no I'm not concerned because I trust Dr. Erdogan 100%. That's why I chose him and I know that the result will be great. I also research a lot and it is all normal. The real reason of that is not the shock loss. Since you had thousands of holes and serious injections on your head, the blood circulation is weak around that area and that prevents your native hair to grow. So actually its not a shock loss. Make sure you get your fin daily. In my case its already getting better each day. Be patient and don't think about your hair at least for 4 months. At the end you will realize that you freaked out for nothing.

SanDiegan...I appreciate your positivity. It's funny how I mentally prepared myself before the procedure but yet I'm doing the things I said I wouldn't post open and that is worrying. I'll try and relax for the next little while. Thanks again for the reply

My shockloss looked at it's worse about 6 weeks and took another 6 weeks before I looked back to normal. It's just part of the process mate.

5 month update!!! So yesterday marks exactly 5 months since my procedure. I would say my hair is pretty close to the same it was pre op with lots of grafts sprouting however they're are very fine hairs and don't add much to my density. Hopefully over the next couple of months I see more growth and thickening

Looking for opinions!!! I'm close to 5.5 month mark and as for my density, well, it hasn't changed much at all yet. I know everyones result is different and density comes at the later stages but i've noticed my hair still looks see through. Has anyone had this similar experience at 5.5 month mark...let me know, thanks!

5.5 months is still relatively early. The bulk for most occurs between 3 - 7 months so you likely have a while yet for improvement. Usually by 7 months you have a good idea of what you're going to end up with.

Again its impossible to tell you anything accurately because you seem to want to compare yourself to others but don't post decent photos for some reason.

If the result is outright bad at 7 months there is a very low chance it will drastically improve. If it is adequate at 7 months, 20% improvement and changes to hair texture from 7-12 which is typical can turn it into a fantastic result. At 5.5 months you still have plenty of time for newer sprouts to emerge, thicken and get to a length where they make a cosmetic difference.

I'm not sure where you read that I was comparing myself to anyone else but I was simply asking a density question. I was simply stating that I'm lacking density which I know is a very early statement to make however posting good photos doesn't make a single difference since I wasn't asking if you think I'm lacking density, I was asking a question about density, but I appreciate your response.

Not trying to be a dick, I'm at 3.5 month mark and going through the same stress but the positive is that you could potentially have another 50% left in the tank and at least a few months before any conclusions can be made.

Is that me comparing myself to anyone or was I asking if anyone could compare themselves to me....much different.

But yes I agree I still have tons of time. I was more so asking for reassurance since we all know what this process is like, slow and painful.

Here's my 6 month update (6 months and 4 days to be exact) I'm finally starting to notice some changes so.hopefully this is the start of things to come. However I'm not going to lie I'm slightly concerned with the right side of my front hairline where I had a decent amount of recession. I'm hoping it fills in because right now it looks very thin. Let me know what you guys think!

Hi Ponchik,

Comparing your pre op pics, you have a great improvement. The density at the front is strong. I do agree the right side is a bit behind. However as its said in this forum on many occasions, you have another 6 to 8 months to fill out, and you must be patient. I think you will have a great result - another Dr Koray success. Hold in there guy :)

Thanks bro! I'm hoping this is a sign of things to come. In the past my hair has grown extremely slow so I may be one of those guys who sees best results at 12+ months...time will tell I guess

9 months post op- can anyone offer an opinion on this part of my hair...I've definitely noticed an improvement in my hair but my areas of recession still look like this..more so on this side than the other but none the less it's a bit worrisome. Any thoughts?

Hi Ponchik,

It does look a little see through as you say. To be fair the picture is not the best. The upside is the hair calibre should improve, and you should still see improvements up to and beyond 12 months. Please post a few better shots with the other side showing. Good luck, hope you see an improvement over the next few months.

I just reached 9 months and I figured I’d post some updated photos. I just recently posted my worrisome area which is in my temple recession areas. I’m really hoping these areas fill out because I still feel a little insecure about those areas. I still have quite a few half inch baby hairs that hopefully mature within the next few months.

Hi Ponchik,

Thanks for posting the improved pics. Wow, you must be pleased. We are always critical and want perfection, but if you look at where you started its an incredible transformation. The question I would suggest you pose yourself is.... Would you be happy with your 9 month results, if you had been able to see them prior to the procedure. I would be surprised if the answer was no. See how the 'worrisome' areas go and maybe consider a touch up. Personally I would be over the moon. Good luck and hope the hair continues to improve.
