Regular Member GuitarBoy Posted August 17, 2014 Regular Member Share Posted August 17, 2014 Hi everyone. I'm a 30 year old guy, an NW 2, and I've been contemplating my HT for a while. I have roughly narrowed down my choices as follows - if I do FUT I will choose between Feller, Rahal, Shapiro and Konior (maybe True/Dorin...). And if I go the FUE route, I'll go with Lorenzo. Having said that, since my main focus will be my temples and the very front of my hairline, I was wondering if anyone could recommend a surgeon who is renowned for really good hairlines? All advice welcome.... Also feel free to recommend who you would pick from my list above...
JoeTillman
Rahal is known for hairlines first and foremost. You should take a strong look at the results I've posted of Rahal FUE over the past few weeks. There are dozens and dozens more that were posted before I came on board with Rahal but you get the idea. The photos are also taken without the use flash which I have spoken about for years. Flash makes hairlines look unrealistic in density and fullness. http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/176421-rahal-fue-1616-grafts-1-year.html http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/176337-rahal-fue%99-result-2017-grafts-1-year-post.html http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/176272-update-must-see-rahal-fue-results-1413-grafts.html
Senior Member 1978matt Posted August 17, 2014 Senior Member Share Posted August 17, 2014 (edited) Out of your list my preference would be: 1. Konior 2. Rahal 3. = Ron/Paul Shapiro = Feller 5. Lorenzo Here's a recent thread that may be useful: http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/170615-best-hairlines.html I am also liking in particular the recent work of Bisanga, Cooley, Feriduni and Gabel. Matt any particular reason why Lorenzo is last, is he not as good with hairlines? I would have thought he'd be 2nd at the very least his work seems among the best I've seen. He has seemingly made hundreds of vids available and all seem consistently high quality finished results. Welcome your feedback. Thanks

They are fine but I'm not convinced the implanter pen technique offers the best looking results on the hairline. 4,312 FUT grafts (7,676 hairs) with Ray Konior, MD - August 2013 1,145 FUE grafts (3,152 hairs) with Ray Konior, MD - August 2018 763 FUE grafts (2,094 hairs) with Ray Konior, MD - January 2020 Proscar 1.25mg every 3rd day
Senior Member bismarck Posted August 18, 2014 Senior Member Share Posted August 18, 2014 Matt any particular reason why Lorenzo is last, is he not as good with hairlines? Thanks Some here have suggested that Lorenzo is a bit more conservative with his hairline work. Does anyone have decent links to some of Feriduni's representative hairlines (either good or bad)? Is he the best amongst FUE for hairline work? Regular Member GuitarBoy Posted August 18, 2014 Author Regular Member Share Posted August 18, 2014 I'm really curious to hear people's opinions for sure. My hair isn't so bad apart from at the temples and right at the very front of the hairline, so for me top quality hairline work is the objective... Senior Member Mickey85 Posted August 23, 2014 Senior Member Share Posted August 23, 2014 My personal preferences? Mwamba, Erdogan, Konior and Feriduni. All stellar at designing hairlines. Senior Member PupDaddy Posted August 23, 2014 Senior Member Share Posted August 23, 2014 Personal preference. They are fine but I'm not convinced the implanter pen technique offers the best looking results on the hairline. What Matt said. Lateral slits (not possible with round needles) still offer the best looking hairline results, imo. I also agree with Matt's inclusion of Dr. Gabel on a list of top hairline docs to watch. Senior Member KO Posted August 23, 2014 Senior Member Share Posted August 23, 2014 I agree with Matt I think strip surgeons are doing better hairlines. I think HW are surprisingly underrated when it comes to discussions abt hairlines. 3382 FUE Lupanzula http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/185463-3382-grafts-lupanzula.html
