Rahal FUE - Norwood 3.5

Recommended Posts

46 year old patient came in to restore his receded hairline and front area. He was headed to an isolated forelock with time. Dr. Rahal designed a hairline without dropping the front and adding density and adjusting the lateral temple angles part of the hairline, as well adding grafts behind the forelock. This created more uniformity and thus allows more styling options.

Only 2008 grafts were used at a density of 43 grafts per cm.

does one's hair typically change color after a hair transplant?

My transplanted hair came through very dark on top. The doctor told me this is for two reasons:

1) The original hair on top has had a lot of sun over the years and in my case it was light blond. The top of your head forms a plateau so it will always be fairer than the back and sides.

2) The thin, vellous hairs on top had lost much of their pigment over the years due to MPB, so they were also lighter because of that.

So after I had the HT everyone was asking me if I had dyed my hair. I hadn't. But it appeared that way. This is because hair was moved from the back where it was much darker, to on top.
