How common is it to have most of the transplanted hairs unshed one month post op?

So I'm nearing one month post op, and would venture to say out of 1800 plus grafts, only 200 or 300 have shed, the majority are there...and unless my mind is playing tricks, the hair appears to be getting longer, I can see the shaved down hair emerging from the scalp as well, but it is substantially shorter than the new grafts that have retained the follicle.

Is it unheard of for 80 percent of new grafts to start growing right away?

This is interesting to me, as this is my third HT, by this time in the other two i shed most the follicles from the grafts.

1 minth is too early to call. I think 2 months is usually the low point. While it is not unheard of and not extremely unusual. It is.definitely a notable event when this happens.

You may very well see more shedding in the next 2-4 weeks.

I inspected my hair intensely today...these grafts appear to be growing! Hair is 3/4 of an inch long, the other hair that was shaved down is just barely emerging from the scalp, all one month post-op...I rubbed and tugged on my hair to see if i could encourage shedding, not one came out.

I dunno what's going on, but if 80 percent of the grafts are growing immediately without shedding I must be a record if it continues.

Yes it's normal to shed most of the hair after 1 month. Yes they do grow a little before they shed. The illusion of growth usually is just the hair shaft that was attached to the follicle slowly coming out to finally shed. I shed most of my hair only after the first month.

There's no illusion here thus far, hair is far longer than the follicles of the implants, trust me, I've seen many a shed follicle after an HT over the years.

For whatever reason, for the time being at least, a majority of the newly implanted hairs are growing at 4 and a half weeks post op.

It's always possible that a higher percent of the grafts remained in the growth phase. Eventually, they will cycle through the next phases.
