Regular Member CanYouHairMeNow Posted March 23, 2012 Regular Member Share Posted March 23, 2012 Hey folks, My month 10 pics have been updated to my blog. Looks to be a minimal, if any, improvement to density from month 9.
Senior Member Dutch Posted March 23, 2012 Senior Member Share Posted March 23, 2012 Considering the small number of grafts over that area, I'd say it's a good result so far & you still have time for improvement over the next few months so don't be too concerned. Also, remember that your hair is very short. The illusion of density comes from the angle of the hairs that were placed & also from the style of the hair is worn. Grow it a bit longer & you'll see. I had my hair cut by 1cm & it doesn't look as good to me now because it's short now. http://www.hairtransplantnetwork.com/blog/home-page.asp?WebID=2329
Senior Member Spanker Posted March 23, 2012 Senior Member Share Posted March 23, 2012 You may not see much of an improvement on that, but I think it looks really good. Senior Member Sean Posted March 23, 2012 Senior Member Share Posted March 23, 2012 You had 1548 Grafts. In your preop pics, you could clearly see that you were developing a horseshoe like hairloss pattern. 10 month pics, I do see an improvement. You still have 2 more months to grow. I agree, you had 1548 grafts in a larger area. Do you know the density your grafts were planted at, from the hairline and the areas behind it? Senior Member JayWalker Posted March 23, 2012 Senior Member Share Posted March 23, 2012 I think you'll really appreciate it if you grow it out. http://www.hairtransplantnetwork.com/blog/journal.asp?CopyID=10024&WebID=2832 October 2011 - 1647 FUT - Dr Dorin January 2014 - 1580 FUT - Dr Dorin
Senior Member chrisdav Posted March 23, 2012 Senior Member Share Posted March 23, 2012 Totally agree Jaywalker. 2 poor unsatisfactory hair transplants performed in the UK. Based on vast research and meeting patients, I travelled to see Dr Feller in New York to get repaired.
Senior Member Capelli11 Posted March 23, 2012 Senior Member Share Posted March 23, 2012 Looks like a nice improvement. I think you should try to grow out your hair to really see the improvement...keeping it short doesn't help. Reason being you need to find your sweet spot and that usually is when you grow out your hair a little longer. Nice results regardless!!! -HT with Dr. Rahal- December 2011- 4,616 grafts FUT Check out my website updates: http://www.hairtransplantnetwork.com/blog/home-page.asp?WebID=2225 My HT write up: http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/164084-my-hair-transplant-dr-rahal-4-600-fut-write-up-pics.html My FOXBAR write up: http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/164085-my-foxbar-write-up-dr-rahal-4-600-fut.html
Regular Member CanYouHairMeNow Posted March 23, 2012 Author Regular Member Share Posted March 23, 2012 thanks for the input guys. I used to have my hair cut with a #4, but I went down to a #2 or raised #2 at the start of my journey. In attempts to keep my updates consistent, I've kept my hair length the same. I will say that I like started to prefer the shorter hair, as I feel more aerodynamic, but I do agree it exposes my secret. I'm planning to change things up after a year. To you folks that have gone through with HTs, did you see a noticeable improvement from month 9 onward? I understand each case is different, but we're always hoping for more. Senior Member hair1978 Posted March 26, 2012 Senior Member Share Posted March 26, 2012 Great result! I just past my 3 month post-op with Dr Diep. I'm starting to see some growth, but low density at this point. I got many months to go before I reach your mark. http://www.hairtransplantnetwork.com/blog/home-page.asp?WebID=2294
Senior Member Buzz2 Posted March 26, 2012 Senior Member Share Posted March 26, 2012 I dont think you need to grow it out. From the pics shown that is a massive improvement. You have a completely different and younger hair line. Ive had a similar amout of grafts in the same area. If I get that result, Ill be over the moon !!! HT No1 : Nobel clinic, Gatwick 500 grafts - Terrible result, left with bumpy skin HT No2 : Marwan Saifi 1680 grafts. Great result HT No3 - Marwan Saifi 1250 grafts. Another good result. HT No4 - Hakan Doganay 2134 grafts. Result TBA Total 5134 grafts.
