Senior Member hairthere Posted March 5, 2013 Senior Member Share Posted March 5, 2013 HDC does some amazing work, and I love the way your clinic documents. Some temple point work would really benefit this guy, IMO, but he looks much improved! Bill - Seemiller
Alex, I agree that the results as they appear are impressive. But I do think there are some inconsistencies in these and other photos you and your clinic present. For example, many of your before pictures show wet hair, which always makes hair appear thinner. Also, back lighting, angling, hairstyling, flash versus no flash will make a differerence in the appearance of a result. In this case, several of the above noted inconsistencies are present. While no flash is preferred, I'm more keen on consistency in presenting results. I recommend reading the discussion topic "How to Take and Present Realistic and Compelling Photos" for more information. In this case, I suggest presenting some before pictures of dry hair showing multiple angles of the scalp. I also think it would be helpful if you and/or the patient could post photos showing the top of the patient's scalp. Moving forward, I recommend reviewing the above photo taking and presentation tips and implementing them to be more consistent. Thanks and best wishes, Bill
Senior Member ALEXD Posted March 8, 2013 Author Senior Member Share Posted March 8, 2013 Hi Everyone, I want to disclose that I have been informed by the patient that he has started Propecia and Minoxidil, two months after surgery. I have some selected some more photos to present for this patient. I can confirm with certainty that according to the patient none of the posted photos has any concealer. However, the patient has been updating his case from day one in another forum with maybe more than 100 photos. I can give you the link if it is allowed to go in and read all the 15 pages posted directly by the patient. This specific case is one of the most documented ones directly by the patient. So it holds no doubts whatsoever about the result. We also have prepared a tube video that you can see on this link. Bill - Seemiller
Alex, Thanks for the explanation and for addressing the concerns of the community. The fact that this patient has been using Propecia and minoxidil certainly addresses why the crown appears thicker. Also, thanks for posting the video and additional photos showing the top of the patient's scalp, including the crown. I look forward to seeing additional examples of Dr. Maras recent results. Best wishes, Bill
