient who had surgery in another clinic that resulted in an unnatural, see through and pluggy hair line.

Dr. Bisanga refined this by camouflaging and adding density throughout and blending back into native hair, and the result at 9 months is already very good and life changing for the patient kindly provided these photos.

He has expressed how happy he is with his result already, and provided the quote below.

Patient quote "Honestly, I was going to be lazy and not reply until the 12 month mark, but the results have been incredible. Dr. Bisanga rectified the past surgeons mistake and really made the hairline look natural and not pluggy. The attached photos are without my hair being shampooed for 2+ days. Usually, I would shampoo everyday to mask the previous poor transplant. But, growth has been too great to care."

A big thank you to the patient who kindly provided these photos for us, and allowed us to post his case and hoepfully will be able to provide more at the 12 month stage with better quality images.

Glad to hear you got a good result, but it would be better if the photos at least had 5 pixels each 😅

These are obviously patient submitted photos. Don’t be rude, my only warning.

Thanks to all for your comments and support.

This result makes such a difference to this younger patient, and the positive impact that the repair has had on his life and confidence. I can only imagine what he, and others in a similar situation, will have experienced on an emotional level having first made the difficult decision to proceed with surgery with his previous surgeon, and all of the hopes and psychological investment that he will have put into that procedure, only to be left in a situation that was worse than pre surgery, with a thin, pluggy, unnatural hairline that attracted further attention and added to his insecurity. I imagine that he was very anxious moving forward with his repair procedure.

I completely agree that ideally the photos that have been shared by the patient, would be of a higher quality and definition. We appreciate the need for focused and quality images, as can be seen from all of our previous cases that we have shared over the past 10+ years. This is very important as we all know and appreciate that even a slight change in lighting can affect how a result may appear.

Having said that, I believe that it is fair to say that even despite the lower quality images, there is no comparison in regards to pre and post surgery.

Only a very small percentage of patients provide permission to share their cases on public forums/platforms. This is understandable considering the insecurity that is felt by most of us who have experienced hair loss and prefer to keep our procedure private.
This percentage is even smaller for patients who may have undergone repair surgery, who have really endured a tough journey, and normally want to put everything behind them and simply move on with their lives. Again, this is completely understandable.
Some patients who are active on forums, may post their results as a way of "giving back" to the community and to receive some support throughout their journey, which is amazing. That was my personal experience as a patient.

For patients who are not active on forums and will receive no personal advantage in providing their case and photos to share, I am personally extremely grateful for such individuals, as without their permission, patient cases and results would be very limited and this would make research, understanding doctors capabilities and assisting individuals to make their decision on their preferred doctor, almost an impossibility.

The motivation for posting this case, despite not having the best images, was that as a clinic, we receive countless enquiries and questions on a weekly basis from individuals who find themselves in a similar situation and require repair surgery. They request examples of results to see what may be possible, even if not considering BHR Clinic, but to provide them some hope of how they may possibly be able to be repaired. With that in mind, I believe that it was important to share this case. Whilst some people may feel motivated to comment on the lower quality images which is fair enough, others will take real value in what is being presented and to see what is possible in regards to repair surgery with a quality surgeon. This case may just offer that bit of positivity to a patient in need of repair, which is very important and valuable to me personally.

This patient kindly updated us with these particular photos at 9 months post surgery, and by his own admission did not intend to provide photos until 12 months, but did so due to the positive impact his result has achieved.
I couldn't be happier for him, and we will try and provide better quality photos at the 12 month stage to show his final result.
