Senior Member Sean Posted May 27, 2017 Senior Member Share Posted May 27, 2017 Tbcruz, would the doc be planting any of those 2000 grafts in zones that have existing native hairs? Esp the weaker zones in the fron? Just be careful of shockloss. Norwood 3? Looks like you should monitor your loss since you are 28 and the loss may be advancing another stage. What density is is the doc placing in your front recipient zone? Did you get a micron test to measure your hair caliber? The thicker the hair, the better coverage may be woth less grafts. The thinner the hair, the more coverage you may need. Best of luck.

Senior Member home1212 Posted May 27, 2017 Senior Member Share Posted May 27, 2017 you're still young, unclear if you've tried meds to stabilize your hair loss as it will inevitably be continuous and progressive, with that in mind I'd go very conservative with your frontal restoration, remember you will be chasing or trying to keep up with whatever hairline you chose as you lose existing native hair behind the transplanted grafts. You need to have a "long term plan" for your donor management and not just jump into a HT for the sake of it as you will require future surgeries - please keep that in mind and bring that up with your doctor when you're consulting etc.

I want to start with a good foundation in the front and build a nice hairline exactly where my native hair is now and then work my way back if my hair ends up getting that bad. Which I doubt because no1 in my family is a Norwood 5 or 6. Dr Nader seems like a good surgeon and does good work for a good price so I think as far as doctor his ability to produce constant good results seems good. All his patient reviews are positive. Senior Member Sean Posted May 28, 2017 Senior Member Share Posted May 28, 2017 Norwood 3v from those pics but could advance. Hair caliber looks thinner so depending on the size of area covered it may be sufficient. Def get on meds if you can and your body allows it under the supervision of a doc. But honestly, be careful. It is not as straightforward as it seems. You do not want to end up a repair patient chasing repairs. Make sure you have everything in writing. If you do not get the right result then the doc should repair at least . Think this through though. Having a virgin scalp may be a blessing. Get multiple opinions by docs. I really hope the doc nails it for you. If you go with it, document well online and show updates. I really hope this goes well for you.

The lesser pigmented hair is less visible in creating the illusion of coverage. My opinions are my own. I am one representative of MyWHTC Clinic's European branch. Hopefully it doesn't advance that much but I will never know. If I base it off of my family I should do good. I don't want to drop down the hairline or anything crazy I just want to stay where I am but fill in temples and thicken the rest out if I have to go for a second pass in the future I have no problem with that. I deff don't want to be a repair patient at all. This doctor seems ethical and like I said has a lot of positive on this forum. I have a list of questions that I will be asking when I get there and if I feel like something is off I won't go through with it. Here are some pics thank you First things first. You need to get on Finasteride ASAP. As in, today. Second, I believe 2000 grafts is selling yourself way short. I suggest that you get 2000 to lower your receding hairline and an additional 1000 to increase the crown and midpoint density.

I had my hairline restored 15 weeks ago. I went EXTREMELY conservative because I didn't want to chase my hairline for 25 years. People who get their hairline placed almost straight without the typical mature recessions in the temple areas are doing themselves a giant disservice. Senior Member Arminius Posted July 29, 2017 Senior Member Share Posted July 29, 2017 You're currently NW3, but you're diffusing and you're going to end up a high norwood (at least norwood 5). I agree. I was diffusing as well and got on Finasteride right away. Seems to be helping big time. I caution this patient to go very conservative with his hairline. I think you are going to be much higher than a NW3. Likely NW5 or NW6. Diffuse pattern is quite noticeable. Your crown seems to be very low density and the diffusing pattern is moving down the centre of your head towards the front. You are still in your 20s, so I cannot overemphasize how important it is for you to begin preventative treatment via meds.

My approach is to be conservative. Spoke to my doc and he said don't start any meds now til after the procedure. I don't want to touch the crown yet . I want to start at the hairline and work my way back if it gets that bad. Crown is last on the list of priority. Your hair looks great! But your crown is certainly thinning. I had the same issue but Finasteride has already improved my density (been on it for roughly 15 weeks). I don't quite comprehend why your doctor would recommend delaying taking Finasteride, by even 24 hours! My doctor told me to get on it IMMEDIATELY (prior to the surgery).
