Regular Member mnash0912 Posted June 19, 2015 Regular Member Share Posted June 19, 2015 I am re-posting with my pre-op and post op pics. Please provide me feedback. I am 3 weeks removed from my procedure with DR Cooley and am extremely pleased so far. I went in for a 3500 FUT procedure with PRP. I have attached before pictures. Sorry about the quality. I had the grafts added to my front and to my crown area. All in all I received 3648 grafts. Here is the breakdown.... Please provide me feedback. 1's=501 2's=1838 3's=923 4's=278 5's=

Regular Member mnash0912 Posted July 10, 2015 Author Regular Member Share Posted July 10, 2015 I am roughly 40 days post op and wanted to get your feedback on my scarring. I had a FUT procedure just south of 3700 units +PRP. Can you give me some feedback on how you think my scar is healing? Dr Cooley was great and said that he felt everything looked excellent when i got my sutures out. He believes i will eventually be able to get to a number 2 I'm following instructions and am taking it easy since I'm still healing. I am on my laptop a lot for work and tilt my head down quite a bit. Could this be affecting the scarring. I feel like it's healing better around my ears than in the back. I could be a little paranoid as well. I m just looking for some honest feedback. I attached 5 pics below. The 4th one is most concerning to me. Thanks! Senior Member thisguy1 Posted February 21, 2016 Senior Member Share Posted February 21, 2016 Would love an update if you ever make it back to the forum. Lucky ducky to have all those 4s and almost unheard of 5s. Great density at >2.3 hair per FU. Jan 2016 - 3800 graft FUT with Dr. Konior NW 5A to 6. Docs whose results I am most consistently impressed with: Konior, Cooley (FUT), Hasson (FUT), Diep (FUE) (yeah I like the zig zag).
Senior Member Dutchie Posted February 21, 2016 Senior Member Share Posted February 21, 2016 Jeezus Christ, so you made me add up all kinds of grafts and hairs and shit. I hate you!! So here goes it: Singles: 501 Douces: 1838 = 3676 Triples: 923 = 2, 769 Fours: 278 = 1,112 Fives: 108 = 540 Total = (approximately) 8,100 grafts

Regular Member mnash0912 Posted February 22, 2016 Author Regular Member Share Posted February 22, 2016 It's been a long time since I've posted. I'm at 8.5 months and am pretty happy with my results so far. I may have had unrealistic expectations but I'm hoping for more in my crown specifically. I had 3648 grafts that were split between my crown and my hairline. As you saw about I had a great ratio of roughly 2.4 hairs per graft. I also had PRP as well. The lighting in the pictures below isn't great so I attached several. A few questions to the board..... 1. How much growth/thickness can I expect from here on out? I'm at 8.5 months 2. What do you think of the results? 3. How many additional grafts do you feel are needed to fill in remainder of crown? Feedback please!!

Feedback please!! Thanks for coming back and updating us. How did you split the grafts on crown vs everyone else? You had a hairline rebuilt and forelock work needed and that looks great (the one photo that is upside down that shows your hairline with your hair up in shows this) The crown is notorious for being a "black hole" of grafts AND being slower growth so you got a good result for 8 months. The thickness and density stuff really kicks in for probably 5-6 months more. I am sure Dr. Cooley would be best to ask how many more on crown but I'd not bother to investigate until at least 3 months more as you still are in last stages of "graft growth" and then still have a lot of months of thickening. Regular Member mnash0912 Posted February 22, 2016 Author Regular Member Share Posted February 22, 2016 I had my grafts split between my hairline and crown pretty evenly. The crown received the grafts with higher multiples.

Pete-from-Farjo
Clearly a significant improvement there. Very natural looking. At 8.5 months, you're probably seeing pretty much your final result, with just perhaps some maturing/thickening to come. Congrats. Regular Member Mue Posted February 23, 2016 Regular Member Share Posted February 23, 2016 Very nice improvement. You will see more thickening in subsequent months ahead. For me I felt I had more thickening occur after about the 8 to 9 month.
Regular Member mnash0912 Posted March 9, 2016 Author Regular Member Share Posted March 9, 2016 My scar is getting better. I still feel like I have some redness in certain spots and hope it goes away soon. I use a #5 guard on he sides. Dr Cooley believes I can go down to a #2 but I don't think i could at this point. I'm curious if anyone else has had redness on there scar 9 months in? Thanks
Senior Member CaliHairGuy Posted March 9, 2016 Senior Member Share Posted March 9, 2016 I don't have redness, but I can see the scar with my hair wet with a #6...but I think that's because of how the hair is laying. My hair naturally comes forward, which when I am looking in the mirror is like having the hair not layer over itself. So kind of like looking down a 2 dimensional piece of paper. People can't see it from the side though, it's only me lol. Every once in awhile, my scar area is itchy and I am 11 months out from Konior...one of the best. There is nothing wrong, mind you, but I can tell I don't have a virgin scalp if that makes sense. No complaints though, just want people to understand surgery is surgery. Senior Member jcs87 Posted November 25, 2017 Senior Member Share Posted November 25, 2017 hey man, results already look good at the 9mo mark so congrats. Could we see some pics of the final results since there has most likely been some thickening since the last photos were posted.
