Senior Member andy_+_+ Posted September 25, 2015 Senior Member Share Posted September 25, 2015 Hi Arekk, Looks good so far for 5 months. I hope that everything turns out great this go around. Moving forward will you be doing more fue or fut? And what did you think of the difference between the two?
Regular Member Arekk Posted October 9, 2015 Author Regular Member Share Posted October 9, 2015 I had a consultation with Dr Bisanga two weeks ago, he said that due to my illness (lichen planopilaris), I have to use the medicine for at least 12-18 months, to stabilize the disease. A large surgery would be too large trauma for my head (body) and the illnes could activate, so it is needed to proceed in small steps in my case. I have to be patient If it will be possible in the future, I would like to stretch line with the hair to the back of my head, I don't expect high density, but I would like to reduce the contrast between front with hair and bald top of my head. Next week I will send a photos 7 months after procedure.
Senior Member sl Posted October 9, 2015 Senior Member Share Posted October 9, 2015 Hi Arrek, I think a wise approach if one has Lichen Planopilaris, a slow approach is probably best and hope you have had good growth from the last surgery and looking forward to the updates. All the best. I represent Dr. Bisanga. Dr. Christian Bisanga is recommended on the Hair Transplant Network

Senior Member home1212 Posted January 3, 2016 Senior Member Share Posted January 3, 2016 Arrek, there is definitely some improvement in growth and better density - like others have stated, let your hair grow out a bit longer for better illusion of coverage - best wishes
Senior Member thisguy1 Posted February 16, 2016 Senior Member Share Posted February 16, 2016 Photos 25 days after ht.Biopsy have shown that I have lichen planopilaris, an uncommon inflammatory scalp disorder, it accelerates balding proces. I have to use topical corticosteroids. First, let me say I am rooting for you big time after reading thru your 2 threads. Second, go #Polska Third, we are seeing some results this time around so the 1k test patch has done more improvement than the other 3K FUT. So there is hope and I am cheering that. Fourth, who diagnosed your scalp disorder. Was it independent of the HT clinic? Did you get a second opinion? I am not asking that specific to this clinic but I'd want an analysis independent of the clinic as I could see some clinics making up things to explain a botched operation. Not this one but just a general statement. Fifth, you've had amazing patience. I know most of us on here would have been up in arms and frantic around month 7 if not earlier. You see people here panic if they don't get growth in month 3 - which is silly. But you stayed respectful and patient throughout. I hope it didn't stress your life too much. I will continue to root for you and hope for continued growth for you. Jan 2016 - 3800 graft FUT with Dr. Konior NW 5A to 6. Docs whose results I am most consistently impressed with: Konior, Cooley (FUT), Hasson (FUT), Diep (FUE) (yeah I like the zig zag).
Regular Member Arekk Posted February 22, 2016 Author Regular Member Share Posted February 22, 2016 Hello, Here are the photos 11 months after second ht, with a little bit longer hair, but I feel better when the hair are shorter, I think it is a better effect when hair are the same lengh directly after cutting, so I will send photos after cutting in a few days. The biopsy from my scalp was taken during second ht in the BHR clinic. I think it is very proffesional clinic and I think diagnosed scalp disorder is a good explanation of poor result first time. I think in the future I will take a second biopsy, but rather to check if disease is stabilized. It would be great if I was completly healthy, but I think it is unfortunately impossible. here you can see my blog with all photos: Hair Restoration Websites
Regular Member Arekk Posted April 28, 2016 Author Regular Member Share Posted April 28, 2016 Hello, Here are my photos 13 months after HT. One month ago I had consultations with Dr Bisanga, I'm not very happy because he said I have to wait about 2 or 3 years, this is related with my disease (lichen planopilaris), there is possibility that I will lose my hair, so there is no sense to make ht in the nearest future. I have to wait and see how situation develops. But from the other side everything could be ok and I hope hair will stay on my head. Summarizing maybe the effect of my ht is not perfect, but I’m happy I have hair on the front of my head. I wish to move the line with the hair about 2-3 cm to the back of my head because I feel the lack in this area, I hope it will be possible in the future. Regular Member Arekk Posted February 26, 2017 Author Regular Member Share Posted February 26, 2017 Here is an update of my post, photos were taken on February 2017, so it's 3 years after my first ht and 2 years after my second ht by Dr Bisanga. To see the difference there are 2 photos taken before my first ht. Unfortunetly as you can read above, I was lichen planopilaris diagnosed. Thanks to biopsy taken by Dr Bisanga I know about my disease and I use topical clobetasol 3 times a week, so I hope I will help to keep my hair. I can't make any ht in the nearest time because there is a risk that lichen planopilaris will kill transplanted grafts. I hope in the future Dr Bisanga will try to cover by hair my vertex area but I have to wait a few years. Generaly I'm quite happy because as you see I wolud be completly bald without makeing ht
