Help Please! Choosing a FUE doc

Hello everyone.

I'm from portugal and im considering the option to have a HT.

So i wanted to ask you if you could suggest me a good doctor that had the best results/price relation.

Im on my early 20s and i have a receding hairline, im on a norwood 3.

I thought about opting for FUE and i have sent some photos to some HT clinics online consultations and i was told by the most i needed somewhat around 2000fus to have a good density on the hairline.

I've been following some doctors work for the past times and im most inclined to two of them which are Dr Hakan Doganay and Farjo clinic's Dr. Lorenzo.

But im not sure which one i should go with since its a big investment for me and im new to this subject, so i thought it was a good idea to ask you guys if you could help me.

I hope you can help me and thanks in advance.

Hi,

I 37 and had FUE with Dr. Lorenzo yesterday and today (3003 grafts).

I will be asking Mick from Farjo to post up the info/pics when he can.

The clinic is state of the art and the team there have done a wonderful job on my head, you get what you pay for, for the very best it will be re-assuringly expensive.

Dr Koray Erdogan does excellent work and is relatively low priced.

2 poor unsatisfactory hair transplants performed in the UK.

Based on vast research and meeting patients, I travelled to see Dr Feller in New York to get repaired.

Thanks for all the replies.

Carl-UK, im glad u satisfied, for what ive seen from Dr Lorenzo its guaranteed satisfaction, ill be waiting for the post up's.

chrisdav, yes i was a bit skeptical about that doctor at first but i've been looking at some results and they are amazing, Dr Koray Erdogan is also now in my options to go with.

As for me, im getting more confused as i seek for the best choice.

If i went with dr Lorenzo would it be better to have the procedure made in Farjo clinic or in Madrid since im from Portugal?

In Turkey im also pondering about Dr Koray Erdogan instead of Hakan Doganay.

Do you guys think Dr Lorenzo is worth the price difference ?

If not, which one from the both in turkey should i go with ?

Feel free to make any questions also, because i know im being quite vague about my case.

Thanks again for the help given.

Cheers

Choose wisely. This isnt a game and you can not go by with what any advertisement or agency says.

FUE is skilled in the hands of those who put more labor and effort into it. Remember these words.

Erdogan is excellent. So is Lorenzo. So is Keser. So is Umar. There are more but do analyze them carefully. You dont want to get screwed over by spending triple the amount and having a half ass hair transplant job right? You dont want to have a crooked hairline right? You dont want to request temple closures and lowering the hairline only to have the opposite done right? You dont want to have high density and then get see through density right? You dont want to have strange facial framing and have people look at your forehead or front of your hairline right? You dont want to have to come back repeatadly to correct and fix issues right? Then choose wisely. I know numerous folks that arent happy and remain quiet. So, pick only from the proven and from the best across forums. Everyone else, their results should tell you the real story. These forums should serve as a platform for tranparency more than marketing since this surgery plays on the emotions of the suffering. So you should find ample info across these forums.

Sean, how was your final result with Rahal for FUE? Would you recommend him? I know he's primarily a strip surgeon so I was unsure about his FUE? I heard he used a motorised punch and doesn't do the extractions? What's your final verdict? How did yours turn out in the end?

Thanks Sean, thats a big help in realizing that this is a big step, and i must not precipitate.

I'm not rich and this is a BIG investment and for me i think it would be some kind of life changing because each day i cant stand it even more.

Also, i've sent my pics and filled a form to INJERTOCAPILAR.COM and the answer wasnt very encouraging:

With 24 years old and without finasteride is not indicated to do a procedure. If somebody are agree to do a procedure in that condition, take care.

Please research, go to the forum and see how we treat alopecia. If with 24 you are a NW III, means that in 10 years you will have an advance alopecia.

Not candidato, please start medication.

Regards,

Well, to this i must say that i only do minoxidil, that ive done finasteride for a few months in the passed, but i quit it, i was afraid of the side effects everyone talked about.

And also i had been medicated with anti depressives, which i was afraid the mix of finasteride and antidepressants could not combine well together.

So now i dunno what to do, should i start taking finasteride?

try Hakan or Erdogan for low cost FUE

I would visit a doctor, preferably a hair loss doc and ask about starting low-dose Fin

go dense or go home

i told about fin to my doctor today ( Internal medicine doctor ) and he told me, that the fin in conjunction with the meds i already take wouldn't do any harm, BUT. it was dangerous to take finasteride because i could very probably develop prostate cancer later.

Fin works to help reduce an enlarged prostate, and although I am not a doctor I believe the real prostate cancer risk with Fin is that it makes the detection of early cancer more difficult.

Before going on Fin my doctor made me have a screening test for prostate cancer.

You should do the same if you decide to start.

go dense or go home

Is there any specific products with those vitamins and minerals that is good, that people here use??

I think overall my scalp is good, but my hair tends to be oily. And sometimes, rarely, it gets a little sensitive or red, and other times it flakes a little.
